The essence of the Forbidden Curse of Color is summarized as "hypnosis," while Wang Xiaole's Forbidden Curse is "rebound attack"; and the effect of Mewo White's Forbidden Curse, condensed into just four words, is "absolute damage"!

All of Mewo White's attacks, upon reaching any part of the target, can inflict a "maximum damage effect" akin to hitting a vital spot.

In other words, the damage caused by Mewo White is far from negligible in the eyes of enemies; attacking an enemy's finger could render their entire arm useless, and a mere scratch to the chest could destroy the heart completely.

However, in this world, there are invincible individuals, but no invincible curses.

Even the curses held by Mewo White do not escape this rule, and also have notable shortcomings:

Firstly, curses cannot be used in conjunction with weapons. To unleash the curse's effect, Mewo White can only engage in combat using her body; this was the reason she refrained from using daggers in combat not too long ago.

Secondly, Mewo White must personally strike the enemy to inflict damage; that is, damage cannot be dealt without a hit or from a distance.

Furthermore, Mewo White does not maintain this "inherent immense killing power" at all times; during regular periods without using the curse, her small fists on the chest of "Bad Sister" are as soft as cotton, and the fingers she uses to poke "Big Sister in White's" shoulder are so gentle they cannot even be considered a massage...

After defeating the "King of Treants," the team completed their mission in this stage and later exited the forest with nothing left to do.

The entrance of the forest connected to the original world; for now, the game (adventure) could only be temporarily halted considering time and physical strength limitations.

Led by Wang Xiaole, the trio stepped out of the entrance, and the scenery before their eyes changed, eventually leading them back to the familiar room.

Seeing Mewo White's still-enjoying face, Wang Xiaole understood what she was thinking; prompted by Lucia's previous reminder, Wang Xiaole finally realized the need to discard the idea of unilaterally taking care of Mewo White, choosing instead to stroke the little girl's head.

"Big Brother, you were saved this time thanks to Mewo White; in future adventures, Big Brother and the sisters will need to rely more on your strength!"

Being acknowledged and praised is what Mewo White truly needs and desires, making her lift her chin happily.

While Lucia felt relieved seeing her partner's change of heart, she also grew puzzled: why does the beloved, a girl, refer to herself as "Big Brother," a misunderstanding to complement Little White Cat; but Little White Cat is not a confused child who can't distinguish gender, so why is the beloved continuously misunderstood as a male?

Lucia had always found this puzzling.

Unaware of Lucia's doubts, Wang Xiaole, while petting Mewo White, was pondering another matter:

It's been a while since Cai left the room. Why hasn't she come back yet? Could she have encountered some trouble?

Just as Wang Xiaole had in mind, Cai was indeed facing a series of different troubles at the moment.

Let's rewind time back to several minutes ago, in the kitchen.

"Hmm hmmm hmmm, what should I do?" Cai hummed the initial melody of a song, looking at the chefs around her who had temporarily fallen to the floor due to hypnosis, and at the numerous ingredients stored in the room. She was momentarily caught in a dilemma.

Her dilemma was not about what dish to cook, but the deep distress she felt over being unable to use so many ingredients around her. After all, she couldn't just pick freely.

All ingredients in the palace, whether meat or vegetable, and their value, would be meticulously recorded in the account books. If Cai took any ingredient from the kitchen, it would surely be discovered by the chefs later.

If she hypnotized all chefs to record wrong information in the account books, then all problems would be solved. Cai had the ability to do this, but if she did, she would be breaking her previous promise of not causing trouble to the people in the palace.

On one hand, she wanted the three who were waiting in the room to eat well and be satisfied. On the other hand, she couldn't touch any of the palace's ingredients. It could be said that Cai, as the saying goes in the Eastern Continent, was now in a difficult situation of "a capable woman struggling to cook without rice."

Just as she was racking her brains, suddenly, a pigeon flew in from the opposite branch of a tree. The pigeon flapped its wings, flew towards the window on the side of the kitchen, and perched on the edge with its claws.

"Coo, coo, coo!"

Afraid of not catching Cai's attention, the pigeon started hopping at the edge of death. Unless Cai suddenly went blind, or her eyes were just decorations, she definitely wouldn't miss the plump and feathered pigeon.

"Oh, now you come to find me at this time?" Cai stared at the pigeon for a while and, after recognizing it, reached out a hand to reopen the closed window. The kitchen, being an important area, was not supposed to be opened just before cooking to prevent birds and insects from entering. But Cai clearly had no such concerns because she knew very well about the origin of the pigeon she had let in.

