Chapter 11: The Shining Dancer (Part 2)

After the match, it seemed like no one else was going to play, so Ryuto took the opportunity to challenge someone, and surprisingly, they agreed. Maybe it was because they had no one else to play with.

However, because Ryuto's account was just a beginner's level, other players around him mercilessly looked down on him.

So, amidst the disdainful gazes of those around him, the game began in the urban setting. Ryuto chose to appear on the rooftop, while his opponent chose the ground.

And then...

"Newbie, just leave the game."

"Don't embarrass yourself."

"Choosing the rooftop in this cityscape scene, you're definitely a newbie."

He was criticized again. What a disaster.

When the game started, the Shining Dancer moved as smoothly as she did in the previous match, swiftly taking out her targets. The audience immediately erupted in cheers.

"This match is definitely a complete victory."

"No suspense at all. The Shining Dancer is truly amazing."

"With that cheating-like skill, it's impossible for an average person to win."

Indeed, Ryuto couldn't perform those cheating-like moves, so he could only stand and shoot. Yes, just stand in one place and shoot. Then, a louder voice was heard.

"What's going on? The zombies are continuously being killed by bullets from an unknown source."

"Could it be the newbie? How did he defeat them?"

"He just stands in one place and always shoots in one direction. Could he be utilizing the bullet rebounds?"

"That's impossible. Even if he can hit the zombies by utilizing the bullet rebounds, how does he know their positions? Most of the line of sight is blocked by the tall buildings."

The spectators started discussing amongst themselves.

In reality, games have certain patterns. Ryuto simply used the locations where zombies appeared in the previous match for statistical analysis, and then made further speculations. He chose the location with the highest accuracy rate, and combined it with game sound and other information to predict the arrival location and timing of the zombies.

Although this may seem impossible to others, it becomes possible as long as certain conditions are met. Games are like that, they have no boundaries. At least that's how Ryuto sees it.

After preparing everything, all that was left was shooting. So, in the eyes of others, Ryuto was just continuously shooting.

Bullets were fired one after another from the gun, hitting the walls and causing the bullets to deviate significantly after each impact. After several rebounds, the bullets accurately hit the heads of the zombies, instantly killing them. The goal was to eliminate as many targets as possible with the fewest number of bullets.

Therefore, before the time ran out, all that could be seen in the scene were bullets flying everywhere and zombies continuously falling. The speed at which the zombies were being killed seemed to surpass their rate of reproduction. The battlefield lacked any signs of life, resembling a world of death.

It seemed like a new record was set afterwards, but Ryuto didn't really remember.

"That battle was really nostalgic."

The opponent seemed to recall the recent past as well.

"Do you know? I had never lost before I met you."

"No, I think you stopped playing in the middle."

"Well, that's true. I was already stunned by the scene in front of me. I had forgotten it was a competition and unconsciously stopped to admire it."

"So, if you hadn't stopped, you might not have necessarily lost."

"No, maybe it was because I believed I couldn't win at that time that I stopped."

"..."

What's going on? These two are reminiscing about such embarrassing past events. Acting like cultured youth.

Just as Ryuto was thinking this, a voice came from downstairs.

"Ryuto, dinner is ready."

"Alright, I'm coming down."

After responding, Ryuto sent a message.

"Let's play again tomorrow."

"I guess that's the only way."

After receiving a reply, Ryuto stood up and walked downstairs.
