Little girl, become the queen.

At the forefront of a slowly moving caravan of carriages, Dracula, dressed in splendid attire, sat upright in the first carriage, holding Wang Yafu securely in his arms. Throughout the journey, Dracula rarely spoke, and Wang Yafu felt too shy to initiate conversation with this "elder sister."

The caravan had been traveling eastward for several days now, with its destination set for the capital city of the vampire clan. To explain why Wang Yafu, a human by birth, was accompanying Dracula to such a place, one must start from the beginning:

Like her brother, Wang Yafu was a native of the Celestial Empire and had fortuitously become a member of the time travel party. However, compared to the time travelers in novels, Wang Yafu clearly fell into the category of being unlucky. Upon arriving in the United Continent, she found herself surrounded by a group of monsters until she was rescued by Dracula. If not for Dracula, her situation would have been dire.

After being rescued, Wang Yafu was taken in by Dracula due to her nowhere to go, and she received warm hospitality from him. Being a sensible child often praised by teachers and consistently awarded as a "model student," Wang Yafu felt very uneasy about receiving one-sided care. Even though not spoken, she wished to repay her elder sister.

Dracula, sensing Wang Yafu's gratefulness, was spared much effort. Since the "little sister" was so sincere, Dracula, who referred to herself as "sister," dropped her pretense. With her hands folded on the dining table, a shrewd gleam sparkled in Dracula's beautiful eyes as she expressed her thoughts to Wang Yafu:

"There is one thing I must ask you to do, consider it as repaying the favor of saving you!" If it were a difficult task, Wang Yafu, even with the will, would surely be unable to complete it. However, fortunately:

The task itself was not difficult. As long as Wang Yafu maintained her "human" identity, she would be able to accomplish it. Before officially entrusting the task, Dracula recounted a piece of internal clan history to Wang Yafu:

In the past, the progenitor of the vampire clan, Cain, left a prophecy on the eve of his life running out: hundreds of years later, a foreign human girl with black hair typical of Eastern Continent humans, short stature, occasionally uttering complex words, would enter the clan's territory.

Though she was a peculiar girl, all descendants of the clan were not to harm her. Furthermore, when that girl met the direct descendant of Cain, it would be the opportune moment: the said direct descendant would personally escort the girl to the capital city. There, all heads of the "Thirteen Clans" would be summoned. In the presence of all clan heads, the girl would be crowned in a grand ceremony, becoming the new queen of the clan.

This was the complete content of the prophecy as understood by Dracula, the direct descendant of Cain. Due to the long gap between the time of the prophecy's announcement and the present era, not only did the other blood clans hold doubt, even Dracula herself was skeptical of the prophecy. However, today's encounter with Wang Yafu shattered all of Dracula's doubts.

The reason is quite simple, analyzing the features of Wang Yafu reveals:

First:

She is a native of the Middle Kingdom, with both parents being Chinese, naturally inheriting a head of black hair.

Second:

Being just ten years old and following a development trend in line with her peers, Wang Yafu also fits the "petite" characteristic.

Lastly:

Though she hasn't even reached junior high yet, Wang Yafu's level of "adolescent rebellion" definitely rivals that of her older brother during his junior high days;

Her occasional "adolescent rebellion pronouncements" are so cryptic that not even Dracula himself, let alone the entire population of the Great Continent, could comprehend them;

Wang Yafu also embodies the crucial characteristic of being "hard to understand."

If:

Wang Yafu only shared a point or two in common with the prophesied girl, Dracula wouldn't be this eager.

But given that the "little sister" meets all three criteria and aligns perfectly with the prophecy, Dracula can no longer stay calm.

Dracula believes:

The identity of the little sister will surely prove to be very useful!

While Dracula himself may not be quick to proclaim Wang Yafu as the destined new vampire king based solely on a prophecy;

She doesn't entirely discredit it either;

As within the clan, there are certainly many who would steadfastly choose to believe in Wang Yafu as the "prophesied girl."

Tracing back to the roots:

The ancestor Cain was indeed too great.

Such a great ancestor's prophecy, even after hundreds of years, still compels some traditionalist vampires to place blind faith in it.

As long as there are those within the clan who believe, Wang Yafu can greatly assist Dracula.

"Little sister, please do as your sister says."

Over the next three days, Dracula taught Wang Yafu a considerable amount about vampire knowledge and ensured she grasped the basic etiquette.

