Eve thought about it

how romantic the scene must have been

on the day she met Adam.

On that day in that place,

there must have been azure skies, blue oceans, and green islands.

Maybe even colorful coral, cute fish and crabs, and golden sandy beaches.

But she never expected

roaring monsters, mountainous tentacles, and dark black blood like the Dead Sea.

"I never thought, Adam."

"That you would believe my lies so easily."

"But it can't be helped, they're still just a bunch of kids."

"A simple signal of victory was enough to lure so many Hannibal's men into the trap."

"Now they're all captured by me!"

The man's strong arms tightly hooked around Hannibal's neck, spoke vividly.

"But I don't understand! Why is there a girl in all this?!"

At this moment, the man and Adam were standing in the square of a small island. The former's powerful arm was like an iron clamp hooked around Adam's neck, as if at any moment, if he did something beyond his plan, his neck would be twisted off.

Eve stood in front of the two men, her pale cheeks covered in black, resembling blood-stained oil.

She held a flamethrower as massive as a towering pillar, fiercely aimed at the people in front, her eyes fixed on the man's every move without blinking.

"Girl, this is not right."

"What are you doing here as part of the logistics team?"

Eve seemed to ignore the man's words, tears streaming down her face, a fierce expression facing the man as if he were the enemy who killed her father.

The man who had captured many other Hannibal soldiers had now been through several battles and was exhausted.

The once carefree smile on his face was gradually disappearing.

"I want you dead."

"I want you dead!"

Eve let out a savage roar like a wild beast, shaking the sky with her rage.

"Hey! Hey!"

"Wait, listen to me."

Watching Eve's flamethrower heating up, rotating, and emitting a terrifying roar, the man was scared.

"Okay, okay."

"I can let the two of you go, okay, you two can be free deserters."

"I don't care about you anymore."

"You're both doomed anyway, so it doesn't matter."

The man tightly held Adam, fearing that the woman in front of him would go crazy and blast the entire island into the sky.

"R… really?"

Hearing this, Eve suddenly deflated, her courage to die with them diminishing significantly.

"Of course… of course, I even prepared a boat for you."

"Come here, a little closer, I have the key here."

Eve foolishly looked at the key the man handed her, even unconsciously relaxing her grip on the flamethrower in her hand.

"…Mm, mm!"

Adam in the man's arms heard this and began to struggle frantically. He seemed to hear a command, frantically activating his Starlight. A storm seemed to slowly sweep in on the darkening sky overhead.

"Hey... you."

The man was shocked by the sudden vision, involuntarily releasing the key in his hand, letting it get swept up into the tornado leading to the sky.

A flash of fierce determination crossed Adam's eyes, his emerald glow filling every inch of his skin.

"Eve!"

Wrapped in several cyclones, Adam finally broke free from the man's restraint, shouting at Eve.

Eve was almost moved to tears, hearing Adam call out to her with such emotion for the first time.

"Adam..."

"Adam..."

"Adam!"

With all her might, screaming as if to squeeze out all her emotions, Eve responded to Adam.

But Adam seemed to transform into a wind spirit, drifting away with the wind.

The furious howling wind roared into the sky, turning into a soft swaddle beside Eve, gently lifting her.

In the eye of the storm, Eve finally caught Adam's outstretched hand.

"Let's go."

Adam's face turned pale, uttering his final words in life, before fainting.

Under the astonished gaze of the man, the two, riding the east wind connecting heaven and earth, turned into auroras and flew towards the west.
