A person who combines both good and evil qualities.

Nobody understands Charley better than Charley herself:

Even if she's angry, even if she shows her anger, it doesn't have any positive effect, rather it destroys the image of herself in the other person's mind.

With this thought in mind, instead of turning down, Charley's mouth curves upwards, revealing a smile;

Now she looks like her happy self heading out the door.

But not showing it doesn't mean Charley has forgotten about it.

She couldn't forget, because she has always been one to bear grudges, and if she doesn't do something on the spot, then it wouldn't be her.

The focus of revenge is on that freshly prepared fish.

From before to now, Charley hasn't been very fond of eating fish, but at this moment, her beautiful eyes didn't look away.

Before picking up her chopsticks, she had already guessed:

This fish wasn't left for me by Xiaole, as he doesn't have the habit of eating fish for breakfast, so...

So, this fish that was swimming around not long ago must be meant for Bai.

Unable to target the rival at the moment, she will start by clashing with what the rival likes to eat.

This unfortunate fish didn't know:

Even after it met its end, it would still be subjected to cruel treatment;

When Charley picked up her chopsticks, she applied great force, pressing the point onto its belly, viciously further dismembering it.

Soon, this fish devoid of any sensation was cut into seventeen or eighteen pieces, then Charley fed them into her mouth piece by piece.

The fragrance of the fish didn't waft inside the wardrobe, but Wang Xiaole stood in front of the wardrobe and caught a whiff.

As the one who prepared this sumptuous breakfast, Wang Xiaole felt it necessary to say to the girl who sneaked around:

"This fish isn't for you."

I know! Even if it was made for me, I might not have eaten it.

In Charley's mind, this sentence flashed by.

The scent might not reach the wardrobe, but the voice sure could.

Initially feeling down, Bai couldn't stay huddled in the wardrobe any longer, as the situation suddenly became urgent.

Bai's desire to eat that fish was definitely not swayed by the "big brother's" intentions, but simply because she didn't want to waste food.

It needs to be emphasized:

In Bai's eyes, everything outside of fish cannot be considered food.

The intermittent sounds of chewing made Bai quell the last trace of doubt in her heart;

So, in the next moment, Wang Xiaole was amazed to find:

The little girl who couldn't be coaxed out before was now urgently opening the cabinet door and running to the table all because of a fish that had been eaten halfway.

The fleeting glint of the dagger passed, not waiting for Charley to put down the chopsticks or lift them up again, cleaving it in half.

Bai's principle was not to waste food, not wood...

The chopsticks were cut in half, with the fish meat clamped on them predictably falling down, ending up in a small mouth.

Gurgle!

Fish is the most delicious thing in the world—inner thoughts of a certain loli assassin.

"I never expected that my desired outcome would be achieved because of your actions; Charley, thank you."

This was the first genuine thank you from Wang Xiaole to Charley, but the reason for gratitude was too complex, leaving Charley unable to smile even a bit.

While White was finishing off the last bit of fish, the street suddenly became noisy, far livelier than the day before.

As a ranger, Wang Xiaole's intuition prompted him to leave the room and swiftly head outside.

He came out because he had a feeling inside that he needed to do so.

However, he did not plan to stay outside for long. At least before White finished eating and returned to the cabinet, he wanted to intercept the young girl first.

Upon arriving on the street, he pushed through the few people lingering on the outskirts with his hands and walked into the heart of the crowd. Soon to follow was the persistent young woman.

After walking a little further, Wang Xiaole saw a grand procession passing through ahead of him.

There were powerful knights lined up in the procession, wielding weapons while mounted on tall warhorses, forming a neat and impressive column that thundered through the streets.

Following closely behind the running horses were dozens of imposing attendants, walking step by step.

In the midst of the attendants were two individuals being protected; the man on the left was clad in armor, exuding the aura of a military commander, while the man on the right, appearing to be around middle age, was dressed in luxurious silk, displaying a natural aristocratic air in his speech and actions.

The man on the left was known to the locals all too well - he was the lord who held the survival rights of tens of thousands of people in the town.

This town was located at a critical point in the east-west continent, and due to its important geographical location, no empire or kingdom could openly occupy it.

