Tang Ke, whose transformed persona is Tang Coco, once captained the mercenary Shadow Division. Their Mechanical Anomaly Power hums like gears under skin. After transforming, she unconsciously becomes a stunning, soft-voiced beauty, a petal in the wind. When the power runs wild, hair and pupils flare blood-red; her temperament hardens into an imperious queen, steel under velvet.

Tang Shoucheng, Tang Ke’s father, fell on a mission; he divorced early, a heavy secret sealed under his weathered armor.

Su Xinhua, Tang Ke’s mother, stays offstage for now, a veil over flame. She seems to know the secret in Tang Ke, a knot hidden beneath silk.

Gu Xin, former codename "Princess," now the "White Demon," wields Ice-type Anomaly Power. Gentle by nature, warm as spring sun, she turned reserved and cold after Tang Ke vanished. Her parents manage an international company, chasing storms of work and forgetting their daughter. After her awakening in childhood, they secretly sent her to the Shadow Division.

Meng Yuting, callsign "Phantom," is a speed-type, a flame streaking through midnight streets. Her temperament is fiery; her family in Yanjing is a mysterious Anomaly clan. She was sent to the Shadow Division as a child. She is Meng Xiaoxiao’s elder sister, a guardian hawk over a playful sparrow.

Hong Wei leads the Shadow Division, a mountain beneath a storm-gray cloak.

Rebel is bold and unrestrained, limb-enhancement Anomaly Power, fists like iron knocking thunder. Nightcat moves strangely, a shadow slipping like smoke; poison control is their art. Hawkeye is meticulous, mind sharp as a needle, built for long-range sniping.

Ye Yiyi, heiress of the Ye Group in Ninghai City, now studies at Ninghai University. She’s twenty, 172 cm tall, graceful as a willow by a quiet lake. Helpful and poised, she’s one of the university’s four campus belles, second on the old ranking. Her father is Ye Zhenghao; her mother remains a name behind curtains. Her relationship with her parents is strained, especially with her mother, like strings pulled too tight.

Li Muyan’s parents have military backgrounds; she shares a class with Ye Yiyi and is her closest friend. Bold and sometimes domineering, she’s nicknamed the "Dominant Campus Belle," a tiger behind school gates. In Ninghai, those who know her status avoid provoking her, a hornet’s nest under silk. She ranked fourth on the old list.

Meng Xiaoxiao, second daughter of Yanjing’s Meng family, is a trickster fox with bright eyes. She loves pranks, razor-sharp and playful, a bell ringing at noon. After skipping grades, she went alone to study in Ninghai.

Xu Yinuo of the Ninghai Xu clan ranked third on the old campus-belle list. Proud by nature, she serves as head of the Arts Department, a swan with ink-stained feathers.

Ouyang Lingxue shares a class with Tang Coco, descended from Yanjing’s Ouyang family. Usually aloof, she has no ties with Tang Coco yet, ice and glass awaiting a crack. Her story will unfold later, like snow falling after dusk.

The former top campus belle is studying abroad, a star drifting over the ocean; she’ll appear later.

The six great families of Ninghai are Ye, Li, Xu, Xue, Qun, and Lyu.

Xue Yupeng, twenty-eight, never attended university; his father is the mayor of Ninghai City. He walks like he owns the boulevard, sleeves catching city wind.

Qun Shaohua, twenty, is a sophomore at Ninghai University in Ye Yiyi’s class; his father heads the city police. He smiles with badge-bright confidence, a siren echoing down campus roads.

Lyu Kai, nineteen, is a Ninghai University freshman in Tang Coco’s class; his father is the deputy police chief. He’s slick as rain on stone, confidence pooling under streetlights.

Ningxin is a squad leader in the national Anomaly Power organization, responsible for the Ninghai region. Her power is mental, a quiet tide moving under thought.

Xiao Qiao is Ningxin’s assistant, light-footed like a sparrow on temple eaves.

Mu Qingcheng owns the Qingzhi City Hotel in Ninghai, with underworld ties tucked like knives behind silk. She gets along well with Ye Yiyi and Li Muyan, though neither knows her shadowed background.

Li Meng, descendant of a minor Ninghai family, is gentle and caring, soft as rain. She’s occasionally a little ditzy, like a cloud that forgets its shape. She lives in the same villa district as Ye Yiyi, lanterns glowing along shared paths.
