"Do you know the origin of these mummies, Axiang?" Bexia asked curiously.

"Of course, and if you ask them, they would know too!" Luo Cailing glanced at Bexia, then clasped her hands together and bowed to the mummies. Luo Ningxian did the same beside her.

"What are you all doing?" Bexia was puzzled.

"The Huaxu Clan is the oldest human clan on the Pangu supercontinent, the ancestor of all human clans. Even Lord Pangu himself was born within the Huaxu Clan!" Luo Cailing explained.

"Unfortunately, the Huaxu Clan has long since disappeared."

"These mummies don't seem human, right?" Bexia pointed at the lower body of the mummies, where it was evident that they had snake tails coiled there.

"The Huaxu Clan has the blood of dragons and snakes. This is related to their cultivation methods. Does it mean they have to be like us to be considered human?" Luo Cailing rolled her eyes in exasperation.

"Most likely, these are Huaxu Clan members who unfortunately died here during the ancient war. But even after all these years, they still provide us protection!" Yue said, looking at the Huaxu Clan mummies.

"Perhaps it was just a coincidence!" Bexia looked at the oil lamp held high by the Huaxu Clan, curious. "This oil lamp is incredible, it can resist the surrounding divine storms!"

This was Bexia's personal experience. Even the power left by Luo Chen could only offset the force of the divine storms, but the flame from the oil lamp could actually drive away the surrounding divine storms and create a stable safe space. This method was quite powerful.

"You know nothing. This is the unique heritage of the Huaxu Clan, passed down from generation to generation without interruption. Have you heard of this legendary eternal flame?" Luo Cailing looked at Bexia disdainfully.

"It is said that every Huaxu Clan member has such an oil lamp. When they know their end is near, they concentrate all their strength into creating a special lamp oil infused with their power to sustain the burning flame!"

"This flame is a form of inheritance, containing the essence of each generation's owner of the lamp. Obtaining this oil lamp is akin to inheriting a vast ancient legacy!"

"So, does this mean we've struck it rich?" Bexia never expected that such a small oil lamp held so much information.

"Hmph! If you can take it, then take it!" Luo Cailing said with a disdainful tone. "Do you think just anyone can inherit the Huaxu Clan's eternal flame?"

"We have so many people here, why don't we all try? There's nothing to lose anyway!" Bexia said with a smile.

"Then you go first!" Luo Cailing said.

"All right, I'll go first!" Bexia grinned, but stood dumbfounded in front of the oil lamp after walking up to it.

"What's wrong?" Yue asked curiously.

"I'm considering what to do next," Bexia said, stroking her chin with a pensive look.

"Haha! Are you daft? Just put your hand into the flame, isn't that obvious? Are you trying to make me laugh?" Luo Cailing doubled over in laughter, finding Bexia's behavior amusing.

"Oh, it's that simple!" Bexia said and then plunged her palm into the flames of the oil lamp.

Although it was a flame, there was no burning sensation. Bexia only felt a faint warmth on her palm. Even after leaving it there for a while, there was no reaction. She even dipped her fingers into the lamp oil, feeling as if she was touching air.

The lamp oil of this eternal flame seemed intangible and untouchable, which was quite extraordinary!

"Enough! If you don't get the recognition of the eternal flame, don't force it!" Luo Cailing said, pulling her back.

"I don't know how long it takes to inherit..." Bexia scratched her nose awkwardly.

"You try it!" Bexia nodded at Luo Cailing.

"Watch me!" Luo Cailing replied arrogantly and proceeded to put her finger into the eternal flame.

However, it seemed that her situation wasn't any better than Bexia's. After a moment, there was still no response from the flame.

"It seems you're not getting a response either!" Bexia chuckled.

"Not getting a response is normal. After all, this is the ancient inheritance flame of the Huaxu Clan. How could it be inherited so easily?" Luo Cailing explained confidently.

"Why don't you try, Xian?" Luo Cailing looked back at Luo Ningxian.

"Sure!" Luo Ningxian smiled. She didn't really care about inheriting the eternal flame; she was just playing along.

"Hmm...?" Luo Ningxian hesitated for a moment in front of the oil lamp, then extended a finger into the eternal flame. The flame rippled slightly as if touched by a gentle breeze.

"Buzz, buzz, buzz!" The surrounding area where the flame illuminated began to sway, as if the space itself was vibrating.

"Ah, there's a reaction!" Luo Cailing exclaimed excitedly.

Before her words could fully sink in, the surroundings became very blurry. When they regained their senses, they found themselves among a group of people dressed strangely.

It seemed they were on a sacrificial platform. An elderly man in simple cloth was holding what seemed to be a newborn baby on the altar. Below, a dozen or so Huaxu Clan members dressed in animal skins were prostrating as if worshiping the figure on the altar.

"Woo, woo, woo!" The tall guards on either side of the altar blew their horns!
