"Going down" is a skillful act.

Apart from the various ways of "going down," this action in different situations represents multiple meanings.

For example, when a girl falls in front of a boy in her boudoir (regardless of where she falls), there is a high probability that she is implying:

I want to engage in "exercise," come and cooperate quickly!

This common and understandable situation is easy to grasp.

But since there are simple cases, there are naturally complex ones as well.

If we interpret certain girls falling down as a way to demand "public rations" to some extent;

Then what does it mean when Wang Xiaole, the temporary boy, suddenly falls backwards in front of Curyl? There are several possible implications.

It probably implies a psychological state similar to this:

Facing his girlfriend, he lost two consecutive games playing "pesticides" face to face, and his mentality was a bit shattered.

Seeing that they were entering the third round, in order to prevent the opponent's mentality from going from shattered to explosive, he can only take the initiative to forfeit and hand over the victory.

Wang Xiaole understands very well:

Although Curyl is not his real girlfriend, the level of difficulty is not much different;

He doesn't want to see the girl in front of him cry for the second time at some point...

"Why are you lying down?"

When Curyl asked, Wang Xiaole assumed a submissive stance, propped himself up on the ground, and pretended to struggle as he replied:

"I was pushed back by the aura of 'Wang dominance' that you emitted, and I suffered some internal injuries. I can no longer continue the duel..."

"Human, who did you call a turtle?"

"Huh?!"

Engaging in his exaggerated acting, Wang Xiaole was caught off guard when Curyl made this comment.

"Insulting someone? Have I done such a thing?"

"Definitely! You, a human, have been calling me a little turtle since just now, otherwise why mention 'Wang dominance'."

"Is that considered an insult? Am I wrong to compliment you? I just said 'Wang dominance'."

"You're still insulting me!"

After Curyl revealed a menacing expression, Wang Xiaole quickly analyzed that sentence in his mind and immediately reached a conclusion:

It seems that the girl misinterpreted it as a homophone. Could it be that my pronunciation is not very accurate?

Wang Xiaole couldn't believe it.

If the popular language here was English or Neonian, it would be entirely possible for his pronunciation to be misunderstood;

But the common language on this continent is the same as the Heavenly Dynasty, and most people speak Mandarin.

Wang Xiaole believed that his Mandarin, at a minimum, reached a level 8 proficiency, and communication with local residents was absolutely effortless.

However, Curyl misunderstood.

He speculated:

Perhaps it's because the girl's race is the demon race, and she is not very proficient in human languages, which led her to interpret that sentence as an insult.

Understanding why the girl was angry was easy, so Wang Xiaole began to explain:

"Listen to me, those two words are not what you think they are..."

"I won't listen, you 'land pig' (landlord) reciting scriptures!"

Curyl held his head and shook it desperately.

Even when Wang Xiaole tried to reach out his hand, Curyl's swinging ponytail was like a whip;

Whenever his hand attempted to get close, it would quickly retract amid a painful sensation on the back of his hand.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Wang Xiaole had been unable to calm down Curyl, until the moment the girl made her attitude clear:

"I'm telling you, human, if we don't determine a victor between us, this matter won't be over!"

Well, raising the white flag didn't work, instead, it added fuel to the fire burning in the girl's heart, making the flames grow stronger.

Since there was no hope for negotiation, they decided to continue fighting.

Wang Xiaole took the opportunity to lie on the ground and rest for a while, waiting for Curyl to shuffle the cards before he sat back up.

At this point, it was no longer possible for Wang Xiaole alone to let Curyl win a game of cards.

Wang Xiaole had to find some help, so he gave a signal to the two girls beside him.

Wink, wink, wink.

After the frequent blinking, the two girls both exclaimed "Oh," without saying a word, but they understood each other's thoughts.

Sister Glasses interpreted the meaning of the wink like this:

Miss Wang realized that "throwing the game" was not an option, so she gave up all illusions and decided to give her all to outwit her opponent.

Such determination is worthy of admiration!

Since Miss Wang specifically signaled me not to get emotional, I might as well give it my all!

Lucia interpreted the meaning of the wink like this:

Darling originally wanted to go easy on that demon (Curyl) and save some face for him, but who knew he wouldn't appreciate a good deed;

Now Darling is very angry, and the consequences will be serious!

My position has been determined from the beginning, Darling plans to teach the opponent a lesson in thorough victory, and I must assist to the fullest!

And so, the two allies misunderstood each other's intentions, not only unable to help in the following game, but also making unintentional chaos.

