"Get up!" Bexia reached out to Talisa on the ground and said, "I'm not bullying you, I'm teaching you to be careful when you're out and about."
"Especially girls, should be extra cautious about accepting things from others."
"It was clearly you tricking me!" Talisa grabbed Bexia's hand to get up, but suddenly increased her grip on it, then used her legs like scissors to trap Bexia's neck, flipping him over onto the ground.
"Now I'll teach you a lesson too - women can hold grudges!" Talisa said smugly.
"You deceived me!" Talisa, upon standing up, realized something was off. She was wearing leather pants, how could she have seen anything? It was obviously a trick, and she had actually believed it.
So she lifted her long leg and kicked towards Bexia.
"Slap!" Bexia effortlessly grabbed her leg, lifted it to the side and said, "Don't try that again! Or I'll leave you hanging here overnight!"
"Tsk~!"
Realizing she might not be a match for Bexia, Talisa gritted her teeth in frustration, turned her head away in disdain, finding him infuriating to look at.
Ignoring Bexia, Talisa's eyes landed on the Golden Lion lying nearby. She subconsciously asked Bexia, "Is the Golden Lion dead?"
"No, just fainted!" Bexia walked to the lion's side and patted its head, saying.
"What if it wakes up?"
"If it wakes up, it wakes up. What else?" A mere beast, not even a king, Bexia could kill with a single glance.
"What? Are you interested in this guy?" Bexia asked with interest. "How about making it your pet?"
"Really? Can I?" Talisa's eyes lit up. She had loved the Golden Lion since she was young, but such a powerful beast was impossible for her to catch or tame.
"Swoosh!" Bexia flicked his finger at the lion's forehead, instantly creating a palm-sized formation. He looked at Talisa and said, "Put your hand on it, and you'll form a contract with it."
"Can I really?" Talisa asked, a bit unsure.
"Try it and you'll see." Seeing Talisa's childlike expression, Bexia grabbed her hand and pressed it on the formation, which shrank and disappeared, leaving her hand on the lion's forehead.
"!!!" The lion's huge pupils suddenly opened wide. It leaped up and fixed its gaze on Talisa. After a moment of staring, the lion slowly lay down, allowing Talisa to timidly touch its mane, then happily bury her face in it.
"Really! The Golden Lion is now my companion!" Talisa was ecstatic, behaving like a child, bouncing around the lion.
"Thank you!" Talisa bowed gratefully to Bexia.
"No problem!" Bexia smiled and nodded, considering it a reward for the help Talisa had provided him these days.
Talisa named the Golden Lion Tymis; she was so excited that she didn't sleep all night and already had faint black eye makeup in the morning.
With Tymis, they now had a means of transportation. What was supposed to take over a day to reach was reached half a day early, but the presence of the golden lion caused a stir in the normally calm city of Gaer.
The Golden Lion was very well-known in Gaer City, as they had been neighbors for a long time. Some of Gaer's hunters had even seen the lion before, considering it a nightmare-like presence.
The front gate drawbridge of Gaer City was raised upon spotting the Golden Lion approaching, with soldiers on the twenty-meter-high city wall, poised with numerous arrows ready to fire at any moment.
"You're drawing quite the attention coming home, aren't you?" Sitting on the back of the Golden Lion, Bexia had already noticed the commotion on the city wall.
"What should I do? Should I just sneak back without Tymis?" Talisa turned to look at Bexia, with a look that seemed to say, 'What else can I do?'
To avoid any misunderstandings, Talisa chose a better way, standing on top of the lion's head to make herself stand out more.
"Look... is that a person?"
"There's someone on the Golden Lion's back?!"
"Indeed, there is!"
"Looks familiar..."
"Yeah, I think so too!"
"What familiar or not familiar, that's the Princess!" A voice came from behind the soldiers, with a man in silver armor walking towards them.
"Open the gates to welcome back the Princess!"
"Yes, sir!" The soldiers nodded quickly, lowered the drawbridge, and quickly lined up neatly at the city gate. The princess had been missing for months, and their king was extremely worried!
"You're actually a princess?!" Bexia heard the conversation from a distance, looking at Talisa quizzically.
"Don't I look like one?"
