So.

First off, happy May Day, everyone.

Today’s the last day of April. Looking back on this month, I finished the Mu Ling arc. I’m fairly satisfied with the story. As for follows, they kept dropping as usual. *helpless laugh*

But no matter how the numbers turn out, there’s a chance the book will go premium in July. If that does happen, I hope I can still count on the support of everyone who’s made it this far.

...

So, this volume mainly focused on Little Ash. And the heroine of this storyline has basically been decided too—it’s Little Ash, Bai’s daughter.

I really like Little Ash as a character.

Before becoming a Deity, Little Ash had a terminal illness. Not only could she do nothing but wait for death, the crushing medical bills also tore her whole family apart. She finally became Misfortune and got her body back, but her mother had taken her own life just a moment earlier. That violent clash between overwhelming joy and crushing grief was the real reason Misfortune came to her.

Then, after being killed by Wei, Little Ash awakened again with Ye Weibai’s help. But she had lost all her memories, and became a kind, soft, doll-sized “daughter.”

Personally, I really love the doll daughter setup. Buying figure clothes and things for a palm-sized daughter is just too great.

Little Ash’s character setting is definitely more than just being cute. Though of course, being cute is also absolutely essential. *laugh*

Just as Bai said—

“Little Ash, you really are my weakness.”

Little Ash is exactly Bai’s soft spot.

I won’t go into more detail than that, or it’d be spoilers. And spoilers get the whole family killed, so even the author can’t mess around with that. *laugh*

...

Now then, about the next volume.

Just like I told that reader “Pit-Dropping Maniac,” it’ll be a proper, straightforward story.

I’m going to try telling a story about “atmosphere” and the “anti-hero.”

All the clues and evidence will be laid out right from the start.

And what makes it interesting is... how to break the deadlock.
