“Darling.”

“I didn’t know you could play the ocarina.”

A blood-red Porsche 718 raced down a deserted highway.

Merka sat in the driver’s seat, wearing oversized sunglasses that covered half his face. He’d changed into a simple, loose white shirt and blue capri pants.

Compared to the oppressive black robes he’d worn in the Smokeless Zone, he looked much more lively.

Turing had worked her magic on his soft, tousled black hair, giving it a simple braid. It hung down like violets spilling over a flowerbed, messy yet carefully arranged.

Merka could barely keep the corners of his mouth from turning up.

After the wedding, Turing suggested they go on a honeymoon. He hadn’t slept a wink last night, and his whole body was buzzing with adrenaline.

If Turing hadn’t been sitting in the passenger seat, he might’ve floated right up into the sky with his hands still on the wheel.

“I only learned yesterday afternoon.”

“I was going to surprise you… but you don’t seem surprised at all?”

Turing sat in the Porsche’s passenger seat, wearing a blue dress with a short hem—a style popular among foreign girls that she’d never tried before.

A pale red jacket rested over her shoulders, and a silver chain bearing the name of Acadia cigars hung around her neck. She looked every bit the daughter of a nouveau-riche family.

Turing had spent her whole life being elegant, and she’d never tried any of this before. It all felt especially fresh.

Turing lowered the ocarina from her lips, picked up the Starbucks coffee in the car, and took a satisfied sip.

How could there be Starbucks in 1970?

Haha, they even had maglev trains in 1970!

In this twentieth century, where the gods had fallen and the immortals had closed their eyes, there was nothing you couldn’t do if you could think of it.

“Heh… It’s not that I’m not surprised. It’s just…”

“You’ve already shown me so many miracles.”

“Now I feel like no matter how outrageous an ability is, it seems perfectly reasonable when you’re the one with it.”

Merka glanced at Turing as she took a dainty, adorable sip. His Adam’s apple bobbed slightly before he spoke.

“Turing, I’m thirsty too.”

“Sure.”

Turing didn’t say anything else. She held a mouthful of sweet coffee, turned toward Merka, grabbed him by the collar, and passed it into his mouth, lips to lips.

Merka’s face flushed slightly, and his hand loosened on the steering wheel for a moment.

Luckily, the car only veered a little, and nothing happened.

“Hey, hey, I’m driving… If you suddenly do something like that, I’m gonna crash.”

The car swerved sharply. Turing shrieked with delight like a little kid.

“Woohoo!”

“So what if we crash~~? We can just get another car at the dealership!”

Turing threw both hands in the air, waving them around as she cheered over the car’s thrilling fishtail.

“Oh… right.”

“What made you decide to go to Norway?”

“I thought you weren’t really interested in foreign countries.”

Merka spotted a roadside sign showing how far they were from Norway. Something suddenly occurred to him, and he asked Turing.

He watched Turing acting like a little girl, and for some reason, he felt much more at ease.

He knew Turing had missed out on many of the things other children experienced growing up. So whenever he saw her act like a child, it brought him a strange sense of comfort.

“You’ll find out when we get there.”

“I’ve got everything planned.”

Turing admired the scenery outside the window and gave Merka a mysterious smile.
