As the army of the "New Lord of the Vampire" traveled a long distance and finally arrived at the border of the Fifth Clan territory, the first sight Wang Yafu saw was a large group of bloodline brethren dressed in tattered clothes, leaning on crutches, resembling beggars.

Alice, sitting on top of Wang Yafu's head, upon seeing this scene that should not appear on the battlefield, subconsciously thought:

"Are they refugees fleeing from their homeland, attracted by my noble demeanor, hence coming to seek refuge with us?"

Such thoughts could only be produced by someone extremely narcissistic.

What was different this time was that among the troops in the rear, there were many bloodlines echoing Alice's words.

These bloodlines were her "personal guards," both male and female, colloquially understood as fans who blindly followed their idol.

The army led by Dracula could mainly be divided into two factions - besides the "personal guards," there was also the "support group" supporting Wang Yafu.

These two factions naturally formed, and the parties involved had no intention of organizing, relying entirely on the fans' self-awareness.

Although they belonged to different groups and had certain differences in positions, the one thing they had in common was unconditional support for their idols. And the reason the bloodlines were so devoted could be summed up in four words: cute! Cute! Super cute!!

In an era when the concept of cuteness influenced all races across the continent to varying degrees, the three elements of cuteness, loveliness, and beautiful girls were undoubtedly the most captivating.

It was precisely because these two cute girls existed in the army that only the commander, Dracula, could mobilize a larger force than ever before.

Speaking of which, the latter should truly thank the two former.

Getting back to the main point:

When a group of beggar-like troops appeared on the opposite side, the first thing Dracula did was to look for familiar faces nearby.

Dracula soon found a familiar face standing in the middle of the group of "beggars," holding a particularly sturdy stick in his hand; and beside him was a flag fluttering in the wind.

The head of the beggars' gang, alive and kicking?

That's how Wang Yafu viewed that bloodline, naturally her guess was incorrect.

In this day and age, no gang leader would carry a big flag when traveling; that would be too ostentatious.

It was up to Dracula to reveal the identity of that bloodline:

"Number Five, it's been a few years since we last met, and you're still living so frugally."

Indeed, the middle-aged man holding what looked like a dog-beating stick was the head of the Fifth Clan; in fact, the many "beggars" around him were his regular soldiers.

The reason the authentic soldiers' equipment and attire looked worse than irregular mercenaries was simply that Number Five was too stingy to even provide armor and clothes for his soldiers; so the soldiers had no choice but to wear clothes not much younger than themselves and use sticks made from trees as weapons; as for the sticks that looked somewhat like crutches, and other similar details, it was not worth examining too closely, just consider them as large-scale deadly weapons.

Not to mention the treatment given to subordinates; just by looking at Number Five's current attire, one could tell how ruthless he was to himself; even his weapon was just a slightly thicker big stick compared to what common soldiers used.

Since he was determined to show incompetence on the battlefield, it was easy to imagine that Number Five would not care too much about certain things outside of that realm.

But alas, he did!

In fact, besides being stingy, Number Five also had a troublesome character that valued his reputation highly.

Right now, with a smile on Dracula's face, Number Five's forehead veins bulged, and he shouted angrily, red-faced:

"You little brat, remember the names of other clan heads properly, will you die if you do?!"

"I will, I'll definitely be troubled by it!"

While Dracula was joking around, Wang Yafu walked up with a concerned look, carefully examining the ragged Number Five, and asked kindly and sympathetically:

"Uncle, is your family very poor? Do you need me to buy you some new clothes?"

The atmosphere on the battlefield suddenly became tense, more difficult to thaw than in the middle of a winter freeze, despite Wang Yafu not intending to; her act of showing care for the enemy on the spot undoubtedly touched Number Five's sensitive heart, leading him to emphasize vehemently:

"Don't be arrogant, kid! I'm not poor to the point of not having decent clothes, I just don't want to spend money on that kind of thing."

The roar of Number Five reached Wang Yafu's ears but did not reach her heart; the young girl focused all her attention on conversing with the opposite side, caring for the unfortunate people in front of her.

Wang Yafu told the soldiers around Number Five:

"And also, if any of you have difficulties at home, don't hesitate to come to Big Sister for help; even if Big Sister can't help you, I will find a way!"

