Bexia searched all over for un-hatched crystals to inspect. However, after searching in circles, he did not find Sakuya's figure, which made him suspect that perhaps Sakuya had already been devoured by the space-time creatures, and now there was not even a trace left to be found.
Thinking of this, Bexia couldn't help but feel sorrowful for Sakuya. She was not a lucky girl to begin with, and now being eaten by space creatures, her fate was truly tragic.
"Let's go deeper and take a look!" Bexia sighed, speaking of Sakuya in a rather fond manner. After all, she was a very cute girl, but...
Bexia didn't dwell on his thoughts further. Step by step, he approached the interior of the space-time creatures' nest and realized that there weren't many creatures inside. Apart from a few patrol creatures, there seemed to be no other space-time beings present.
"Hmm?!" Suddenly, Christine expressed doubt.
"Master! Is there something ahead?" Christine inquired.
"Oh!" Bexia looked in the direction indicated and saw a small group of space-time creatures lined up, carrying containers made of crystals in a particular direction.
Inside these crystal containers were black and white liquids, and the pair of space-time creatures were flying in a black-white sequence, exactly opposite to each other.
"Should we go and take a look?" Christine asked.
"Of course!" Bexia nodded and immediately followed this pair of space-time creatures.
The things transported by this group of space-time creatures seemed to be very important. Along the way, whenever they encountered patrolling space-time creatures, the latter automatically made way to ensure their smooth passage.
Following these transporting space-time creatures, Bexia was surprised to find that their destination was the largest crystal inside the nest. Upon reaching there, the group of space-time creatures immediately poured the liquid from their crystal containers into the largest crystal.
The surroundings were empty. After the group of transporting space-time creatures left, Bexia, fueled by curiosity, flew above this massive crystal. When he saw the situation inside, his pupils involuntarily contracted because within the huge crystal container, he saw the figure of Sakuya.
Although time had passed and Sakuya had grown considerably, her originally delicate and adorable face now bore a somewhat adolescent countenance, but there was still a strong resemblance to how she looked before, not to mention he had just seen images of her.
Sakuya's body was submerged in the alternating black and white liquid. Upon closer inspection, Bexia discovered that these liquids contained significant space-time power. Sakuya, submerged in them, was still alive but had drifted into unconsciousness due to prolonged exposure to the space-time energy.
Scanning the interior of the massive crystal container, Bexia did not spot any other space-time creatures. Carefully approaching Sakuya, who was floating on the liquid's surface, he lifted her body out of the liquid. Gently attempting to rouse her, but to no avail, he decided to carry her away from there.
"You've returned!" Bexia had just revealed himself when Shitian noticed him. Upon seeing the figure he held in his arms, Shitian, somewhat surprised, inquired, "You've rescued her?"
To be honest, Shitian had long known what was inside those crystals, but had not directly disclosed it. In its view, Sakuya had undoubtedly become food for those space-time creatures. However, it did not anticipate that Bexia would actually rescue her and that her life signs were stable.
"I found her inside a large crystal, and these space-time creatures were up to something below, soaking her in many liquids containing space-time power..." Bexia explained briefly. However, upon hearing this, Shitian's expression suddenly changed, and he immediately said, "We need to leave quickly!"
"What's wrong, Senior Shitian?"
"This girl must have a special role with the space-time creatures. Now that you've rescued her, if they find out, it'll be troublesome!" Shitian calmly stated.
"Let's go first and talk on the way."
"Alright!" Without further questions, Bexia carried Sakuya's delicate figure into the air, closely following Shitian's steps.
"If I'm not mistaken, this girl definitely has a unique constitution!" Shitian said as he exhaled a wisp of flame onto Sakuya. One reason was to check her physical condition and the other was to see if there was anything else within her body, such as space-time creature eggs!
"Her constitution indeed appears special, as she can slowly absorb space-time power!" After a thorough examination, Shitian confirmed that Sakuya's body, after ruling out any parasites, only strengthened its previous assumptions.
"May I ask what Senior Shitian suspects?" Bexia inquired.
"I suspect these space-time creatures are cultivating an advanced parasite, most likely for use by certain high-level space-time creatures!" Shitian voiced his conjecture. Bexia, nodding in agreement, found the possibility quite plausible. Indeed, this might be the case.
Shitian's guess turned out to be true, but what he did not anticipate was that the space-time creatures, originally existing in this spatial rift, had no natural enemies, resulting in significant vulnerabilities in their defense. Despite the continual transport of black and white liquids, they had not noticed the situation inside the crystal, unaware that the parasite had disappeared. Perhaps only when their King returned could they find out? But that was a story for another time!
