"The usual way of entering isn't suitable for me, it's better to just barge in."

This girl with a charming figure, a lovely face, and a dislike for wearing shoes is called Charley.

The moment she enters a room of the opposite sex, the first thing she looks for is the person of the opposite sex.

In the process of searching for Charley, she didn't encounter much difficulty;

because the person she was looking for, at this moment, was not hiding at all. After coming out of the closet, he quickly came to the window in three steps.

Under the window is the ground connected to the first floor, with a distance of only about six or seven meters from the second floor to the first floor;

jumping from this height is neither difficult nor strenuous for a strong person like Wang Xiaole.

"Goodbye!"

Without looking back, Wang Xiaole hastily bid farewell to Charley and then posed properly, with his legs ready to leave the window's edge.

Swoosh!

Unfortunately, Charley took action at this moment, whipping the whip forward.

In an instant, the whip turned into a black shadow and came attacking, targeting one of Wang Xiaole's arms, entwining and restraining it.

Because of this slight delay in action, Wang Xiaole's originally easy fate was altered;

at least for this day, he couldn't shake off the unilateral harassment from Charley.

"A person's life is always full of ups and downs... "

Due to his rich experience, Wang Xiaole quickly adjusted his mindset;

there was now a sense of desolation lingering around him, making it easy for others to think of him as a hero who may never return.

"Why the long face? I came specifically to find Xiaole and spend a leisurely holiday with you."

As an uninvited intruder, the invited party was very puzzled:

how could Charley so casually skip over the fact that she had smashed down the door earlier and invite him out as if everything was normal?

In fact, Charley was emphasizing that today was a holiday, but it couldn't even stir up the slightest excitement in Wang Xiaole's heart.

As a wanderer, he usually made a living by robbing the rich to help the poor (and himself);

for someone like him with no fixed job, every day is a holiday, what's the difference between yesterday and today?

Charley was the same. Wang Xiaole could tell from the fact that she could tail him for a long time that she probably didn't have to worry about making a living;

such people either did work similar to a bounty hunter, relying on "robbing the rich to help the poor" to support themselves;

or they were the second generation of a wealthy (official) family, the kind of person who could survive without working.

Since she didn't need to work, rest days or holidays didn't hold much significance for Charley.

Wang Xiaole really couldn't understand:

"Why are you so keen on today?"

"Because today is the kingdom's statutory holiday."

"You just said that, what I meant was: why do you love holidays so much?"

"Can't Xiaole understand? Every time this kind of resting day comes, there will be couples on the streets holding hands, shoulders side by side..."

The picture Charley described was too real, making Wang Xiaole, this single dog, immediately feel a strong sense of discomfort both physically and mentally.

Enduring Charley's description, he twitched his cheeks as he asked her back, "What does it have to do with you and me if couples display affection in the streets?"

"We can go out on the streets too!"

"Are we a couple?"

"Aren't we a couple?"

"No!"

After affirming this response, Wang Xiaole headed out towards the entrance of the room.

Charley refused to let go easily, maintaining a grip on each other's hands, and followed with light steps.

The inn was constructed in such a way that the resting place also served as an entertainment spot. The upper floors and beyond were for guests to relax; meanwhile, the ground floor functioned as both a restaurant and a bar, where accommodated guests could dine and external visitors could have a drink.

Unlike the higher floors meant for rest, the ground floor's decor looked wild, giving off a sense of being in a primitive forest.

This illusion of being outdoors when actually indoors was a prominent feature of the establishment.

In Wang Xiaole's personal opinion, he definitely liked the ground floor; otherwise, he wouldn't be dining there but would have already sought out mobile food stalls on the street.

It was early in the morning, and the guests had not yet arrived, leaving only two individuals on the ground floor.

In contrast, the boss had gotten up early and was currently serving the two guests in place of the absent waiters.

"Customer, would you like the steamed buns and dumplings from the Eastern Continent, or the bread and fries from the Western Continent?"

The boss spoke as if learning from their employed workers; the completely different menu was specially developed considering the geographical location of the area.

The inn was situated at a crossroads between the Eastern and Western Continents, leading to significant development in local commerce and tourism, attracting diverse people.

With a variety of guests, the menu naturally had to evolve.

This small inn could offer food not just for humans but also for dragon and sea clans, catering to various tastes.

Following his usual eating habits, Wang Xiaole took a steamed bun and a pack of fries, mixing the two to eat together.

