Chapter Three: Is it interesting?

Outside the door, Osen began to look for other accessories for Liter.

In The Empire, only nobles above the rank of Duke are qualified to wear formal attire with family characteristics.

As a martial family, the Stranick family has always had a military tradition, and the design of their formal attire also prominently features military elements.

The family has two sets of formal attire, one in black and one in blue.

For formal occasions hosted by the Stranick family, the general attire is a bright blue formal attire.

For more formal occasions, a more solemn black formal attire is worn.

These two sets of formal attire were designed by top craftsmen of The Empire, and are both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable.

When Osen finished finding the accessories, Liter happened to come out of the bathroom.

At this moment, his hair was slightly wet, and the steam from the bath had made his little face turn red.

Osen approached and took the towel from Liter's shoulder.

"After taking a bath, make sure to dry your hair, especially since your hair is so long. If you don't dry it, it's easy to get sick," Osen said, carefully drying Liter's hair.

"Osen, it's too much trouble. I can do it myself," Liter said.

"It's not troublesome," Osen shook his head. "Besides, Liter, you just came back and there are many things you don't understand."

"As an older brother, it's my responsibility to help you," Osen said.

In fact, according to their birth dates, the two were born on the same day.

But Osen looks and acts more like an older brother.

In addition, Lucius had long proclaimed to others that Osen is his older brother and Liter is his younger brother in order to stabilize Osen's mindset.

Therefore, both of them have accepted each other's identities.

"Alright, all dried up," Osen put the towel back in the bathroom, and then started to dress Liter in the accessories for the formal attire.

Then, he picked up the boots on the ground, held Liter's ankle, and helped him put them on.

He also carefully tied the laces for him.

"Have you learned how? From now on, you'll have to do these things by yourself," Osen crouched on the ground and looked at Liter, who was sitting silently on the bed.

"Yeah," Liter nodded. "Thank you, Osen."

"There's no need to be so formal between us brothers. Just call me brother or Osen directly. Our age difference isn't that big," Osen smiled, then took out the family emblem.

"Listen carefully, Liter." Osen took out the family emblem from his pocket and handed it to Liter.

This had just been delivered by the maid Vivian, saying it was from Lucius.

The Stranick family emblem is a black eagle soaring in the blue sky.

Therefore, black and blue are the traditional colors of the family.

"This is our family emblem. Most of The Empire's nobles have their own emblems." Osen explained the meaning of the emblem to Liter. "The emblem has many functions, the main one being to indicate your identity. Basically, the nobles in The Empire all know each other's emblems. You just arrived, so there's no rush to memorize them all. I'll teach you slowly later."

"Now, this emblem is given to you by father. Although our family emblems are all blue background with a black eagle, the one with a gold border represents direct descendants, which is me, you, father, and mother."

Osen then explained the meaning of many emblems, but Liter was confused.

Seeing this, Osen comforted him with a smile, "It's okay, it's normal not to know these things now. You'll understand slowly in the future."

At this moment, the door was knocked again.

"Come in," Osen said.

The maid, Vivian, came in.

Seeing that Liter was already dressed, Vivian spoke, "Young Master Osen, Young Master Liter, the Lord is urging you."

"Okay, Vivian, you can go down first," Osen nodded, then looked at Liter."Just now, that maid was Vivian. If I'm not at home in the future and you have any troubles, you can find her or Albert, the butler."

"It's about time, come with me. If you don't understand anything later, you can ask me directly."

"Uh..." Liter nodded, then stood up.

After straightening his clothes, he followed Osen downstairs.

The preparation for the banquet in the first-floor hall had already begun. The central long table was filled with food and drinks. Liter had never seen such a scene in the countryside before.

At this moment, he could only timidly follow behind Osen, holding onto Osen's clothes with his small hands, only poking his head out.

Osen didn't pay much attention to this.

In his memories of this life, he had attended banquets of this scale many times and was already accustomed to such pomp and circumstance.

Moreover, the highest-ranking noble present was only a Marquis, none of them outranking his own father's title, so Osen felt even more casual.

As for Liter, Osen could understand him. It was his first time experiencing such a grand event, so he must be a little scared.

But there was no way around it, people always have to grow.

Osen stopped and Liter, who was following behind, didn't notice and accidentally bumped into Osen's solid back, stepping back two steps while covering his nose.

This caused the surrounding nobles to burst into laughter.

Osen, on the other hand, looked coldly at those nobles who were laughing.

"Count Kalsberg, find it amusing?" he said, pointing to a Count.

"No, no, not at all." The Count who laughed the loudest, Count Kalsberg, immediately regained his composure and shook his head.

He was just a small Count, and he didn't dare to provoke the Duke's beloved son.

Then, Osen looked back and the ice immediately melted. He touched Liter's head gently and said softly, "Liter, are you okay?"

"I'm sorry, I suddenly stopped earlier."

In reality, he was extremely flustered at the moment.

He had just been thinking about what to do next with Liter, and then he stopped to think.

But he forgot that Liter was following behind him.

What happened just now wasn't just a simple collision.

In front of so many nobles, Liter would probably resent him and think that he had done it on purpose.

Wouldn't his previous efforts all be in vain?

So, he thought that even if it meant slightly damaging his relationship with these nobles, he had to save Liter's face.

It was the young master's first banquet, there must not be any mishaps!

"It's... it's nothing, Osen brother. It's my own fault for not paying attention when you stopped," Liter said, covering his nose and nodding in a muffled voice.

"No, I need to check." Saying this, Osen took Liter's hand off his nose and carefully checked. After confirming that he was fine, he finally nodded in reassurance.

Then, Lucius and Mary approached.

Seeing that the relationship between the two brothers was still good, Lucius felt relieved.

Then, he and Mary focused their attention on Liter.

Even though Liter, who had been bathed and changed, no longer looked as unkempt as when he first arrived, and Osen had dressed him up with complicated accessories.

But his hunched back and lack of confidence still lacked the demeanor of a noble.

If he were a noble girl, it would be different, but he was Lucius' own son!

He was one of the future heirs of the Stranick family!

Considering that Liter had been in the countryside for so long and might not have adapted immediately, Lucius still nodded.

"Not bad, sit at the table."

Saying this, Lucius took Mary and sat down at the head of the long table.

Osen also turned around and signaled for Liter to follow him."Osen, this isn't proper etiquette," Mary frowned as she saw the two of them sitting on the same side of the dining table.

According to dining table etiquette, the host should sit at the head of the table, while only the VIP and relatives sit next to them.

Liter and Osen should have sat on opposite sides, but Osen took the initiative to sit next to Liter.

It's not that sitting on the same side is not allowed, and there was even an empty seat on both sides.

That seat was meant for their future wives.

"Mother, it's Liter's first visit and he's not familiar with many of the customs. I'm just looking after him, trying to make him feel more comfortable."

"And besides, we're at home after all."

"Alright then," Mary nodded as she looked at Osen.
