19 Aurora: Do you understand the value of the top-tier support of the Silver Dragon?

On Saturday morning, Muen got up unusually early.

The reason was simple: to "guard the tower."

She couldn't allow Noa and Helena to be alone together while she was still sleeping.

At the academy, Muen had no control over them, and even if she wanted to, there wasn’t much she could do.

But in this house, every second counted, and Muen made it her mission to keep a watchful eye on her sister.

She could not let that newcomer steal her sister away!

Just the thought of Noa nestled in the arms of that blue-haired girl, chatting and laughing, sent waves of discomfort through Muen from head to toe—or rather, from head to tail tip.

She had to secure her sister’s love, and that started with monopolizing her time by waking up early!

Fueled with determination, Muen flung off her blanket and leapt out of bed.

Coincidentally, she ran into Aurora, who was wearily walking out of the bathroom.

The pink-haired girl had a toothbrush in her mouth, a bit of toothpaste foam at the corner of her lips, and was walking unsteadily. Clearly, she hadn't been awake for long either.

But when Aurora caught sight of Muen, she was mildly surprised.

"You're up this early, second sister? Normally, you will get up two hours from now."

"Anything could happen in those two hours! I have to seize every second!"

With that, Muen swiftly washed up, threw on a little dress, pulled up her white thigh-high socks, did a quick touch-up on her hair, and darted straight for the door.

Aurora poked her head out of the bedroom. "Second sister, where are you heading?"

"Going to find our big sister. Do you know where she went?" Muen asked while putting on her shoes.

"She seemed to have taken Helena to the garden out back for a tour."

Muen froze mid-action. "Damn it... I'm already a step behind!"

Hastily slipping on her shoes, Muen unlocked the door and sprinted full-speed toward the backyard garden.

Aurora blinked her beautiful pink eyes and muttered thoughtfully,

"Hmm... A good day starts with some entertainment. Wait for me, second sister!"

Twenty minutes later, the dragon girls were all gathered in the sacred garden out back.

Leon and Roswitha stood on the bedroom balcony, watching the scene unfold below.

After observing for a while, Leon suddenly spoke.

"I think we should hold off on having a fourth child for now."

Roswitha shot him a look, arms crossed, gaze steady.

"I wasn’t planning on giving you a fourth child anyway. Dream on."

After a pause, seeing Leon make no rebuttal, the queen couldn’t help but ask,

"So... why shouldn't we have a fourth child?"

"You just said you weren’t planning to. Why do you sound so curious now?"

"Can’t I just ask for no reason?" Roswitha retorted matter-of-factly.

Leon chuckled and then gestured toward the girls in the yard below with his chin.

"Look, when we only have three kids, we could evenly distribute our attention to each one, ensuring none of them felt neglected.

But if that number grew to four, it might stretch our energy too thin."

Leaning slightly forward, Leon rested his hands on the railing and exhaled deeply.

"Maybe I'm just not ready to be a father of four. What about you? Are you ready for that?"

Roswitha’s silver eyes flickered as she thought for a moment before shaking her head. "Not yet."

Leon shrugged. "So, my dear wife, make sure every time we’re done, you take proper precautions."

Roswitha shot him a glare, raised her tail, and gave his posterior a swat. "Why don’t you just keep your hands off me instead?"

"By the heavens, between the two of us, who do you think makes the move more often?! Who pounces on whom?!"

"You. It’s you. Definitely you."

She wasn’t even interested in discussing it rationally at this point.

Leon rolled his eyes, deciding it wasn’t worth arguing over.

"Why aren’t you saying anything? Have I left you speechless?" Roswitha asked, feeling quite triumphant.

Back in the day, she enjoyed the occasional debate with Leon to sort out right from wrong.

But as she became more comfortable with him, she discovered that being unreasonable got her better results.

It not only exasperated Leon but also left him at a loss for words.

As Roswitha basked in her little victory, she suddenly heard Leon remarked,

"You’re starting to remind me of my master’s wife."

Roswitha froze. "What... do you mean?"

"She always spoke to my master like this. No holding back. When she wanted to be coquettish, she was. When she wanted to be unreasonable, she was.”