Before formally dining, he made a reasonable request to Charley, "Let go of the whip; it's inconvenient for me to eat breakfast with one hand."

"I can feed Xiaole."

"No need."

"It's not free; in return, Xiaole must feed me at the same time."

Charley lightly opened her red lips, squeezed them into an "O" shape like a cherry, emphasizing with action that she was ready.

"Alas, getting old, getting old. Without going out to bask in the sun for a while, I feel uncomfortable all over."

The boss deliberately made a loud noise, exaggeratedly stretched their "old bones," then went towards the spacious backyard along the dedicated pathway, amidst two pairs of staring eyes.

The boss probably thought they had just created an atmosphere, but in reality, Wang Xiaole believed the boss was terrible at gauging moods.

In a normal display of affection between couples, how could one be enthusiastic while the other wore a gloomy expression?

A discerning person would simply need to observe the man's reactions to understand the nature of the scene.

Is this the place where flash bombs are being set off?

Absolutely not!

This is clearly a scene where the woman is forcing the man to submit, trying every means possible to make it difficult for him.

"Xiaole, open your mouth!"

Wang Xiaole watched as Charley approached with a semblance of a pouncing tiger;

Looking at the chopsticks being extended towards him, he inexplicably thought of a sword.

Perhaps Charley noticed his exaggerated reaction, as he set down the chopsticks and instead used a different method to offer the fries he had brought earlier.

Fries are a convenient food, easy to grab and eat with your hands;

Even more convenient when, as it was now, Charley held it with her lips and, in a kiss-like manner, delivered it to the person in front of her.

To eat or not to eat?

That is the question.

Having dealt with Charley for some time, Wang Xiaole was well aware that Charley wasn't the type to do things without expecting something in return;

If he ate her fries now, his first kiss would likely be taken away three seconds later.

And if this terrible turn of events were to become reality, Charley would surely come up with a plausible excuse to brush off the stolen kiss.

Her explanation at the time wouldn't be hard to imagine:

"Oh my, Xiaole ate too quickly, I couldn't pull my lips back in time..."

Don't expect to get an explanation then, whether or not he would be labeled as the "culprit" himself is hard to say.

But not eating was also not very realistic.

Charley narrowed her eyes as she approached, the fry already in front of his mouth;

In this situation, there was simply no way to avoid it, no matter how hard he racked his brains.

So, Wang Xiaole chose to eat, but played a little trick.

The correct way to eat fries was for a couple to eat one together, each person only eating half;

In this way, the inevitable ending of a mouth-to-mouth, lip-to-lip kiss was the logical plot development.

Charley's script was initially designed this way, but as one of the performers, Wang Xiaole resisted with actual actions.

After taking the first bite, he immediately closed his mouth, straightened his body, and sat up erect, with a crisp sound of his upper and lower teeth biting together.

"The taste is really good, I'm full."

Charley glanced at the fry that was only one-third eaten, listening to Wang Xiaole's intentionally belch, she couldn't believe her eyes and ears.

Full?

With just this little bit of food, it was questionable whether it could even satisfy a hamster, yet an adult male claimed to be full after eating it?

Before long, Charley understood the reason behind this, knowing it was a little trick pulled by the other to prevent her stolen kiss.

Evil begets evil.

The victor of this first round of confrontation was clear.

Although Wang Xiaole temporarily sacrificed his stomach, he successfully protected his first kiss, making a profitable trade.

In the short term, Charley's missed first opportunity did not hinder her from turning the tables and launching a second round of attacks.

"Xiaole, since you're full, let's go on a date!"

Wang Xiaole had just settled down when suddenly hearing this request, her complexion, which had just recovered its rosy hue, turned pale again in an instant.

"Oh, wait, Charley, you haven't really eaten much, have you? Finish your food first. I'll go outside for some fresh air..."

With a loud bang, Charley braced himself on the table and stood up, stuffing a steamed bun into Wang Xiaole's mouth while holding the bag of fries with his other hand.

"We can eat and walk at the same time, enjoying the fresh air outside as we go on our date."

With these words, Charley grabbed the whip in his hand, leading his date out of the inn.

Missing the chance to steal their date's first kiss left Charley feeling a bit regretful, but then she thought to herself:

Compared to the more valuable things to be gained during the date, such as a kiss, it wasn't much of a loss.
