Wait… Something feels off.
I *clearly* remember selecting Assassin!
What the heck is “Beggar”? No way am I begging for scraps!
Thankfully, the dialog box had a [Return to Previous Menu] option.
[Return to Previous Menu.]
[Please select and learn about one subclass below.]
[Subclasses: Assassin, Minstrel, Merchant, Escort, Ranger, Diviner, Beggar.]
This time, I clicked the Assassin button with painstaking care—*extra* cautious, leaving zero room for error!
[Beggar subclass selected successfully. Please visit the Beggar subclass mentor, Street Urchin, to learn about the Beggar profession.]
…
Refusing to believe it, I returned to the previous menu again.
Selected Ranger.
[Beggar subclass selected successfully. Please visit the Beggar subclass mentor, Street Urchin, to learn about the Beggar profession.]
…
So some mysterious cosmic force *is* forcing me to beg…
I returned to the previous menu.
Selected Merchant.
[Beggar subclass selected successfully…]
Selected Escort.
[Beggar subclass selected successfully…]
Selected Diviner.
[Beggar subclass selected successfully…]
Selected Minstrel.
[Beggar subclass selected successfully…]
Selected Beggar.
[Beggar subclass selected successfully…]
Looks like I’m permanently locked into the Beggar Subclass… No choice but to accept it.
What was I *thinking* when I broke the server beyond even my own fix? Did I have a screw loose?!
Fine. Beggar it is. Not my pick, but games usually balance subclasses. Beggar may lack dignity, but its abilities aren’t necessarily weaker.
All six subclasses have unique strengths—none are objectively worse. Just preference… Plus, this is only the *first* subclass. At level 45, I can unlock a second one.
Still… zero interest in this ridiculous Beggar Subclass. I shelved the tutorial quest and turned my gaze to crafting Life Professions.
The Blacksmith shop was closest. I dashed back, confidently sold a junk piece of gear to the shopkeeper at system price, then bought a Portable Smithing Hammer and Forge Furnace.
I’d planned to test them roadside—but Adel Traffic Management Regulations forced me to retreat to a secluded spot with my tools.
[Article 8: Adventurers are prohibited from occupying roads or sidewalks for crafting. Violators face a 15% cash fine, revocation of crafting license (requiring re-passing Adel Traffic Safety Theory Exam), and a 15-day crafting skill ban.]
Harsh. Overkill. Full of flaws.
But honestly? I was thrilled! First time crafting gear myself. In my past life, blades were always custom-made by masters.
For those who live by the blade, weapons are near-obsessive. Quality = survival.
Every weapon is a warrior’s beloved. And forging *my* beloved with my own hands? Pure excitement!
Who knows what’ll emerge?
Could I get absurdly lucky and craft a Divine Artifact?
I knew it was impossible… but dreams keep us going!
[Please select weapon type to craft.]
I chose Longsword.
I can’t equip it, but Yingning can.
Her current green-tier Longsword is already elite—but *what if* I forge a Divine Artifact? Dreams matter!
[Please select weapon level to craft.]
I picked level 30. After slaying the Red Water Dragon, Yingning and I should hit thirty.
[Materials required: Grade 1 Wrought Iron x6, Grade 1 Refined Steel x6.]
I had none—but Equipment Decomposition existed.
Toss gear into the Forge Furnace; magic array melts it in 10 seconds, recovering 10% of materials.
I decomposed *twenty* junk items to get six Wrought Iron and six Refined Steel. Each yielded one random material—and Refined Steel dropped far less. Bad luck? Probably.
Switched furnace to crafting mode, dumped all materials in. Molten metal flowed smoothly through the tube into the pre-set Bar-shaped Mold.
Minutes later, cooled and solidified under magic.
[You obtained a weapon blank. Can be forged into a weapon of random quality.]
*Random!*
I adore these two words.
The cradle of all dreams!
Next: heat the blank red-hot, soften it, then fold and hammer repeatedly to purge impurities like carbon.
Fold count isn’t “more = better.” Each weapon type needs precise strikes—each hit subtly shifts stats.
One extra strike? Slightly softer blade: +1 Durability, +1 Toughness. One fewer? Harder edge: +1 Attack, -1 Durability, -1 Toughness.
All trial-and-error. Server just launched—no Grandmaster guides yet… Honestly? A brilliant mechanic!
[During forging, optionally embed Magic Crystals for enchantment. Crystal quality affects final weapon attributes.]
Vague as ever. Newbies might recklessly dump crystals and go bankrupt.
Online games *love* preying on dreamy, luckless newcomers!
…So I dumped *every* scattered Magic Crystal I’d collected onto the blank and began hammering—*clang, clang, clang!*
…As if *I’d* be that bankrupt newbie!
Oho ho ho~! The miracle moment is here!
Unlucky gamers—kneel and welcome the luckiest player’s reign!
