“What? Big Brother Aya already has a child?!”
Back at the dinner table, Chirp’s sudden appearance gave Doris quite a shock. What was this? Why had he gone upstairs for just a little while and come back down with a child?
Could it be—could it be that this wicked woman had already done it with Big Brother…?
“No! Doris can’t accept this!”
“Who asked you to accept anything?!” the princess shot back, slapping the table with the icy, regal air of a queen. “That’s right, Chirp is my child with Aya. You’ve missed your chance. Now, begone, loser.”
Doris took a heavy blow. She slumped over the table, staring blankly into space in silence for about a minute. Then she sprang back up, pointed at Tiran’s nose, and shouted:
“Even so, Doris won’t give up! In the end, Doris just likes Big Brother Aya. She doesn’t care if Big Brother Aya already has a child! Besides, as long as Doris can have Big Brother Aya’s baby, she won’t be any worse than you!”
“My, my. To have two girls getting jealous over him like this… Our son really is a sinful man, isn’t he?” Miss Ruko rested her cheek in her hand and glanced sideways at Aya, who was busy eating beside her.
“Tch. I should’ve hit him harder before.” Anticas nudged the butter-fried fish on her plate with her fork and muttered to herself, sounding deeply regretful.
“…You’ve all gone far enough! Chirp is adopted! And you two, Mom and Dad—do you really have to keep stirring things up?!”
Aya finally slammed the table and jumped to his feet. The little Angel was probably the only one there who could still eat in peace…
“So Big Brother Aya hasn’t actually done it with this wicked woman?” Doris gazed up at Aya with wide, pleading eyes.
“Uh, well… K-kids shouldn’t have their minds on that sort of thing.” Aya was at a loss for words, so he tried to fob her off with something else.
“I told you, Doris isn’t a kid anymore! Doris can lay eggs now!”
“Cough, cough!” Aya nearly choked to death on his own saliva.
L-lay eggs? Aya glanced at the adorable red-haired girl in her human form and couldn’t help imagining it…
No! That’s way too lewd!
“Heh heh heh! Aya and I have already forged a fated pact that can only end in death. You lot, you stray dogs with nowhere to go, can stop coveting what belongs to me.”
The princess suddenly went full chuuni, spreading the fingers of her left hand over her face as she let out a string of cold laughs. It made Doris furious.
“Doris will definitely take Big Brother back from you!” The girl clenched her fists and swore through gritted teeth.
“Then come and try, if you can.”
After a day of chaos, Aya’s parents and a certain little red dragon who was lusting after Aya’s body moved into the villa too. With seven people in all, they filled every room perfectly, and daily life on vacation seemed to settle back into a peaceful routine.
Goldcoast really was a scenic place. The only downside was that the vast amount of seawater Anticas had hauled into the sky meant it rained nonstop for the next several days.
—Worse still, that rain was seawater that had been lifted straight into the sky and then fallen right back down. So much seawater soaked into the soil that it seriously affected farming across the whole region.
“Ugh… It’s all that old man’s fault. Even the apple peel is salty…”
“Maybe we should buy some pineapples? After getting rained on like this, we probably won’t need to soak them in salt water anymore, right?” Tiran said casually, munching on a peach.
“How would that even work?”
The day after Aya’s parents moved in, the heavy rain was still going, though the clouds seemed to have thinned out quite a bit.
Even so, they couldn’t go play at the beach or out on the sea. Apart from checking that the members of the dragon-slaying party were still alive after treatment, Aya and Tiran spent most of their time indoors.
Under normal circumstances, Miss Tiran didn’t mind staying in, either. A vacation wasn’t the same as sightseeing; the point was to relax, not to go running around everywhere. Staying under the eaves, listening to the rain and cuddling Aya to sleep sounded nice, too.
The problem was that with a certain someone around, there was absolutely no way to relax.
As it turned out, the consequences of provoking someone on a whim could easily go beyond what you expected. So it was better to be kind and keep the peace…
After reading by the window for over an hour that afternoon, Miss Tiran smoothly rolled all the way to her bed for a nap. She naturally pulled Aya, who’d been fast asleep in bed since lunch, into her arms like a body pillow and drifted off.
When she opened her eyes again, the princess felt something cool and hard against her cheek.
“Huh? The wooden floor?”
Thinking she’d rolled off the bed in her sleep, she was about to climb back under the covers when she noticed someone else lying in bed beside Aya.
“Hehehe… Big Brother Aya… Doris loves you the most…”
“Get your ass out of my bed!”
There was no way Tiran’s short temper would let this slide. She climbed onto the bed barefoot and kicked Doris off. But the girl was holding Aya so tightly that he got dragged along and tumbled onto the floor, too.
“Ow, ow, ow… What happened?”
Aya, who’d kissed the floor with his head, climbed back up looking bewildered. Then he spotted Doris still clinging tightly to him, and his face suddenly cleared with understanding.
“Doris, be good and don’t sneak into my bed while I’m asleep again.”
“No! Why can Big Brother sleep with this wicked woman, but not with Doris?”
“Because, because—”
Aya thought for a few seconds, then raised one finger. “Because I really like her, and Big Sister Tiran isn’t a wicked woman.”
“Well, Doris really likes Big Brother, too! So Doris can sleep with Big Brother!”
“Both people have to like each other for that…”
Forced to explain this to a kid, Aya was at his wit’s end.
“Does Big Brother not like Doris?” The girl’s lips quivered, as if she were about to burst into tears.
“Well…”
Looking into Doris’s big, watery eyes, Aya found it incredibly hard to say the word “hate” to her face. And honestly, who wouldn’t like a cute girl with a soft, delicate body?
To be honest, if she weren’t lusting after Aya’s body, always thinking about laying eggs, and planning to act on it, even our Miss Tiran would probably be lusting after Doris’s body… What a pervert.
“Miss Tiran, what should I do? I think she’s kind of convincing me.”
Aya turned to Tiran for help.
“Don’t let her convince you!”
The princess folded her arms and glared at the girl, who’d started looking smug, convinced she had a point. Then she raised a fist and punched her on the head.
This world belongs to those with sharp tongues, and it belongs to those with strong fists. But in the end, it still belongs to those with strong fists. As Lu Xun said.
After silently repeating that to herself, Tiran pinned Doris’s head between both fists and ground away until the girl howled like a banshee.
