I’d promised Yingning to play with her, so I’d push on, even in this strange form. Once the server stabilized, I’d revert my data to my original identity. Unless... accidents happened. But surely nothing would go wrong?

Yingning unexpectedly heard my sigh. She pulled her gaze from her inventory and fixed it on me, scolding lightly: "A special skill is already amazing! Almost like a player! Pets should only have pet accessory slots—you have player accessory and weapon slots too! My god... Super-tier pets are insane! Total BUG material!"

Well, it *was* a BUG—one I’d made. But I didn’t tell her that.

"And a tail-hiding skill! Hide eight tails! Yay! Now you can quest with me!"

That skill wasn’t my tweak—it auto-unlocked at this level. Nine tails were just too bulky for daily tasks.

Seeing Yingning cheer like a kid over this discovery lifted my mood. Even my chest felt lighter. My ears drooped sideways; one tail perked up, swaying happily... Must be system behavior! I’d never unconsciously act cute!
