Chapter 6: The Taste of Brother Osen

The atmosphere in the following banquet became much more relaxed.

These nobles are best at flattery and ingratiating themselves with the powerful, so even if Lucius just cursed at them a minute ago, they can still come up with a smile on their faces.

Fortunately, they have thick-skinned faces, so the atmosphere at the banquet is not dull.

Half an hour later, all the dishes in front of Liter were swept away, and he suddenly felt a bit overwhelmed.

But he was afraid of making mistakes, so he simply lowered his head and looked at his knees, not doing anything.

Osen had just finished a drink and turned his head to see that Liter's plate in front of him was empty. He immediately understood and walked over to Lucius.

"Father, it seems that Liter is not quite used to this environment. He has finished his meal, so should I take him back to the room first?"

"Okay." Lucius nodded,

After getting Lucius' approval, Osen came to Liter's side.

"Liter, you might not be very comfortable here." Osen whispered and leaned his head towards Liter, allowing him to see himself.

Then he smiled.

"You've been on a carriage all day today. You must be tired. How about going upstairs to rest a bit?"

"Huh? Is that okay?" Liter looked surprised and glanced at Osen. "But, wouldn't it be impolite if I leave early?"

"Good child, no one will blame you." Osen said with a smile.

Indeed, as the protagonist, he is also so likable in character. Even if he knows that he can't handle such a situation, he will still try his best not to embarrass his family.

Then, Osen raised his glass and stood up to face the surrounding nobles.

"Everyone, Liter has been tired from the journey today and just returned from outside. He's not feeling well, so he can't accompany you all here. I will take Liter upstairs first and come back to accompany you later."

"Okay, okay."

"No problem, Master Osen, you go ahead."

"With Liter and Osen being such good brothers, we really don't need to worry about the future."

The nobles praised Osen one after another, except for Count Carlsberg who had just been choked, and they all stood up to pay their respects to the two young masters.

Osen arrived on the second floor, and the maid Vivian was already waiting at the staircase.

Seeing the two young masters coming up, she hurriedly greeted them.

"Master Osen, Master Liter."

"Vivian, is Liter's room ready?" Osen asked.

"Uh...I'm not Master Liter's maid, so about this, I don't know..." Vivian said apologetically to the two.

"It's okay, let's just say it's not ready yet." Osen said, leading Liter to his own room.

This is the first room that Liter has entered since he came home.

Then, he opened the door and led Liter inside.

"Now you can rest in your room for a little while. No one will disturb you. Don't try too hard to relax."

Then he held Liter's hand and sat him down on his own bed.

"If you're tired, lie down on the bed for a while, or sit on the chair and read a book." Osen said, pointing to the bookshelf. "You can read any book on it. If there's something you don't understand, I can explain it to you when you come back."

"Thank you, Brother Osen." Liter nodded obediently and sat on the edge of the bed.

"By the way." Osen seemed to remember something, and then said, "We should have been born on the same day, so you don't have to call me Brother Osen. Just call me Osen privately, so we can be closer."

"I understand, Brother Osen..." Liter nodded, but just as he spoke, he realized that he had habitually added the word "brother" again, so he quickly corrected himself, "Oh...Osen..."

"Yeah, that's right." Osen nodded and gently patted Liter's head. "I have something to do. The banquet hasn't ended yet, so I have to go socialize."With these words, as if to resonate with Liter and bring the two closer, Osen impatiently waved his hand and said, "Ah, it's really troublesome. The banquet is supposed to be a happy gathering for everyone to eat together, but there are always people who like to plot and scheme at the banquet."

"To be honest, I really hate the atmosphere of this kind of banquet."

Hearing Osen's words, Liter was somewhat moved.

It turned out that he was not the only one who didn't like this banquet?

"Alright, alright, you rest first. I'm leaving now." After saying that, Osen waved at Liter and then opened the door and went out again.

"Master Osen, I just asked. Liter's room hasn't been decorated yet." At the door, Vivian saw Osen coming out and whispered to him.

"What's going on?" Osen frowned. "Didn't we know that Liter was coming back a few days ago? It takes so long to tidy up a room?"

"I'm sorry, Master, I don't know what happened either." Vivian said, lowering her head.

Realizing that he had spoken with some emotions just now, Osen took a step back.

"It's okay, it's not your responsibility anyway. It's my tone that was a bit harsh." His tone carried a hint of apology. "Anyway, I will ask Father and Mother about this matter later. You stay here and guard Liter."

"What's wrong with Young Master Liter?" Vivian sounded worried.

"He's fine, just a little tired. You stay at the door. If he needs anything while I'm not here, please help him." Osen instructed. "Liter is still a bit shy. If there's nothing wrong, don't disturb him in the room."

"Okay." Vivian nodded and then chuckled softly. "It seems that Master Osen cares more about Young Master Liter than Lord Lucius."

"Haha, after all, he has suffered for so long..."

...

On the other side, Liter sat in the room, recalling Osen's words, and blushed.

The journey today was quite bumpy, and she was indeed a bit tired.

Can she really lie on Osen's bed like this?

Thinking like this, Liter untied the laces of her boots, took them off and placed them by the bed, and laid down on the bed.

This large bed was extremely soft and comfortable, like heaven compared to the hard wooden bed in the countryside.

Lying on this bed, Liter felt as if her waist was sinking.

Then, she gently picked up the blanket and covered herself with it.

Her petite body curled up under the blanket, allowing it to cover her completely.

For some reason, Liter always felt a pleasant smell in the blanket, a smell that she had also smelled on Osen.

Unable to resist, she brought the blanket to her nose and sniffed carefully.

It was a refreshing fragrance, just smelling it made her feel calm and comfortable.

Then, realizing that her behavior was a bit crossing the line, Liter blushed and put down the blanket, lying on the bed to rest.

The fatigue of the day was relieved at this moment, and Liter slowly closed her eyes...
