Christine's words were sharp and lacking in any kind of mercy, but they were a statement of fact. This fact wasn't lost on Lucifer either, as she didn't have a battleship of her own. Not because she didn't need one, but simply because she couldn't find a ship that suited her after the Eternal-class and the Immortal-class ships weren't really helpful to her.
"I…" Conesy was left speechless after hearing Christine's words because she too understood that what Christine said was true. She was originally just a plan for an Immortal-class ship, and even though she had some data from Immortal-class ships, it didn't really amount to much.
Despite Conesy now having the body of an Immortal-class ship, she was essentially just an empty shell. Even though she used a lot of precious materials, from many perspectives, she was still no better than the most basic Immortal-class ship!
"Alright! Christine, enough said. If Conesy is unwilling, let it go. I don't like to force anything!" Bexia stopped the conversation.
"No! Master!" Conesy was a decisive person, and after thinking for a moment, she understood the implications behind Christine's words. Particularly after Lucifer appeared, this could signify that Bexia's steps wouldn't just stop at Immortal-class, but would advance to a higher level.
And as Bexia's ship, Conesy didn't want to fall behind Bexia's progress. If she couldn't keep up with Bexia, even if she wasn't eliminated by Bexia, she wouldn't have any reason to stay by Bexia's side!
Just as Conesy had experienced before, failing to keep pace with the times would lead to being left behind, unable to compare with the empire's advanced ships. Many of her siblings were dismantled, with only a few like her becoming test subjects!
Conesy didn't want to relive her past fate, so she made a decision that could change everything!
"I want to study at the Ancient Academy. I don't want to be obsolete!" Conesy said firmly.
"Let's all go together, there's no restriction anyway. Let each of us have a proof!" Bexia smiled, sensing that something seemed off with Conesy and thus making the suggestion.
"Master's wishes will be followed by all qualified maidens!" Lucifer said.
"You don't have to force yourself, Lucifer. You can refuse if you don't want to!" As a soon-to-be god of creation, getting a small student ID seemed a bit beneath Lucifer.
"Not forcing myself at all!" Lucifer replied.
Well, actually, Bexia felt like she was really pushing Lucifer a lot!
At the examination area of the Ancient Academy in Dawn City, steel buildings towered, and on a vast open square stood rows of mechanical giants, some being controlled by people, performing attacking or other actions.
Many people had come here, all rushing towards the registration area, with the queue extending outside the main gate. The bustling scene was truly awe-inspiring!
"Hmm…" Lucifer frowned slightly upon seeing the long queue ahead.
Seeing this, Bexia quickly interjected, "Lucifer, please… don't act recklessly!"
Before Bexia could finish her sentence, she felt a momentary dizziness, and then their group appeared at the very front of the line.
"Ehhh..." The registered elder in the long robe was a saint-level existence. He remembered seeing another young man just a moment ago, but suddenly it turned into Bexia and her group. He couldn't believe his eyes, so he took off his glasses, wiped them, and carefully inspected the group in front of him.
"Bang!" The elder quietly took out a mechanical compass and pointed it towards Bexia and the others. As soon as it was opened, it exploded, leaving his hand covered in soot!
"Sir, we are here to register!" Bexia looked at the peculiar elder and spoke.
"Oh! I will process your registration right away!" The elder reacted and quickly took out several nameplates from his pocket and handed them to Bexia, saying, "Take these and go to that building to participate in the examination!"
"Alright! Thank you so much!" Bexia accepted the nameplates and thanked him before leading the group towards the tall building mentioned by the elder, distributing the nameplates to everyone along the way.
"Lucifer, how did you do that just now?" Bexia asked curiously.
Just then, Lucifer didn't just switch the space around, she did much more than that. Bexia noticed that some people behind him had been unconsciously moved away, leaving only them and the elder at the registration point.
What Bexia saw was a vast distance between them, but to others, there seemed to be no change at all. Even the first person in line for registration didn't realize what had just happened, making it seem like Bexia and their group were not even in the same space as everyone else!
"I simply partitioned the surrounding space and obscured our presence with illusions. It's just a minor ability!" Lucifer said calmly, maintaining the dignity of a strong individual, no matter how much she downplayed herself in front of Bexia.
"We've arrived. Let's go in for the assessment!"
"Welcome to the examination hall of the Ancient Wilderness Academy. Please insert the nameplate into the card slot in the empty room, and then the candidates can enter to participate in the assessment."
"Note! Each room can only accommodate one person for assessment. Please do not violate the regulations, or you will be immediately expelled!"
As soon as they entered the steel building, a mechanical voice came down from above, guiding Bexia and the others on what to do next!
