End of Volume

At the end of the volume, I had nothing to write for the author’s note, so I just slacked off and did a Q&A in the group chat. Here are the collected questions and the official answers!

————————

Q: How far has everyone raised Master Ye’s affection level? Has it already met the route-clear conditions, but she still can’t get over the hurdle in her heart? Or is it more like, play however you want, the protagonist doesn’t care?

A: The moment she passes the comrade check, affection automatically maxes out. But there’s no marriage option. It’s basically that kind of feeling. Still, Master Ye likes being forced, so you don’t need to worry about it.

Q: What exactly is Jixia?

A: Simply put, she’s the author’s avatar. Even though she only said a few lines in her first appearance, I secretly wrote a ton of detailed settings for her. Some of that will show up in her second appearance. For now, you just need to know that her aura and combat power are both absurdly high.

The Hundred Schools of Thought are so romantic. Longlifers are so romantic.

Those two ideas were what gave birth to this character.

If I get the time, I might write a lifespan-theory side story for her. It’ll be called Miss Jixia’s Thousand-Year Smile.

Q: When is the author going to crossdress?

A: The place you’re standing in now, I already passed through ten years ago! Join the group and you can claim a casual snapshot of me in women’s clothes.

————————

Q: When will 01 get to taste Master Ye?

A: At the end of the next volume. Confirmed.

————————

Q: Does Ye-sf have any chance to turn things around and become the top?

A: No.

————————

Q: When will the author turn into a kitty?

A: I don’t have that kind of ability.

————————

Q: When are we getting a multiplayer orgy?

A: When 01 gets to taste Master Ye.

————————

Q: What are Coffee Moon’s stats?

A: “Coffee Moon”

True Body: Jiang Bailu

Power: None

Speed: A

Precision: A

Persistence: D

Range: C (15 meters)

Growth Potential: A

It has the ability to manipulate spatial curvature, and can freely control the degree and direction of distortion. In close-range mode, it can only be activated through contact with the ghost’s two fists, and it has real destructive power. In long-range mode, the force field it creates has limits in area, distance, and capacity.

If physical overlap occurs during the process, the part that entered first will be temporarily stored in its own subspace. If the force field is canceled midway, the affected object will snap back to its original position at extremely high speed. If it can’t withstand the torsion, it will be damaged.

Q: Check 01 little sister’s current status.

A: She’s the kind of stage-supporting character that appears in each arc. She probably won’t show up much anymore.

————————

Q: Has the alien cat—forgot the name—basically lost all screentime now too?

A: Slightly higher chance of appearing than the one above.

————————

Q: Can you post the mecha design drafts?

A: Luciferin was based on Unicorn + Wolf King.

Peace Walker’s body was based on Beast King Robo, and its legs were based on Strong Dragon Robo. Because Beast King’s blocky legs were just way too ugly.

Q: Did you slack off on that Cowboy Bebop-inspired new book you mentioned before?

A: No. The number of arcs left before this book ends hasn’t changed. It’s just that I turned out to be way better at padding than I imagined, and several side plots also need to develop slowly. At this rate, it’ll probably reach around 1.4 million words. The story’s timespan will stretch accordingly too. Anyway, I’ll just update it slowly until it’s done.

The contract requirements have changed now. For a new book, you need to prepare an outline for seventy or eighty chapters in advance, show the opening to the editor, and come up with some traffic-grabbing hook right in the prologue. I’m completely out of ideas anyway, so if I want to keep getting the attendance bonus and monthly ticket money, I’m planning to just write it under this book’s slot instead.

The title is Miss Faye’s Cosmic Funeral Rites. It seems to be about something a thousand years later.
