In a dimly lit room, Arianne's face was slightly flushed and her breath slightly quickened. She lightly stroked Lorne's hot chest with her fingers, a slight smile curling at the corners of her mouth.

"You demons are truly special, your whole physical being is not much different from humans... Mmm, that's great. I was worried before that if your body structure was too unique, it might be a bit difficult to handle."

As she spoke, she revealed a devilish smile.

"Shall we do it a few more times?"

"Again?" Lorne was drenched in sweat, his throat emitting a burning and painful gasp. "Honestly, I have no strength left now, please spare me."

"That won't do, I still feel unsatisfied," Arianne obviously hadn't had enough. "Hmph, the benefits I'm giving you now are something many people dream of! It's a rare opportunity, you should be grateful."

She reached out her hand and forcefully grabbed Lorne's arm, leaving a vivid red mark.

"But continuing like this will kill me!" Lorne couldn't help but despairingly wail. "I'm in excruciating pain all over my body, I can't even stand straight anymore."

"It's alright, I have healing magic."

"Are you a devil?!"

"Alright, alright," Arianne helplessly spread out her hands. "Let's do it one last time. If your performance satisfies me, I'll temporarily let you go today."

Lorne seemed to see a glimmer of hope. He took a deep breath and clenched his teeth.

"Then, here I come... Concentrate, feel it with your heart!" Arianne said.

Smack!

She forcefully slapped Lorne's back with her left hand, making a clear sound.

A surge of heat spread throughout his body, and Lorne's muscles tightened instantly. His already scorching skin became even hotter, as if he were in a raging fire.

Then, Arianne raised her index finger with her right hand and gently shook it twice. From the other end of the room, a huge stone that was originally deeply embedded in the ground suddenly rose up and flew straight towards Lorne!

"Throw a punch!" Arianne reminded loudly.

But before her words could even land, Lorne had already made the corresponding move. Although his muscles were sore and his whole body felt weak, his punch still carried immense force!

Crack!

The stone shattered into pieces.

"Hey, not bad. You pass this time," Arianne clapped her hands, satisfied.

"Phew, it's finally over."

Lorne breathed a sigh of relief and shook his wrist, which was in almost numb pain.

... In fact, what they had just done was a very special method of training. Yes, that's right, nothing of a questionable nature happened.

"The feat of smashing boulders with one punch" was something the original Lorne could never do. This was all thanks to Arianne's assistance and guidance.

In general, human strength and speed have limits. In order to achieve abilities beyond the physical, one cannot rely solely on muscles, but should depend on special powers.

These powers have many different names—

psychic, magic, aura, essence.

But their essence is the same, whether it's humans, demi-humans, or monsters, these energies are contained within their bodies. Through direct physical contact, Arianne can help Lorne channel and unleash this energy.

"This guy, although he says he's a 'whip', he's actually helping me..." Lorne thought to himself.

...

After the training ended, Lorne tried to move his sore shoulders. But when he actually moved, the pain intensified, causing him to involuntarily suck in a breath of cold air.

"Don't move recklessly, you'll get hurt!" Arianne scolded. "Let me help you heal..."

Then, she silently chanted a few incantations.

A soft, pale yellow light enveloped Lorne's body, and he suddenly felt warm and relaxed. The soreness all over his body quickly subsided, and Lorne felt an unprecedented comfort.

"Alright, that's it for today. We'll continue tomorrow!" Arianne continued.

"Eh, we're still coming tomorrow?"

"Of course, you still have a long way to go! But don't worry, it won't feel so uncomfortable when you get used to it. Right now, the pain you're feeling is because you're still instinctively relying on your muscles."Arianne said, with full experience, "Only through extensive practice can your body form new habits, so you can't be lazy! From now on, I will closely supervise you every day!"

"Every day?" Lorne couldn't help but feel a tingling sensation on his scalp. "Is that really necessary?"

"Of course it is! As my slave, you can't afford to be weak! Your movements during the fight with Arnold were completely nonsensical, it was unbearable!" Arianne stood up straight, speaking seriously.

"Although you managed to dodge all the attacks, to be honest, it was just pure luck, wasn't it? Also, as a high-level magical creature, the energy within you is quite abundant, it would be a waste if you don't utilize it properly..."

Hmm... She has a point.

Lorne silently nodded.

Aside from everything else, as a Dungeon Master, I can't be weaker than my subordinates... Helena has become quite strong now, if I don't catch up, my authority will be undermined.

Although I didn't really have much authority to begin with.

"Besides, there's another reason," Arianne's expression suddenly turned serious. "You have already opened the 'Trial Path'. Without strong abilities, it won't be possible to reach the end."

...Trial Path.

That undefined term has appeared again.

Lorne sighed.

Actually, I've been wanting to ask. What exactly is this 'Trial Path'? I still have no clue... But, judging from Arnold's previous behavior, it should be quite something, right?"

Upon hearing these words, Arianne was momentarily stunned.

She raised her eyebrows in disbelief and exclaimed, "What? You don't know?... As a magical creature, how can you not know about the 'Trial Path'? Don't mess with me!"

"I really don't know," Lorne shook his head, looking puzzled.

"...Didn't any other magical creatures tell you?"

"To be honest, I haven't seen any other magical creatures before," Lorne said truthfully.

Arianne's shock became even more apparent.

She remained silent for a moment, then suddenly asked another question, "How old are you this year?"

"Seventeen," Lorne thought for a moment and replied. Of course, that was his age before he crossed over. In this world, he had only been living for half a year.

"I see," Arianne lightly bit her thumb, as if she had suddenly understood something. "Because you're a magical creature, I originally thought you must be several hundred years old... To think you're only seventeen, almost the same age as me! No wonder you don't know anything... In the standards of magical creatures, you're like a little baby."

As she said this, she stared at Lorne's face earnestly, took a deep breath, and said, "It seems like I'll have to take even better care of you in the future."

"Hey, why are you acting like a big sister? Weren't you just saying that we're around the same age?" Lorne shook his head, smiling bitterly, and said, "Let's get back on track. Can you please explain to me what this 'Trial Path' is all about?"

Arianne pondered for a moment, seemingly contemplating how to explain it properly.

"Alright, I'll get straight to the point. The Trial Path is a test that only the chosen magical creatures will experience. If you can successfully reach the end, you will become... 'The Demon King', the supreme and commanding evil entity that controls all demons!"
