Act 184: A Sudden Arrival from the North...

"So boring."

When the first ray of morning sunlight pierced through the dim sky, the lights on the top floor of the silent and dark Gilliast Castle's main tower suddenly lit up.

The person wrapped in a thin velvet quilt struggled to turn over and slowly sat up, propping herself up with her arms. The strap of her shoulder gown slipped down, revealing a snowy white shoulder. Her drowsy eyes stared blankly at the wall in front of her, with a faint trace of dried saliva at the corner of her mouth.

Princess Tiran's sleeping posture had never been elegant.

She turned her head to look at the sky outside the French window. The slightly whitening horizon had only a few specks of morning light poking through the clouds, reflecting faintly on the floor covered in dew.

"It's still early..."

If it were in the past, Tiran would have happily wrapped herself in the quilt again and go back to sleep – although she didn't know why, but there was always an inexplicable sense of happiness when she woke up early in the morning and found that there was still plenty of time to sleep.

With a thud, Tiran spread her arms and leaned backwards, burying her head into the soft pillow, but she couldn't fall back asleep no matter what.

Still staring at the canopy above, Tiran unconsciously raised her right leg and kicked towards the side, but only kicked through empty air.

What... isn't that guy here? Wasn't he always clingy and trying to crawl up? It's rare for him to be a little obedient today.

Although she thought so, Tiran always felt like something was missing in her heart.

After a while, her brain gradually regained its ability to think.

Right, that dumb dragon went to the southern swamp for a mission, and it had been days since he left.

"So why can't I fall asleep?" Since she couldn't sleep anyway, Tiran turned over and sat up, barefooted, and walked to the dressing mirror, taking off her sleeping gown.

The sleepiness that usually couldn't be chased away seemed to have collectively gone on vacation. She searched through her mind without finding any trace of it. Tsk, useless, when she didn't need them, they were everywhere, but when it was time for them to be useful, they had disappeared without a trace.

Well, actually Tiran knew the reason deep down, and it wasn't because of that stupid dragon.

She didn't know when it started, but she seemed to have gotten used to having that guy around every day, whether in daily life or in battle. But it was only after the brawl with Sainz and temporarily losing her power, that her dependence on him became more apparent. But that kind of dependence should have started much earlier...

Thunk.

Tiran suddenly raised her hand into a fist and forcefully hit the dressing mirror in front of her.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch!"

Then she kept blowing on her hand with tears in her eyes. Damn it, when would she ever have a chance to say "ouch" in normal circumstances? The mirror would have broken a long time ago.

With a rather helpless sigh, Tiran changed her clothes and came to the balcony with a desolate expression.

Hate it.

Really hate it.

Hate this weak and powerless version of herself.

If it were in the past, Tiran having such thoughts would have been almost inconceivable. After all, before coming to this world, she had lived and studied as an ordinary person for more than twenty years. Punching down a building, for example, only existed in virtual works. Even if she lost her power, she should have just temporarily returned to that kind of life.

But Tiran still subconsciously felt resentful. If she still had her power, if she were still the Silver War Maiden, would she still constantly think about that stupid dragon?

Speaking of which, considering the distance, that guy should be in the swamp by now, right? Will he encounter any trouble? With her abilities, there shouldn't be any threats in a swamp at that level, right? The thing that troubled her the most should be the dirty mud.

Imagine Aya staring at the endless, foul-smelling swamp with a headache, Tiran couldn't help but laugh.

But when he heard that their mission was to defeat a witch... Tiran's face instantly turned dark. Those witches, aren't they the ones who are beautiful, mature, and always trying to seduce men?

It was a miscalculation. How did he not think of this at the time? What if that guy couldn't resist the temptation and did something despicable?

Silver War Maiden, the princess, fell into deep melancholy.

...

Early in the morning, in the castle corridor, the diligent little Angel was happily mopping the floor.

"You... you're really a demon, aren't you?!"

Correction, not happy at all.

Fiona was about to cry. Mopping the entire castle corridor by herself? It wouldn't be enough even if she had three days! This demon was going too far. He was definitely tormenting her on purpose!

"Hey, don't pretend to be a victim. Do you know who made a mess in the kitchen in the middle of the night and caused headaches for the chefs? Do you know how much trouble you caused?" Mimi showed no sympathy, crossed her arms, and coldly spoke from behind.

"Finish it by this afternoon, or you won't have dinner."

"What...?!"

With those words, Mimi turned and left. Lately, the princess seemed to be having trouble sleeping, so she should go and check if she woke up.

