"No!!!"

Blood-curdling screams echoed from all directions. I could vaguely grasp his feelings. It was like holding in a shit for miles, finally spotting a toilet, only to face a two-kilometer queue.

After queuing that long, the toilet exploded...

Quite an invigorating experience...

But...

"No need to thank us~" I turned back and blew a casual kiss. "Doing good deeds without seeking fame is basic virtue for Yader Continent citizens! Though the elders fulfilled far fewer promises than expected, we’re not greedy. Absolutely not! So, despite regrets, we chose to pull and take these two Swords. We endure the pain of broken vows and uphold Justice without hesitation... As for the last one, we keep our word too. Our promise: until Divine Progeny reputation credits, we won’t pull that sword with a guilty conscience! Once you transfer the rep, we’ll free you!"

"No!!! Come back!!! I’ll give you other things!!! Come back!!! Don’t walk away!!! One more step, and I’ll kill you!!!"

Hearing this, we sprinted faster.

His roar triggered a violent quake. The pit wall steps behind us crumbled.

"Master! Run!"

We’d climbed one-third of the 120-meter wall—about 40 meters. Falling from here meant certain death by fall damage.

This quest had been perilous throughout. We’d walked a tightrope for rewards. One misstep could waste all efforts and drop every item.

I glanced at my backpack. Sure enough, the Demon-Sealing Urn and that Sword bore notes: [Drops on death before leaving the Sealed Realm].

Another tremor shook us. A fist-sized rock plummeted from above, aimed at Yingning’s head!

"Master, watch out!"

No time to dive. I spun and swung my fan-shaped tails over her head!

Holy... shit...

Then came the most excruciating pain of my life, past or present.

So painful! So painful! So painful! So painful! So painful! So painful! So painful! So painful! So painful! So painful! So painful! So painful! So painful!

The rock slammed one tail. Though deflected, I took the damage... I groaned and screamed, unaware a strand of tail fur drifted down the cliff.

"Fox fur? Fox fur! I’d recognize it even as ashes! You—you’re not an Adventurer! No wonder your true form was hidden! You’re a cunning fox! Damn fox! Aaaah, I’ll kill you!"

The pit’s roar carried unprecedented fury. The entire Sealed Realm shook like a magnitude 10 earthquake. Steps and walls bucked violently, trying to hurl us off!

Worse still, that hit nearly paralyzed me. My tail felt clamped in red-hot iron tongs. My stamina bar and health bar emptied instantly. Pain sapped all strength; each step was agony.

Sweat soaked my brow. To avoid being thrown off, I crawled carefully up the steps.

Yingning saw my state and swept me into a Princess Carry without hesitation.

We’d stayed in combat mode since entering the pit; otherwise, she’d have been dismissed already...

Held gently in her arms again, I felt awkward but too weak to struggle.

"Master, please put me down—"

"Shut up! Stay still!"

I stared dumbfounded at Yingning’s domineering mode, utterly flustered.

"Run?! Damn fox! If you escape today, I’ll never leave this seal!"

The quake intensified. This time, we were helpless.

No advantages, no tools. Against such godlike magic, I had no counter.

I can kill anyone—but this is a game with magic, martial arts, and death rules. Boss HP in the millions; a breath could kill me. I might terrorize players, but before these bosses, I’m still insignificant.

The steps collapsed completely. Yingning and I fell helplessly.

The ground rushed closer. All efforts would be wasted.

A Spirit-Sealing Urn with an intermediate skill, a high-level skill book, a never-heard 60-level job branch [Swordmaster], a Demon Clan Divine Artifact [Moon Eclipse], and two likely Divine Artifact Treasure Swords... Rewards rich enough to drive players mad meant equally deadly risks. Even after unlocking the hidden quest path, dangers still lurked!

But no shattering death came. I thought I heard the pink rapier in my backpack chime joyfully.

"Badiros! Harm them, and you answer to me!" A familiar, heroic female voice boomed from the sky. Instantly, the earth stilled.

"Don’t steal my lines, Muscle Maiden!" A playful, seductive voice snapped back, annoyed.
