"I understand, thank you for the reminder."
"I will protect Turing."
Merka squinted his eyes, looking at the distant black tower, and nodded solemnly towards the dark shadow.
"Wait, elder."
"I have a question."
Turing, standing beside Merka, gazed in the direction of the black tower and addressed the dark shadow.
She also released her own magical vision, seeing the trajectory of magical fluctuations in Merka's eyes.
"I noticed these magical fluctuations, obviously tracking to the top of that black tower, right?"
"Doesn't this mean that we don't need to climb the tower, but simply fly to the top, break a path from the top, and directly find the backdrop?"
"Although I may not be at my peak now... but I still have the confidence to break through one or two walls."
Turing turned her face, brushed aside her side fringe emitting a pink halo, glanced at the dark shadow from the corner of her eye, and continued.
"What do you think?"
"..."
With hands on hips, the dark shadow remained silent, seemingly pondering, standing at the top of the reef, gazing into the distance slightly subdued for a moment.
"It seems we can do that."
"But I feel there might still be some issues..."
"Why don't you just obediently climb up from the bottom of the tower?"
Turing looked out at the sea, slightly raising an eyebrow at the words of the dark shadow.
Her sapphire-like eyes shimmered slightly under the moonlight, as if reflecting the moonlight on the sea surface.
She turned to look at the dark shadow, the corner of her mouth curving into a charming arc – she seemed to be smiling, yet also seemed to be admiring an unseen artwork with interest, pondering like a mischievous tease.
Turing's scrutiny caused alarm bells to ring in the dark shadow's mind.
"Mr. Deity."
"Just to confirm, you were the one who helped me repair the memories related to Gabriel inside the aside machinery, right?"
"...After confirming with Merka, I understood."
"You said you could manifest near any mechanical body created by Kagtuas, so when Gabriel helped me restore my memories, you appeared in my mind and helped me out."
"But back then, your attitude towards me was completely different from now."
Upon hearing Turing's openly hostile tone, the dark shadow instinctively took a step back in fear.
The black lines on its body gradually stiffened, as if a rough cat's fur had lost its luster.
Turing's lovely bangs fell gently like fireflies, lightly covering her jade-like face.
Moonlight shone on the side of her face, indicating a hint of venomous coldness.
"Merka..."
The dark shadow turned to Merka, calling softly, seeking Merka's help.
"Cough, Turing, please don't say that."
"Though aside has indeed done many things that I found hard to accept, I believe it genuinely wants to help us..."
Turing closed her eyes. With a proud tilt of her fair chin and a hint of annoyance between her brows.
She slowly raised her hand, fingers together, palm facing Merka, signaling Merka to stop talking.
"My dear... Have you been too trusting towards this... Mr. Deity?"
Without looking at Merka, Turing, as if applying pressure, took three steady steps towards the dark shadow.
"There is a saying..."
"Never thank hardship."
"Although the result turned out well..."
"But in my memory, when you helped restore my memories, you hindered me more than you helped me."
"All your help came after witnessing my courage, or more accurately, recognizing my abilities."
Turing stroked her chin with one hand as she spoke.
"Please forgive my blunt words."
"I just have some doubts..."
"In the beginning, did you think that killing me would be a better choice to stop Oedipus's grand plan?"
"How absurd... If this were true, based on my current judgment, you were merely assessing our chances against Oedipus and deciding whether to act against me."
"Now, our chances against Mother have once again diminished."
"You found Merka, rescued me from Erisburg, just to make it convenient to kill me."
Isn't that right?"
"Otherwise, according to your previous words, you could travel between all the machines you created, including those tidal power generators."
"You must have noticed that Oedipus brought the backdrop (soul) here."
"You said before... Merka could surely ascend this tower and obtain the backdrop (soul)."
"But instead of telling him directly, you let him find me first, and then informed him about the smoke-free zone..."
"The purpose is clear, to make me follow Merka into this tower, isn't it?"
"You, wish, for, me, to, die, in, the, tower."
Turing enunciated each word, her eyes radiating a compelling spark.
