Aoooh— Behind Medith, the Kuso Guild that looked to flee wheeled back like a tide reversing. At their head strode a giant who blotted out the sun, each step cracking earth like ice on a river.
On his ridge-like shoulders perched a golden-whip beauty in brown gloves, a bright blouse, and hot shorts. Her tall brown boots beat time to the giant’s thunder, her face iced over.
Vmmm— The Dark Blade sang free; Cyclone keened. Two lithe figures burst from the right wing like swallows. Behind them roared hundreds from the Dusk Legion, a storm of throats.
Sais led the charge. White-clad troops streaked in like vicious red snakes, swift and sinuous, an arrow loosed from a taut bow.
Beside him, Jade wore a demon-god mask. He skimmed the ground, dragging two long, razor katana, his speed nipping at Sais’s heels like frost biting skin.
The Lina Sisters drove hundreds from the left, warhorses pounding like drums, bows bent into crescent moons. Beside them, Nameless in white antique robes tied his shoulder-length hair into a single ponytail like a black stream.
The youth shed frailty like an old skin. He gripped a Crimson Sun-patterned spear and rode with fresh steel in his spine.
Peggy kept pace with the tide of boots, her gaze set like stone, sprinting for the main field.
Iling led the remaining thousands from the front like a drawn blade, straight at the heart of the battle.
Behind Iling, Gill’s scarlet windcoat flared like a burning banner. His face twisted with rage. The scarlet Bloodsword shone in sunlight like translucent jade, so vivid it made you gag.
“Blood for blood—” Gill bellowed, raising the Bloodsword high. His empty left sleeve fluttered like a torn flag. It didn’t dent his presence; it gave him a lone-hero edge.
“Blood for blood—” The Kuso Guild hurled days of anger at the sky. As grievance spilled like smoke, their morale flared. Up ahead, Medith’s world-ending Magic Breaker hit with an unexpected payoff.
Squads hacked in from every side like wolves converging, racing to the main field. They were few, but their captains were ferocious. The Bloodhand Gang still reeled under Medith’s Lawbreaking Ability.
Facing this league of avengers, they had no way to stop the tide. In a blink, their hearts shook, the line teetered, and defeat stood one thought away.
In the pinch, a Bloodhand captain kept his cool. He vaulted from the saddle toward the nearest Medith, going for the head to break the snake.
Medith’s lips curled; a cold sneer bloomed like frost.
Zing! The holy blade thrummed and cut the sky, pointing at his skull. He tilted aside, knocked her sword off with a spear, and lunged when her stance froze for a heartbeat.
Medith spun and whipped her blade back, stabbing for the captain at arm’s reach.
“Regido.” Triumph flickered in his eyes like a sick light. Medith smiled, dismissive. Her pupils flashed. A milky-white ring shot from her eyes and bored through his body.
Back on Blood Moon day, Medith’s power changed like weather. Most direct: she can dial the Magic Breaker’s range, and wield Absolute Dominion without breaking laws.
That made her Magic Breaker transformation a true strategic weapon, edge to edge.
The captain’s body, once sheathed in black light, stopped dead. Before shock could bloom, white light crossed his sight, and then endless dark swallowed him whole.
Thud... clang-clatter... The iron helm fell with his round head, ringing against the dirt in a rattling duet.
His severed body slumped and pitched forward like a puppet with cut strings.
Medith flicked him up with her boot. She hoisted the corpse in her left hand and thundered, “Hand over Andrew! I’ll spare you! Otherwise—this is your fate!”
The battlefield, a sea in storm, fell silent in a breath. The Bloodhand Gang’s last hope shredded like paper. Their line broke. Fear surged like a tide and drowned reason. They fled for the open gate without looking back.