As if at the moment her words fell, a blinding light that almost blinded the naked eye shot out from Wang Yafu's body; currently, Wang Yafu seemed to have a sun shining on her head, emitting a sacred aura that was hard to approach, looking like, like:

"An angel descended to earth!"

The soldiers on Number Five's side were deeply moved; when their vision turned white, they instinctively moved closer to Wang Yafu's side.

"Angel my foot! You idiots, don't forget your identity as bloodlines; even if it were a real angel, how could you be moved by the minions of the heavenly realm? Get back here!"

This stern shout was very timely; had it been a few seconds later, two-thirds of the soldiers, who had suffered from Number Five's stinginess for years, would have run away.

At the critical moment, Number Five managed to avoid the collapse of the army, and his heart gradually lifted.

He thought:

Is this the successor foretold by the ancestors? With just a few soothing words, I nearly made my army surrender...

No, it's too dangerous to blindly confront an opponent with unknown details; rather than taking that risk, it's better to just--

In the blink of an eye, Number Five bounced up, brandishing a large stick towards Dracula, intending to deal with her first.

Dracula, also a quick-witted strong individual, had already regained her composure; she swiftly shifted her weight forward as she turned, summoning the "Bloodline" being used as a weapon in her hand just moments later.

With a slight flick of her right shoulder, the slender bloodline that rose with the lift of her delicate fingers curved upwards, pierced through the shimmering light she generated, heading straight for Number Five's heart.

Number Five had clearly not anticipated Dracula seeing through his intentions in just a single glance.

But a strong opponent was still a strong opponent; though slightly flustered, Number Five's excellent reflexes enabled him to react immediately. He planted one foot on the ground, forming a curved trajectory as he leaned backward, gliding like a swallow, flying back at an angle.

Simultaneously, Number Five reached into his pocket with his left hand, taking out a few stones and using them as hidden weapons; despite not being willing to spend money on iron-made weapons due to his stinginess, the stones released immediately carried potent magic within, greatly enhancing their own lethality.

At this moment, if Dracula had left her original position and chosen to dodge in a specific direction, she would undoubtedly have been struck by the stick following the stones closely behind.

Dracula, seizing this realization, turned her left hand into claws, swiftly striking at the stones approaching her with force, deflecting all the "weapons"; she then whipped the bloodline she had raised, zipping through the empty space before her, locking onto Number Five who was thrown backward.

To that, Number Five barely managed to dodge the vital hit.

Soon, he saw the bloodline's two ends, seeming to have eyes at that moment, swiftly spiraling back, entwining around his right arm.

The trajectory of the bloodline's attack seemed to intend to dismantle his right hand.

In no time, Number Five's right hand completely vanished, along with his disappearing figure; the two parted segments of the bloodline clanged together, interlocking instantly.

Not long after, the vanished Number Five reappeared, holding a lantern in his left hand.

The flickering faint light, visible even in broad daylight, seemed exceptionally eerie.

In just that instant, Dracula inadvertently glanced at the light and found her own eyes freezing within her sockets, seemingly transfixed in place.

Only Dracula's consciousness knew what was happening now.

She saw rare treasures emanating bright light in all directions around her, filling her vision entirely.

But to Wang Yafu, there were no expensive treasures nearby, it was merely an illusion, and that was the terror of the lantern.

One of the "Thirteen Bloodline Artifacts," the "Ghost Lantern," possessed the ability to make its target forever immersed in hallucinations through the light it emitted, creating illusory delusions.

Engaged in close combat with Dracula, Number Five did not believe he had the ability to defeat her but intended to use the "Artifact" to determine the outcome at a crucial moment, just as he had done before.

His scheme succeeded, and Number Five felt a surge of satisfaction:

"You brat, you'll be lost in this void of illusion until you die of exhaustion! Haha, hahahaha..."

With a bang and a clatter! In the space of a single breath, a small fan swiftly flew in and fiercely hit the "Ghost Lantern"; after a loud noise, the lantern was overturned, followed by a crash as it hit the ground.

At this point, its eyes bulging outward, the once grinning Number Five could no longer muster a smile, but a voice from a certain figurine rang out:

"Keep the fire away from me; I hate fire the most in my current form!"