More than a decade ago, the lord, then a bandit, took advantage of his lack of background to lead his followers and captured the town.

Given the premise that no other foreign powers could intervene here, over time, the lord transformed from a gangster to a respectable figure who now commanded a significant presence wherever he went.

The lord had no great ambitions; as long as he could continue living the way he did now, carefree and at ease, he would feel completely satisfied.

In theory:

Sending the knights ahead to clear the way while he made a grand entrance was not something the lord did for the first time.

Although such behavior might seem arrogant, the townspeople had long been accustomed to it.

However, today's situation was anything but ordinary.

While the lord maintained his usual high profile, his actions and behaviors appeared unusually restrained, giving observers an impression of discomfort.

As the citizens looked up and felt the lack of rain or any signs of meteorites or hail falling from the sky, they became puzzled by the lord's behavior.

Since it was supposed to be a normal day, the lord's conduct was far from normal!

It was as if a usually cocky wolf, upon entering the sheepfold today, not only did not swagger around but also kept its tail tucked tightly between its legs…

Such a sight could not help but make the sheep-like citizens shudder for a moment.

If the citizens felt a bit afraid of the abnormal lord,

then the middle-aged man beside the lord, with a kind face and a very affable manner of speaking, unwittingly made them fear him.

In the crowd, someone who seemed well-informed muttered these words:

"I've seen that person, he is none other than the famous South Yi Zheng!"

As this remark spread, Wang Xiaole faintly noticed the sound of gasps around him, which had increased significantly compared to before.

Wang Xiaole also knew some information about this person.

He was a well-known philanthropist whose fame spread across the continent, primarily engaged in business and belonged to the wealthy class of great merchants who could rival a nation.

Not only did he have an excellent reputation among the common people, but he also had connections in both the lawful and unlawful realms; he had shared a drink with the head of a bandit group and conversed with military personnel in the kingdom.

During his usual travels, regardless of whether it was a self-sufficient lord of a small town or even a king of a nation, they would have to give him face.

For such a formidable figure to appear in a small town, he would naturally receive a warm welcome from the lord.

Although this distinguished guest might be merely passing through the area unknowingly, it still made the lord extremely nervous.

Even with the highest level of hospitality provided by the lord personally, ensuring that the guest enjoyed the treatment he often received, the tension was still palpable.

As Wang Xiaole watched the distant merchant, other information also surfaced in his mind:

South Yi Zheng—known to all, he had become a wealthy merchant and amassed vast riches through the trade of beastkin slaves.

In this era, trading in beastkin did not violate any laws, so many merchants engaged in this profession, turning into full-time or part-time traffickers.

Unlike other individual slave traders, the South family had been in this business for five generations; even before his generation, their wealth was already astonishing.

When the business passed to his generation, it undoubtedly experienced unprecedented growth over the previous foundation; basically, the number of beastkin slaves sold through him amounted to as many as a hundred thousand.

In other words, regardless of where it was in the eastern and western continents, the South family could be considered the leader in the slave trade industry; there was never a rival qualified to challenge their supreme position, and in all the slave markets worldwide, the South family was highly respected.

It was hard to say what kind of person South Yi Zheng was, and Wang Xiaole found it difficult to judge him.

However, despite refraining from judgment, he was extremely reluctant to associate with such a person for a simple reason:

A slave trader remained a slave trader, and no matter how many good deeds they did, it could not erase the fact that their hands were already stained with the blood of countless beastkin.

He did not believe that as a free-spirited individual, he was necessarily more righteous than the other party; but at the very least, he felt that he was living a slightly cleaner life than South Yi Zheng.

The commotion was enough for Wang Xiaole to witness.

Subsequently, Wang Xiaole lost interest in staying outside and turned back towards the direction of the inn.

On his way back, perhaps for the sake of conversation, Charley unexpectedly remarked:

"People really can't have everything..."

Upon hearing this, Wang Xiaole did not stop but turned his head to ask Charley:

"What do you mean?"

"Do you not know, Xiaole? The next heir of the South family, who is also the son of South Yi Zheng, is an incompetent and frivolous young man."

Based on the intelligence I have gathered, that guy has done nothing productive apart from tormenting male beastkin all day and fooling around with female beastkin.