Cai's decision to let the pigeon in was not for stewing it, at least not for the time being.

"Coo, coo, coo."

The pigeon hopped in, stood steady on the stove in the kitchen, observed Cai with its pigeon eyes for a while, and called out to her in a different voice, "You seem to be living happily lately, Holy Maiden!"

The pigeon standing in front of Cai was originally a kind of monster, but a hundred years ago, it was captured as an entire species by the Holy Kingdom, then baptized and trained with divine power. Eventually, in this era, this pigeon became the Holy Kingdom's specialized "communication pigeon," with a function similar to a "communication crystal."

However, the "communication crystal" had obvious limitations.

In circumstances where the parties communicating were referred to as "A" and "B," using crystals for communication would fail if only A wanted to talk while B consistently remained in a "reject" state. In contrast, using "communication pigeons," such situations would not occur. No matter whether the other party B was willing to communicate, these pigeons would approach B and serve as a "messenger" by themselves.

Mistakes are impossible to happen when it comes to this type of pigeon, as although it still belongs to the bird species, it possesses a sense of smell surpassing all canine creatures in the world; as long as the person sending out the pigeon instructs this bird to remember the scent of the target to search for, then even with the influence of wind, rain, or distance, the undesired outcome of finding the wrong person will not occur. How to make the pigeon smell the target's scent is even simpler. Upon joining the members of the Holy Empire, each one must, at the beginning of joining, hand over a strand of hair, which will then be carefully kept by relevant personnel. The purpose of handing over the hair is twofold: first, to check if the person submitting it is a purebred human with no integration of other races' bloodlines in their body; the second purpose, needless to say, is to become the olfactory target for the "carrier pigeon" when necessary, making it easier for the pigeon to remember the target's scent. And after the pigeon arrives in front of the target, the two parties engaging in the subsequent conversation are by no means human and avian; as mentioned earlier: the pigeon is just a "messenger", and what it is currently emitting is the voice of the person who dispatched it to this place; and, Cyan is very familiar with that voice; currently conversing with Cyan is one of the "Four Great Bishops" in the country, a woman ranked above the White and Red Bishops...

"Blue Cloth! Why waste time on someone like me? With your noble status, shouldn't you be doing something more meaningful?"

Even though the position and status of the "Holy Maiden" are far above that of the Blue Cloth Bishop, Cyan still uses the respectful tone she is accustomed to, politely advising the other party to end the conversation. If it were someone else hearing Cyan's polite voice, they might be momentarily speechless due to being unsure. But this kind of response is impossible to appear in the Blue Cloth Bishop; as if not hearing that way, the Blue Cloth Bishop, no matter what Cyan says, just recites the prepared words, word for word:

"Last night, the cross belonging to the Red Bishop broke, the cracking of that magical item symbolizing the result of his death; Lady Holy Maiden, do you know about this matter?"

"Hmph, he died? Hope he doesn't go to hell."

It was only from this moment that Cyan just learned of this news, feeling a little surprised in her heart. According to the recent behavior of the Red Bishop, Cyan could probably guess the cause of his death and who the perpetrator was; what the Blue Cloth Bishop intends to find out at this moment is probably related to the true identity of the killer; however, Cyan immediately answers:

"I have no idea eh! Which killer, in the world, did such a despicable thing?"

Ignorance is bliss. Just thinking about it, Cyan could guess that this matter, can't be unrelated to her "Lord Xiaoyue"; it is precisely because of this, she insists firmly, asserting that she cannot provide any useful intelligence. The Blue Cloth Bishop cannot read minds, unable to judge whether Cyan's answer is true or false, but indeed, the topic concerning the Red Bishop can only end here.

"Since Lady Holy Maiden says you don't know, then let's change to a topic you can answer well... Lady, when are you ready to return to the country?"

The question that Cyan least wanted to face eventually struck! According to the rules, Cyan should have already set off to return to the Holy Empire immediately after completing the pilgrimage to Dibiles.

Even if applying for a "midway stay," it really shouldn't take such a long time, which is unacceptable both morally and rationally.

Cai was well aware that the argument was not in her favor, so when asked about it, she could only resort to joking:

"Blue, are you planning to 'bully the weak' and not get along with a fragile girl like me?"

"I dare not do such a thing, but there are those who might."

Bishop Blue changed his tone shortly after, finally revealing his true intentions:

"Respected Holy Maiden, my contact with you this time is not based on personal whim, but rather by order of His Holiness the Pope!"

Cai's gentle smile slowly faded from her face at this moment, replaced by an expressionless visage.
