"What do you mean?" Maria propped up her academic robe and sat heavily on the chair next to the hospital bed.

"Enough, Maria."

"I have lost all my magic power now, and have also been freed from my mother's control."

"You have achieved your goals."

"My story should also come to an end."

Turing's cracked lips trembled, as if scarred, as if enduring some kind of pain.

But she no longer cared.

She knew she could no longer be as lovely and beautiful as before.

Maria sighed, twisted her saintly noble eyebrows, and regretfully whispered to Turing.

"Have you heard this saying?"

"A truly suicidal person doesn't care about what people say anymore."

"And someone constantly talking about wanting to die is not really wanting to die, but longing for love."

"Don't be in a hurry to die, maybe you should try living again..."

Knock, knock, knock.

The crisp sound of knocking on the door echoed, as if the lilac-scented voice of a young boy was coming from the other side of the door.

"Turing, can I see you?"

"Still don't want to see me?"

...The lonely ward fell silent for a moment, accompanied by Maria's sigh, and the oppressive atmosphere settled.

"Talk to each other, I will come back next time."

"I have reserved a villa for you on the heart island of the lake beneath this hospital."

"If you have nothing to do, you can go relax there."

"Don't be too sad...there is always a way out in life."

Maria stood up, before leaving, she wanted to reach out and touch Turing's head, which was covered in tentacles.

But the faint phantom in her eyes made her hesitate and her hand stopped.

She had a feeling that every time she saw Turing, she could still recall those days she spent at the research institute.

The animals that turned into angels, the little girls, all gathered together like fairies in a wonderland, beautiful and pure.

She was there too, eating and sleeping with them, living a life full of love every day, and Maria felt happy as if she was one of them.

But it was all a lie.

It was all a performance.

Knock, knock.

The door rang a few more times.

Coming back to reality, Maria shook her head, stood up from the chair, pushed open the door, and walked out.

"Madam Maria...how is Turing?"

As soon as Maria opened the door, she saw Merka with a worried look on his face.

His complexion was not good. He forced himself to look energetic and greeted Maria who had just walked out.

With a large bouquet of bell flowers in his hands, wearing a high-necked sweater and a suit with a top button unbuttoned, Merka's cute doll-like face matched with his mature attire, giving people a bright impression, and a harmonious awe-inspiring feeling.

"Well, not too good."

"Just see for yourself, I have things to take care of."

Maria didn't say much, she simply waved her wide sleeve, brushing past Merka.

"Cough."

Watching Maria leave, Merka couldn't understand why she was starting to feel a bit nervous.

Clearing her throat, Merka decided to knock on the door again and wait until Turing responded personally.

"Merka."

"Just stay outside the door, don't come in."

The sound of someone getting out of bed came, followed by the sound of shuffling sheets. Turing's voice grew closer. After a while, Merka could even feel Turing's warm and sensitive body on the other side of the door.

There was a rustling sound, and it seemed like Turing sat down with his back against the door.

"Xixi."

Merka weakly called Turing by his pseudonym, holding the flowers tightly in her hand.

"Let's break up."

"..."

In an instant, Merka's pupils lost focus.

Unimaginable pain swept over Merka's head, piercing into her scalp.

The white Yanling flowers fell to the ground, shattering into pieces.

"What do you mean, Turing..."

"Can you please open the door?"

"What's going on, let's talk it out!"

Merka was completely distraught, constantly tapping on the stainless steel door, begging for Turing's response.

But no matter how much Merka knocked, there was no response from the other side. All the calls full of love seemed to sink into the sea of sorrow on the other side of the door.

"Is...is there something I did wrong?"

"What are you dissatisfied with, tell me..."

"For your sake, I'm willing to do anything if you ask."

After futilely twisting the door handle, Merka forcefully pushed the door, only to find that it was as if a giant stone was blocking the other side, immovable.

Sighing with disappointment, Merka leaned against the door and sat down.

"Do you still remember when we were at Lachésis before?"

"You said back then, as long as we could escape together."

"You would give up anything."

"Money, power...even if we didn't have those things anymore."

"We could start all over again."

"Isn't that what you used to talk about so proudly?"
