This egg looks strangely familiar.

Wang Xiaole was thinking:

If this newly appeared door does not lead to the outside world, where would the real exit be?

The great demon did not explicitly say that his trials were meaningless.

From this, one could infer that passing through the four levels was undoubtedly a prerequisite for escaping.

After satisfying this condition, what else needed to be done?

After pondering for a while, Wang Xiaole suddenly remembered:

There was one thing that he had done when he first entered the maze, but had not done since.

Exploration!

When he first entered the maze, Wang Xiaole had searched everywhere for hidden passages until the idea of challenging the levels popped into his mind, at which point he abandoned the thought of exploring.

Since then, after each new level, he only searched for a new path that had appeared in the maze, without paying attention to anything else.

If that flash of thought was correct, then the only thing he had to do now was...

His gaze scanned the walls of the maze, observing for a considerable amount of time before finally making another discovery.

He noticed that on one of the walls, there were some additional golden patterns compared to before.

Wang Xiaole seemed quite interested in these patterns, scanning the multitude of patterns as if searching for something, meticulously comparing them with the image in his mind.

Soon, he found what he was looking for, immediately channeling the power within him and rapidly pressing a few spots on the wall.

Subsequently, he saw the patterns on the wall gradually disappear, along with the passage he had found earlier; in their place, the middle of the patterns he had pressed revealed an archway.

"It seems luck is on my side…"

Wang Xiaole finally understood:

The real exit leading to the outside world would only appear after passing the four levels!

And this archway did not appear on its own; the trapped individual must abandon the so-called "exit" in front of them and search for another in order to discover it!

"What trapped me were compatriots, but it was outsiders who helped me escape, interesting!"

Perhaps from this moment on, Wang Xiaole's overall impression of the demon race underwent a fundamental change.

Inside the archway was another passage of the maze, but the situation of this passage differed from the ones he had encountered before.

All the previous paths Wang Xiaole had taken, regardless of the shape of the walls or external patterns, at least resembled "paths walked by people".

But the passage revealed within the archway now was a "giant staircase" descending downwards.

Referred to as the "giant staircase" due to its exceptionally large steps; roughly estimated, it would require a giant at least thirty meters tall to walk normally on the steps.

Such massive steps, relative to the size of humans, were akin to steep little hills.

However, the giant staircase was not the most startling aspect of the passage; what truly amazed him was the sight beyond the staircase – a void, a void filled with endless starlight.

Approaching the edge of the void, Wang Xiaole vigorously tossed a small pebble he had held in his hand towards the empty space adjacent to the staircase.

The pebble arched through the air, flying unimpeded after passing over the edge of the staircase; it did not encounter any obstacles, defying gravity as it did not just fall down directly.

As if devoid of weight, propelled by the residual force, the pebble traveled deep into the starry sky, disappearing from his sight.

"Poor old man, even getting tormented in a different world..."

After silently mourning the great physicist in his heart, Wang Xiaole surveyed his surroundings and noticed:

The land in this area was fragmented, with roughly seventy or more relatively significant landmasses, along with thousands, even tens of thousands of smaller stones that could serve as stepping stones.

All the stones were centered around the landmass connected to the teleportation array, floating and moving in a disorderly trajectory.

The piece of land he was currently standing on was at the outermost periphery of the region.

There were no bizarre creatures or particularly conspicuous traps around the perimeter; Wang Xiaole felt that if he used a small-scale teleportation spell, he could directly move onto the central piece of land.

However, he immediately realized:

Due to the influence of the unknown power surrounding him, casting the teleportation spell would result in chaotic movement;

Jumping to nearby land would have been acceptable;

But if he ended up in a precarious spot, falling down was inevitable.

After much deliberation, he decided to cast an enhancement spell honestly, strengthening his leg muscles for jumping;

Then, he used each landmass as a stepping stone to gradually approach the central land.

After tens of seconds, he arrived at the central land and stood in front of the teleportation array.

From a morphological standpoint, teleportation arrays could be divided into two types:

Solid teleportation arrays and illusory teleportation arrays.

For long-lasting teleportation without continuously exhausting the creator's power, constructing a solid teleportation array was by far the best option.

Naturally, nothing is without its flaws, and solid teleportation arrays also had noticeable disadvantages;

These included the inability to be carried around and being prone to damage.

Similar to the broken land, the teleportation array here was in a "semi-broken" state.

The condition of the two breaks differed upon closer examination.

The fragmentation of the land appeared natural, while the damage to the teleportation array showed clear signs of deliberate destruction;

It was evident that someone intended to leave the teleportation array in this state, and guessing that person's identity was not difficult.

Given the current state of disrepair of the teleportation array, it was clear that he could not return to the real world without repairing it himself.

Scanning the surrounding landmasses, he searched for suitable materials to repair the array.

Some landmasses bore the remnants of buildings, although most had turned into rubble, a few foundation stones were salvageable for secondary use.

Standing in front of a selected foundation stone, he slowly channeled magic within him.

As one of his legs was covered by a black light, he stomped the ground near the foundation stone, causing the stone to soar into the air.

Subsequently, he leaped into the air and, as if moving a grinding stone, inserted his hands into the bottom of the chosen stone, hoisted it up;

He then forcefully leaped back to the original landmass.

With a muffled thud upon landing, Wang Xiaole's feet came down on the somewhat sizable land fragment;

The powerful force generated by his descent caused the ground to tremble slightly, and the force wave produced made him pause.

Initially believing that the various floating land fragments in this realm were entirely independent, with no connection between them, each operating on different trajectories, he inadvertently discovered the existence of an imperceptible link between all the land fragments from the wave he had created.

The force wave generated by his landing did not spread outward from the land beneath his feet like ripples on water;

Instead, at the moment the wave formed, it traversed through the invisible connections between land fragments of different sizes, transmitting continuously to other fragments;

Until the power gradually faded and disappeared entirely.

It was not so much the phenomenon itself that surprised him but rather the realization that broke his previous assumptions.

The seemingly chaotic movements of the land fragments were actually following a sort of order under specific rules;

This order, however, differed significantly from the usual concept of order.

Refocusing, Wang Xiaole placed the building foundation stone on the ground and generated a new force wave by stomping the ground with force;

Subsequently, he captured the fleeting connections between the fragments;

Mentally deducing the mysteries within this disorderly connection, he soon came to a familiar sensation, blurting out:

"What an unexpected gain!"

Following the convoluted route he had mentally planned, he retraced his steps back.

Once he reached the outer region, he compared his position to where he had been standing earlier and found his unexpected gain not too far.

For those in a rush to escape, they probably wouldn't care much, simply repairing the teleportation array and leaving.

But Wang Xiaole was the type of person who felt like he would be at a loss if he didn't gain something; even at the moment of escape, he would feel like he had missed out.

It was this mindset that led him to spend some additional time, resulting in a new acquisition.

He would realize later on:

Conquering tens of thousands of troops from enemy nations, capturing commanding generals – compared to the rewards he gained at that moment, they were insignificant.

The acquisition was a tangible object in the shape of an oval, smooth to the touch;

It looked like an egg from afar and up close, and in fact – it was indeed a slightly larger-than-average golden egg!

Acquiring it had not been easy for Wang Xiaole.

To prevent the precious item from any damage, he had to excavate it with his hands.