Wang Xiaole, through his own experience, taught people:

Using signals is risky, unless absolutely necessary, it's better not to try.

However, Wang Xiaole was unaware of the two girls' "unhelpful help" for a long time, but instead felt happy in his heart, thinking:

My hand is terrible, and I have two undercover agents attacking from both sides, I should lose this time, right?

Curyl's reaction was completely different. She didn't say anything unnecessary, but instead set a flag in her heart:

My hand is super good, and I have two teammates cooperating closely, the opponent should lose this time, right?

Amidst laughter and cheers, Curyl played her cards one after another, and in the end, she played the ultimate cards... "GG."

Wang Xiaole fell silent in an instant – the plot shouldn't have developed like this!

Curyl closed her eyes immediately – where was the trust between demon and human?

The lessons from three consecutive defeats were beneficial to Curyl's spiritual growth.

After sitting quietly for three minutes, she calmly exhaled and the three words came out with the breath:

"You win!"

Curyl accepted reality and decided to face her bleak fate.

The main reason for her sudden change in determination was not a sudden realization of her conscience or possessing the tranquil temperament of a hermit.

Yes! Curyl gave up on further battles purely because she was afraid of losing.

The first time she lost, she was annoyed and upset;

The second time, she was haunted by the shadow of defeat;

And the third time, she lost and even began to doubt her entire life – no, it should be "demon life."

Just as Lucia fears Curyl on a physical level, Curyl has developed a deep aversion to card games, originating from her soul.

The fear of these games surpasses the shame she would usually feel when facing a rival in love.

That's why Curyl acknowledges her defeat through her actions.

Sister Glasses, who has been observing from the side, finally remembers her duty.

After Curyl's fighting spirit dissipates, Sister Glasses raises her hand from the ground in a sitting position, using the height of the platform to announce to the audience:

"The winner has been decided, and the familiar 'dark horse' has the last laugh."

As soon as these words are spoken, the spectators below immediately become restless and protest, expressing a collective sentiment:

"Did they even fight? We didn't see a single proper fight from beginning to end."

The atmosphere in the venue becomes chaotic, and one of Sister Glasses' other responsibilities is to calm the situation when appropriate:

"I understand your frustration. This may have been an unconventional duel, but both sides have accepted the outcome. What else can I say?"

Although the citizens who came to watch a fight are pacified to some extent, they still feel a sense of dissatisfaction.

They have no choice but to come back tomorrow in the hope of witnessing another thrilling battle.

Those who have no personal stake gradually disperse, and every corner of the venue gradually becomes empty.

Slowly, the loud waves of noise dissipate along with the flow of people, taking away the slight warmth of this winter day.

The temperature has dropped slightly, but compared to the chill in Lucia's heart, it is insignificant.

The demon Wang sees this:

Curyl regains her unreasonable confidence and steps forward after getting up from the ground.

At first, Lucia thinks that the girl in front of her is coming towards her, so she focuses all her attention on assuming a defensive posture.

After a defensive punch or two, Lucia's eyes are almost completely closed.

But she waits for a long time and doesn't see any aggressive moves from the "demon," so she musters up the courage to look around.

Lucia realizes that:

Curyl is not headed towards her, but seems to be completely focused on Wang Xiaole at the moment she first stood up.

At the beginning of the duel, this girl made a public promise:

If she lost in the subsequent battles, she would grant Wang Xiaole one request.

Before she met her "seniors," if it were the previous her, she would definitely have slipped away after losing the duel, choosing to ignore the promise selectively.

But now, Curyl has learned from Lucia the qualities of dignity and the importance of keeping promises, and she cannot bring herself to engage in such dishonesty.

"Hey, what is your request?"

Rather than waiting for her rival to ask, Curyl willingly brings up the matter.

Wang Xiaole isn't sure how to answer this question right away.

Lucia, who is next to them, keeps hinting and using various subtle actions to prompt her "dear" to make a request related to her;

Under this series of subtle movements, Wang Xiaole briefly considers it, but then decides against it.

Half of what constitutes Curyl's body is composed of water, fat, and the like, while the other half is her love for her "seniors".

If Wang Xiaole is determined to keep Curyl away from Lucia, it would be better to end his miserable life.

Is it possible for Curyl to leave the Senate and work for his disciple Isabella?

The answer is still no.

Having the demon clan serve the human queen would not only make the demons unhappy, but whether the human camp would accept it is also unknown.

After both ideas were rejected, Wang Xiaole pondered:

Why not just make a request related to Curyl and himself?