Leon slowly turned to look at her. "If that’s hard to grasp, let me put it another way: You’re starting to act like a proper wife—mmph!"

Roswitha covered his mouth with her hands before he could finish.

"If you keep spouting such nonsense, I’ll have to fulfill the true duties of a wife."

"What duties?"

"Domestic violence."

"I'm so scared."

The couple bantered lightheartedly. Soon, Leon pointed toward the yard.

"Look, they seem to be starting a game."

Roswitha turned her gaze to the yard as well.

The four girls stood up, and Muen took an eye mask from the maid.

"Let’s play blindfold game," Muen suggested.

"Alright."

Noa, of course, had no objections. Whatever Muen wanted to play, Noa would join in—after all, doting on her little sister was what big sister do.

"Sure, no problem."

Aurora wasn't about to pass up on a chance for some amusement. Blindfold game was one of Muen’s strong suits—she was curious to see what tactics Muen might use this time to "assert dominance.”

"Alright, I'll follow your lead."

Helena, being the guest, naturally went along with their idea.

The girls played rock-paper-scissors to decide who would be "the ghost."

In the end, Noa lost, so she would be the ghost for the first round.

Muen tied the blindfold over her sister’s eyes and stepped aside.

Aurora and Helena also moved a little farther away.

"Are you ready? Here I come."

Noa raised her arms and cautiously began feeling her way forward.

Blindfold game didn’t really involve much skill—it relied 9% on hearing, and...

91% on luck.

Even so, it remained a beloved game among children everywhere.

For this round, Noa’s luck wasn’t bad; she was steadily getting closer to Muen.

As Noa neared, Muen’s heart thumped with excitement.

See that?! Even blindfolded, my sister senses me first!

Don’t underestimate the bond between me and my sister!

Noa approached closer, and a smile crept onto Muen's lips as she braced herself to be caught in her sister’s embrace.

Come on, Sis, don’t hesitate! Seize me! Hug me!

But just as Noa was about to grab Muen, she suddenly veered.

Muen froze, her bright eyes blinking in astonishment.

"Big sister, I’m right here! Just one more step forward!" she screamed internally.

Unfortunately, Noa and Muen didn’t share the kind of mental telepathy their parents apparently had.

She continued turning, slowly making her way toward Helena instead.

Seeing this, Muen panicked.

If Noa kept going in that direction, she was definitely going to hug Helena!

No.

No, no, no.

The first hug from my sister today has to be mine!

Muen’s brain, for once, began working furiously. Think, Muen, think! Find a way to keep your sister with you!

As Helena watched Noa inch closer, she knew, according to the rules of the game, she had to avoid being caught if possible.

She backed away slowly, trying not to make any noise or draw attention.

But Noa kept getting closer.

After stepping back a few more paces, Helena's back suddenly pressed against the trunk of a tree.

No room to retreat.

And Noa was now within arm’s reach.

Helena smiled slightly, thinking, “Well, I guess I’m caught.”

"Crack!—"

But just as Noa was about to catch Helena, a sharp sound of a branch snapping echoed from nearby.

Noa’s sensitive ears immediately picked up on that, and she turned, heading quickly in the direction of the noise.

The culprit behind the snapping branch? None other than Muen.

Naturally, Noa successfully tagged her sister, pulling her tightly into a warm embrace before removing her blindfold.

"I can’t believe you caught me first, Sis! How awful!"

Though her words grumbled, her heart was singing with joy.

Noa removed the blindfold and affectionately pinched her sister’s nose. "You’re the one who stepped on a branch by accident."

"Uh..."

Muen honestly wasn’t sure how that branch had ended up underfoot earlier.

But who cared? As long as she got to be hugged by her sister, she’d step on steel bars without hesitation!

"You’re amazing as always, Sis~"

Muen nestled into Noa’s arms, nuzzling her cheek against her sister’s, her little tail swaying back and forth adorably.

Over to the side, Aurora glanced down at the handful of branches she was secretly holding.

She then quietly tucked them behind her back.

"Second sister, remember, someone’s always got your back from the shadows!"