Left alone, little Fiona stood in place with tears in her eyes, holding the mop and bucket.

Sniff, sniff, it's so frustrating! Why does she, as a goddess warrior, have to listen to the orders of a mere underworld demon like this? What's so great about that guy... it's just dinner!

But being hungry really made her feel uncomfortable...

After pondering for a while, little Angel reluctantly picked up the mop and started vigorously mopping the floor.

"It's been a while, little Nana. How have you been?" At that moment, a familiar voice unexpectedly sounded in her ear, causing little Angel's eyes to widen in surprise. Without thinking, she took a step forward and accidentally kicked over a bucket nearby.

...

"Stop, this path is closed."

Outside the castle gate, Beinrich furrowed his brows and blocked the figure slowly approaching in front of him with his large sword.

It was a woman, dressed in a simple white dress, walking barefoot without shoes. Her feet were untouched by any dirt, yet her face... gave Beinrich a strange feeling.

He clearly saw her face, so why did it always feel blurry and undefined? It's hard to say if it's beautiful or ugly, and it's even difficult to leave an impression. It seems like he would forget it the next second if she turned her head.

"I have come from the far north and wish to see the princess. Rest assured, I mean no harm." She spoke softly.

"Whether you mean harm or not, stop and surrender. This is the forbidden territory of the royal family." Beinrich felt a sense of unease.

Several days ago, he and Shuma's men had turned the castle and its surroundings upside down. There were no spies left, not even a single mouse. After that, the guards in the castle took turns to be on duty, including carefully arranged patrol shifts. It was almost impossible to reach here without being detected.

Today, the most highly skilled Dark Knight in the Hidden Shadow Organization was patrolling outside, and one of the teams was led by Shuma. With their personalities, they would never allow such a strange woman to safely approach the castle's main gate.

"It seems like you're worried," the woman lightly laughed. "Are you worried...about her?"

As she lifted her hand, a golden light barrier appeared instantaneously beside her, freezing time in the cubic space. The female knight in armor remained standing, holding her sword horizontally, resembling an exquisite sculpture.

"Release her!"

The heavy sword descended, and Beinrich unleashed his Chi, transforming it into a meteor falling towards the woman in white.

Then he saw a dazzling light.

After a moment, someone knocked on the door of the princess's bedroom.

"Hello, Your Highness. Good morning. I have been looking forward to meeting you~"

"Who the hell are you?"

Tiran, who was halfway through eating breakfast on the terrace, sprayed the coffee in her mouth, making a mess all over the intruder's face.

"...," said a certain goddess, covered in coffee.

This was the first encounter between the Goddess and the Silver War Maiden.

The Goddess refrained from invoking the heavenly punishment to blast this mischievous child away for a full five minutes. Then, in three seconds, she explained her origins.

"I am a Goddess."

"Oh."

"You...didn't hear it clearly? I am the Goddess of the Light! The deity that humans believe in!"

"Got it, got it. Goddess of the Light, right? If you have something to say, say it quickly."

"Aren't you surprised?" The goddess felt that as a human, upon hearing that the person in front of them was a divine being, there should be a slightly more excited reaction, either shocked or unbelieving! What does this expression, as if seeing the next-door neighbor, mean? It hurts me!

"I would be on regular days, but I'm in a bad mood today."

Tiran waved her hand in annoyance, still thinking about Aya. "So, hurry up and speak."

"Oh...well, something big is happening in the Dark Swamp lately. There is a strong resurgence of monsters. My other fiery Angels are busy, so I want to send little Nana to suppress it."

"Fine. Is that all? Then hurry up and leave." The princess impatiently waved her hand.

"Oh...and, when I came in earlier, I temporarily imprisoned your subordinates with spatial and temporal restraints. It will automatically unlock later, but because of my divine status, they won't retain any memory of me..." The goddess' expression was subtle, but she continued speaking.

"I understand, I understand. It's not a big deal anyway. If there's nothing else, leave quickly."

Tiran shooed her away like a fly.

And so, with a resentful expression, the Goddess vanished on the spot.

...

...

........................................After that, a long time passed.

It was only until noon when the princess felt hungry and snapped out of her half-dazed, half-trance state.

"Phew...that felt awful. My head is spinning. What was that just now? Astral projection?" Tiran stood up, feeling dizzy and holding her head in pain.

"By the way, someone seemed to have come to see me? What was their name again?...Goddess, Your Highness? Such a strange name."

"..."

Wait, what? What? Holy shit!!!

Is that Her Majesty the Goddess?! The goddess?!

The princess suddenly realized that she had apparently done something incredibly awesome before.