During this time, whenever Wang Yafu had uncertainties, she would seek guidance from Dracula.

Of course, her questions were not related to etiquette or vampire history, but rather a pivotal query:

"Why would becoming the new vampire king help my big sister?"

If Dracula's request was for Wang Yafu to help her "big sister" become the vampire queen, she could somewhat understand it.

"An excellent question!"

The cautiousness with which Wang Yafu posed her question now seemed entirely unnecessary.

After being questioned, Dracula showed no signs of displeasure. On the contrary, her eyes sparkled as if she had been eagerly anticipating Wang Yafu's inquiry.

"Once the little sister becomes the new king, as the chief supporter, I can elevate my current status and even seize the opportunity to secure personal gains."

"Such as?"

"Taking over financial power, under the noble pretext, transferring the funds in the treasury under my name, becoming a wealthy tycoon!"

At this point, the gleam in Dracula's eyes became ten times more intense;

And it was not the glint of wisdom, but rather the shine of golden coins.

Various currencies, gems, and treasures will all be mine at that time, all for me to enjoy alone!

Dracula's eyes, like two coins bouncing up and down, rolled around in their sockets, dazzling Wang Yafu.

Wang Yafu was still too young, a girl without much money consciousness, naturally unable to understand the "big sister's" desire for wealth.

But she still made a point:

"Even if big sister becomes queen, can't she have the treasury all to herself?"

"No, being queen is too tiring! Not only do you have to take on responsibilities, but you also have to deal with a lot of troublesome things... I'm fine with my current position."

So, I have to do all the tiring things?

Realizing this, Wang Yafu couldn't help but feel bitter in her heart.

But in order to repay the kindness of the "big sister," she could only grit her teeth and push ahead.

At this moment, Wang Yafu's slightly bitter memories officially came to an end.

Suddenly, many carriages came to a stop as the procession arrived at a broad river.

The river was not swift but was over two hundred meters wide.

The water flowed gently, clear and transparent, with an iron bridge spanning the river, several meters wide.

Dracula's leading procession came to a halt, not because vampires couldn't cross the river out of concern;

Whether it was her, her elite followers were all medium or high-class vampires, even if they jumped into the river to swim, it wouldn't be a problem.

The current situation was just as the scout kneeling before Dracula had reported:

"My lord, there is an army blocking the road ahead!"

"Oh? Did you clearly explain my identity to them?"

"I did, I even emphasized that you are one of the thirteen clan lords and showed them proof of your identity!"

"Then why bother me? Let's just cross the bridge."

Dracula said lightly, and the scout answered in a deep voice before riding off.

Don't criticize, many vampires do not like going out, which also leads to their overall physical condition being poor;

To prevent falling behind when going out, many vampires choose to raise mounts at home. Is it rare for them to ride horses?

You can find those who ride cows or sheep in the group.

On the western bank of the river, at the head of the iron bridge, stood over thirty blood clan soldiers in armor blocking the way.

They looked proud and contemptuously at the distant army;

On the other end of the iron bridge were two hundred-person squads of light cavalry, looking on from the west bank, holding military crossbows.

The leading officer had a serious expression, his features so strikingly like a protagonist.

Dracula on the other side, holding a sword at the bridge's end, stood in the way as an obstacle, showing no intention of allowing passage.

"After knowing my identity, you dare to come and obstruct me?"

Walking from the center of the procession to the front, Dracula gazed unfavourably at the officer, who arrogantly replied:

I know your identity, but my master does not allow you to pass. As his follower, I naturally cannot violate his wishes."

"Who is your master?"

"That's a good question."

Like someone going out for a walk and being asked about their pet, of course, this officer saw himself as a pet.

"As is well known, the entire vampire race is divided into thirteen clans, collectively known as the 'Thirteen Clans.' My master belongs to the second clan..."

"You think I wouldn't know who's behind you when you play this joke?"

"Haha!"

Having woken up early today, Dracula couldn't help but let out a big yawn, interrupting the officer's speech.

"I mean... You asked me yourself, I was about to answer, and you ended up yawning! Do you even want to know?"

"Nope!"

Refused?

The expression on the officer's face now was so complex that no words could describe it, while Dracula casually cleaned his ears.

"Just kidding. How could I not know who your master is? If I really didn’t know, I wouldn't have bothered to come here."
