Chapter 151: The Demon and the Battle of Wits

The dim and narrow corridor was like a circle of dark deep wells, with Turing pacing heavily in it, playing hide and seek with the ghostly spirits of the night.

"Here... It's still inside Tartarus."

"What time is it now? How did I come out of the underworld?"

Turing looked through the flickering window mullions, and Tartarus' backyard was intact like a piece of flawless jade.

"I didn't force my way out of the ground."

"But I have already met my sister, what is going on?"

Turing patted her little face and cheered up.

"We don't need to think about these things now. As long as we kill that angel, we will know something."

Turing focused on any movement or sound around, but neglected what was under her feet. Suddenly, she stumbled upon something. Turing quickly took advantage of the situation, rolled to the side, and narrowly avoided a flying axe that brushed past her hair.

Looking down, Turing saw that it was also a huge axe that had been thrown, tripping her, but leaving almost no mark on her armor.

Looking up, Turing saw an angel with a brilliant blue light standing in front of her, holding a long sword taken from a nearby statue of a knight, with its tip aimed at her head.

A group of knight statues stood on one side of the corridor, displaying themselves, each holding a precious weapon.

Turing swallowed her saliva.

But the saliva flowed out along the broken esophagus, causing a burning sensation in Turing's mouth.

Turing saw that the angel had no intention of moving or making any sudden movement.

The angel tapped Turing's body, tightly wrapped in armor, with the back of its sword.

It casually inserted its sword into the ground in front of Turing, and took a thrusting sword from the hand of another knight statue.

"What does this mean? Does it have intelligence?"

Turing used magic to communicate with the angel, "Do you want me to take off my armor and fight you with a sword?"

Taking advantage of the opportunity to speak, Turing secretly healed all her wounds.

The indigo figure nodded, weighing the thrusting sword in its hand, and made a strange gesture towards Turing.

"I can communicate?"

"Now that we can communicate, let's do as it says first and see if we can find out anything about it."

Turing slowly took off her rock mud armor, drew the sword from the ground, and raised it steadily towards the angel, saying, "Listen to me, are you..."

Before Turing could finish her sentence, a bitter and ancient feeling of forgetfulness rushed into her brain like a venomous insect. After a violent tremor in her pupils, Turing finally came to her senses, and the boundless sea of fire had completely swallowed her.

The suffocating and scorching sensation, along with the excruciating pain, was like a silver needle piercing Turing's soul, pouring the breath of annihilation into her body.

"This guy..."

"This is an aside! But when did it ever encounter me?"

"Right, it just used its sword to hit my body just now, damn it!"

"Clearly, it has this kind of intelligence, why does it completely ignore communication and only know how to fight?"

"I will peel off that layer of blue skin from you, grind it into pigment, and paint it on the hair of the circus clown to be laughed at by thousands!"

Just as Turing's flesh was about to turn to ashes, the ancient golden mark protected her skin and endured the terrifying bombardment.

"Volcano mode."

The explosion, like a black cloud, engulfed the entire second floor of Tartarusburg. The towering mushroom cloud rose into the sky, and the opening that penetrated from the first to the fourth floor appeared where Turing stood.

Turing was radiant with golden light, with almost all her clothes, including her undergarments, burned to ashes. However, the golden pattern protected the vital areas.

The azure angel glanced at Turing, who had not been seriously injured, and gradually disappeared into the moonlight once again.

Turing, like a streak of lightning, swiftly dashed in front of the angel, one hand gripping its neck and the other swinging down the mighty knight sword with endless malice.

With a muffled bang, the knight sword struck fiercely on the angel's body. Turing directly shattered the knight sword, and the angel soared out, crashing through countless walls on the second floor.

With her extremely fast gaze, Turing glanced at the angel, who had hardly been harmed.

"No, I can hardly harm it in volcano mode."

Turing's eyes shimmered with a golden light.

[I understand now. Since it can use aside, undoubtedly it should also be able to use dropback.]

[Could it be the enemy who possesses both types of magic as Gabriel mentioned?]

[But how did it achieve invisibility?]

Turing furrowed her brow suddenly and clicked her tongue.

[I actually forgot about something so important.]

[The target that dropback can disguise is not limited to humans.]

[It can directly disguise itself as moonlight or air.]

[With the angel's almost infinite magical power, there is nothing it can't do.]

Turing took a deep breath and entered the room where the angel had been knocked back.

The room was filled with smoke and dust, with shattered debris everywhere.

"Not good, I lost track of it instead."

"At this rate, when volcano mode ends, it is highly likely that I won't be able to land my final blow on it."

[In my memory, I killed it once with Grand Flame Spiral.]

[As long as my magic can hit it, I can kill it again.]

Turing moved between the broken rooms, looking at the billowing smoke-filled ruins, feeling increasingly anxious.

An annoying frustration gradually accumulated in Turing's heart.

"Could it really have such intelligence?"

"Is it waiting for my volcano mode to end before coming out?"

Turing began to recklessly destroy the surrounding buildings. Under her punches and kicks, countless bricks and stones were sent flying like projectiles, heading toward various corners of the space.

[If I hit it, dropback will be lifted. Because rocks cannot hit the air and deviate, modifying this cognition requires a lot of magical power.]

With a sudden pause in his movements, Turing's leg kick seemed to be blocked by something. Turing fiercely swung a punch in the direction of that thing, and a deep blue figure manifested in the moonlight as it grazed his fist wind.

Delighted, Turing immediately embraced the angel, clasping their hands together and restraining the angel's left limb, intending to hold onto it until the volcano mode ended.

"I won't let go no matter what you say. Trying to use aside won't work either. Deleting memories won't affect me holding onto you," Turing declared.

"As long as I wait until the volcano mode ends and it can't kill me, then I have won," Turing confidently stated.

The angel seemed panicked, jumping and crashing all around with Turing, toppling numerous buildings and structures. However, regardless of the impact Turing endured on the angel, they showed no intention of letting go.

Just as Turing thought victory was within their grasp, their gaze shifted to the angel's cheek and discovered a faint deadly smile on its expressionless face.

In the moment of Turing's astonishment, the angel rammed through another wall and entered a spacious room, with a massive machinery standing in the center.

"This is...Aside? It brought this thing up from downstairs?" Turing wondered. The angel rushed towards the cold iron bed in the center of the Aside mechanical center, causing Turing to finally panic.

"It can use aside, and it must be better at operating this machine than I am!"

"What are you going to do?! No..."

As the thunder rolled, a calm icy barrier in Turing's mind finally greeted the first breeze of spring.

With the sound of a first chirp from a nightingale.

As the ice and snow in Turing's mind melted away, they lost consciousness.
