Bexia felt a familiar power from the scar on the giant skull, a power that he certainly wouldn't mistake for anything else – it was the power of the dark god.
Encountering the power of the dark god here was a complete surprise for Bexia. So, he hastened his pace using the power of space and continued his exploration in the universe.
"How is this possible? Have I really reached the edge of the universe?" Bexia looked at the blank space ahead, the complete "void" where absolutely nothing existed – the legendary edge of the universe.
Bexia was shocked beyond words. Considering his own speed, the distance he had crossed in all this time might not even amount to a dimensional world of millions. And yet, here he was, standing at the very edge of the universe!
"What's going on? How could the universe shrink like this?" Bexia was puzzled. But soon, he noticed that the boundary of the universe was gradually shrinking. Although it seemed to be progressing slowly, it represented a terrifying message.
In theory, the edge of the universe should always be expanding, which is why the universe has the possibility of being boundless. But the current situation was the exact opposite – it was contracting, and the only explanation for this was that the universe was entering a stage of destruction.
This was something Bexia had learned from Luo Chen – that the universe continuously expands from the birth of a new universe, much like the growth of humanity itself. However, when the universe enters the stage of annihilation, it ceases to expand and instead begins to contract. Energy starts to diminish, and the laws of nature retreat into deeper layers, becoming increasingly harder to comprehend. And this situation was in complete alignment with everything Bexia had encountered along the way, requiring no further proof.
Bexia continued to roam the universe, almost covering its entirety. Yet, he found no trace of life anywhere, except for the world he had landed on before. It seemed like there was no second world teeming with life in the universe.
"Why are there so many remains here?" Bexia was suddenly drawn to a scene on a massive star. The star was littered with broken skeletons, and much like the skull he had encountered earlier, these remains also bore the presence of the power of the dark god.
Following this direction, Bexia came across more and more remains. They all shared a common feature – the residual presence of the power of the dark god, which was not their own strength but a consequence of being corroded by that power.
"Was there a massive battle here? How can there be so many remains?"
"Hmm? What's ahead...?" After advancing for a long time, Bexia finally saw a black door at the edge of the universe. It was riddled with cracks, and several huge corpses maintained their positions in a joint attack before their deaths.
"This is the mark of the dark god!" Bexia couldn't be mistaken. The black door was the handiwork of the dark god. Although the door had been destroyed, the residual power of the dark god lingered, and from the gruesome surroundings, it seemed that numerous powerful beings had died in the attempt to break this door leading to the realm of the dark god.
After standing still for a long time, Bexia probably had an idea of what had occurred here. The dark god had invaded this universe, and many powerful beings had attempted to repel the invasion. While they had successfully shattered the "door" leading to the dark god's universe, the beings of this universe had almost been wiped out. In the end, only a small planet in a remote corner remained.
He had returned here to search for useful information, knowing that since this was the only world teeming with life, there might be remnants or survivors who had fought against the dark god!
Blue Star – a primitive world beyond the reach of technology. Bexia could easily destroy this planet at will. He released his consciousness to perceive, and indeed, the aura of an immortal god responded to him.
"Who are you?" A pink-haired girl appeared with a sword and shield in hand, clad in golden armor, eyes fixed on Bexia as if facing a formidable adversary.
"I mean no harm. I just want to know what's happening in the universe. Can you tell me?" Bexia inquired.
"Why should I believe you?" she responded.
"You're not my match at all, and I have no interest in fighting you. Just answer my questions, and that'll be enough," Bexia assured her.
"Heh, you sure talk big. Let me show you how I can take you down!" Without further ado, the girl charged towards Bexia. However, reality is harsh, and her attempt was futile. Bexia quickly seized her hand as she tried to strike him, immobilizing both her hands and binding her with a chain capable of restraining even deities.
"I told you, you're no match for me. Now, can you talk?" Bexia clapped his hands, satisfied with his own skills, as he watched the girl squirming on the ground like a caterpillar.
"Let me go!" The girl glared at him with wide eyes, a look that seemed to say she could devour him.
"Do you realize your current situation? You're my captive now. Answer my questions, or... hehe!" Bexia grinned mischievously, evoking a sense of fear in the girl, who instinctively moved backward.
