Chapter 33 Messy Market

High-quality star cores are extremely precious materials, and Bexia couldn't imagine their rarity. It's not that they have such great practical value in themselves, but rather because they are so scarce. Driven by the concept of rarity equals value, the price of star cores is terrifyingly high, especially those above rank ten, whose value is no less than that of an eternal-grade artifact!

After searching through the platform of the Ancient Academy once, Bexia reluctantly disconnected from the network. To be honest, there were many good things, but not many that could actually be used.

It could be said that this trip to the Ancient Academy seemed to have accomplished nothing, and they had wasted ten thousand law fragments.

After contacting Lian and Yue, who had suddenly disappeared, only Lian returned in the end. Yue, on the other hand, mysteriously vanished, leaving Bexia puzzled.

Settling down in a temporary hotel in the city of Dawn, Bexia and the others were preparing for the next step, heading to the city of Chenguang to send Conesy for studies, as that was the true location of the Ancient Academy. Bexia himself also felt the need to settle down and cultivate, as he was not lacking in resources - only time and insight.

"I heard you're searching for star cores again. I suggest you visit a certain place, you might find something valuable!" Lian interjected as she listened to Bexia discussing their plans.

"Where should we go?" Bexia inquired.

"The chaotic market! Don't you know about it?" Lian said matter-of-factly.

"I don't know. How about you show us, Lian?" Bexia had never heard of a market in the Ancient Academy, as private trading seemed prohibited here, with all item transactions seemingly conducted through the academy's network platform.

"Perfect timing, I'll take you there. You might get your hands on something good!" Lian said with a smile.

The place Lian mentioned was on the edge of the city of Dawn, near the border with the outside world, despite the crisis in the wasteland. However, as mentioned before, those were the battlefields of the gods, where fallen gods' remains lay. Therefore, many people would venture there to search for treasures.

Items found on the continent of Wuhuang were different from others due to the special nature of the continent. Items left over the years would be obscured by something called Law Dust, even eternal-grade gods couldn't see through items obscured by Law Dust. Only the Traceless Light, produced in Star Sea, could wash away the Law Dust.

Because of this, a unique profession arose on Wuhuang called "scavenger," who would search for various remnants on the continent and then sell them. The primary market was near the city of Dawn.

As Bexia chatted with Lian, he quickly understood the situation. In essence, it was a casino, where buyers spent money to gamble on the value of their purchases. If the value far exceeded the purchase price, then it was a big win. Of course, many times it ended up as a loss, as over the long years and past battles, very few things had survived. Even if there were some, they were mostly broken and of little value!

Of course, there were good things as well. Genuine equipment and props were rare to come by, but many fallen gods imprinted their heritage on the items they had used, so the real treasures were these legacies, which were far more valuable than any artifact.

Following Lian through the green belt on the edge of the city of Dawn, even though it had been a while since she'd been there, she still knew the situation quite well. Leading Bexia and the others accurately, she entered the market area enveloped by an array.

There's no name here, but if one must define it, then let's call it the Tao Bao Market. Unlike Brophar, it's not as upscale, but more like an ordinary marketplace, with numerous long streets where Tao Baos display things they've found in the desolate continent for sale in front of them!

"It's so chaotic!" Bexia looked around at the scene, various voices overlapping, all sorts of items of different sizes haphazardly placed, especially those obscured by the dust of rules looked shabby, just like the junk in a garbage heap, making it seem like a large rubbish dump.

"Let's wander around and see if we can find something valuable!" Lian said with a smile.

"Okay!" Bexia nodded, and the others naturally had no objections.

"Lucifer, can you see anything special?" Bexia suddenly asked. Lucifer was almost at the level of surpassing eternal gods. Previously, Lian only mentioned the ability to deceive the perception of eternal gods, but who knows if the Creator God could see through it!

"It's difficult, unless I use the power of creation to dissolve the dust of rules, otherwise it's hard for me to really see through it!" Lucifer replied.

"However, when I fully transcend eternity and achieve creation, maybe I should be able to see through the obscuring power of the dust of rules!"

"Then I look forward to you breaking through creation!" Bexia said with a smile. Since Lucifer couldn't see through it now, he didn't have many thoughts. Might as well just treat it like a normal shopping trip.

"If you want to buy something, try your luck yourselves. Since there's nothing else to do, just consider it a good outing!" Bexia said to the people around.

"Does that mean I'm included too?" Lian suddenly leaned on Bexia's back and asked.

"What are you doing?!" Bexia was startled, and a cold light flashed in Lucifer's eyes beside her, but quickly subsided.
