Chapter 49 Divine Great Barrier

"Do not engage, let's go!" Bexia spoke up, the wings of Azure Sky behind her fluttered. The unexpected power of the Abyss Demon was beyond their ability to resist.

"Thinking of leaving? Leave everything to me!" Baso slammed his fists into the ground. With him at the center, the area within a radius of a hundred thousand meters was suddenly divided by a huge Abyssal barrier. The ground turned into sticky mud, with traces of Abyssal miasma rising from it.

"Domain: Abyssal Mire!"

"No way out!" Bexia's movement abruptly stopped. The thick Abyssal miasma barrier in front of him posed a strong threat, not just from the Abyssal miasma, but also containing spatial forces mixed in. Haphazardly traversing through it would only lead to certain death.

"Be obedient and become a part of my power!" Baso reached out, and a giant hand made of rotting mud emerged from the mire beneath Bexia's feet. As the master of the domain, Baso had the ability to control the power within the domain, making him practically invincible within it.

"Break!" Christine used her bow as a blade and struck down at the rotten mud hand. The hand was knocked back into the mire, but it had no effect whatsoever.

"Christine, Conesy, delay him for a bit. I will break through this domain!"

"Got it!" Christine nodded.

"Master, please rest assured!" Conesy replied.

The two exchanged a glance, both knowing the situation at that moment was dire. Christine transformed into an ethereal form and merged into Conesy's body, materializing Conesy's ship armor, which now exuded an aura much stronger than before, having elevated from a monarch-level to a saint-level power, showcasing a vast disparity in strength.

Fully armed with the ship armor, Conesy was formidable. Even if it was just an illusory armor, it granted her immense augmentation. The cannons on her back were aimed at Baso, and a barrage of fire roared out.

"Roar!"

Baso let out a painful cry. Though his body could regenerate, attacks infused with elemental and soul powers still caused considerable damage, especially in terms of sensation. Elemental attacks inflicted much more pain on him compared to conventional attacks.

Being bombarded like a sitting duck, the power of a mid-tier saint-level creature posed a significant threat to Baso.

"Awaken, my minions!" Baso's power delved into the mire once more as several black mud blobs floated up. They varied in size, but all contained a figure within – these were beings corroded by Baso into his life forms, devoid of any humanity and belonging to different alien species.

Baso had indeed encountered humans before, but in the eyes of Abyss Demons, humans were the weakest and lacked the qualifications to serve under them.

The minions summoned by Baso were entities eroded by his power, devoid of autonomous consciousness. Though retaining most of their combat abilities, the lack of self-awareness meant they were formidable opponents once engaged in battle.

These minions were not weak; at the lowest, they had reached the limits of monarch power. Many were saints, mostly on the mid to lower end, but there were also several high-level saints among them.

Dozens of minions converged on Conesy, overwhelming her with numbers. Despite Conesy's strength, facing so many enemies made it challenging to keep up, not to mention the menacing presence of Baso. The situation quickly turned into a stalemate where evasion was the key.

Speaking of Bexia, when Christine and Conesy were fighting against Basor, he put the elf in his hands into the subspace and summoned the Luminous Crown at the same time.

The original power of this artifact was mainly based on the concept of domain, capable of sustaining a small divine kingdom, similar to the concept of domain but far superior in power. This is because a domain merely harnesses a portion of the world's space using its own power, while the luminous divine kingdom unfolded by the Luminous Crown can be seen as an independent space. Within this independent space, the user is akin to a deity.

Of course, with Bexia's current strength limited to that of a champion, it is impossible to fully unleash the luminous divine kingdom. Even if it were fully unfolded, it would not be able to contend against Basor's Abyssal Marsh domain. However, most of Arahtys' power was infused into the Luminous Crown previously, enabling Bexia to activate this artifact without depleting his own strength. The only downside is that once the power is exhausted, the Luminous Crown will lose its effect.

One could say that the current Luminous Crown is like a fully charged phone, with its power dwindling with each use and no means of replenishment. At least for now, Bexia does not possess the ability to "recharge" the Luminous Crown!

"Luminous Crown!"

A nine-crowned crown appeared above Bexia's head, and behind him, the phantom of a six-winged angel manifested, resembling Arahtys, although at this moment it was just an empty shell.

"Domain: Holy Great Barrier!"

The elongated shadow of the six-winged angel moved, fiercely plunging the great sword into the ground. The six wings behind him closed forward, and golden power in the form of water-like ripples began to spread. With each step forward, a portion of the Abyssal Marsh vanished, transforming into a radiant world of sacred light.

Although Bexia could unleash this power, his control over it was limited. Despite Arahtys' power being far superior, the range of domain he could unfold was still not as extensive as Basor's Abyssal Marsh.

However, a powerful domain is enough to tear apart a weaker one. Even if the range is not extensive, like a water balloon with a gaping hole, how can it remain intact?

The Abyssal Marsh domain began to falter and Basor felt immense pain as he sensed the crushing pressure of this power. Under immortality, all are mere ants!

Within the depths of the abyss, the immortals could be considered as rulers of a region, commanding countless abyssal demons. In the face of immortality, even though Basor had reached the limit of a saint, he did not dare to challenge the might of the immortal, as the difference between the two realms was vast.

Fortunately, Basor realized that Bexia was leveraging some form of immense power. Otherwise, if a true immortal appeared, Basor would undoubtedly retreat to the depths of the abyss immediately. To confront an immortal head-on would be seeking death!

"Very well! Your artifact is mine!" Basor gazed intently at the Luminous Crown atop Bexia's head, undoubtedly a divine artifact. Even though he, as an abyssal demon, temporarily could not wield it, once he seized it and brought it back to the abyssal world, with the aid of the potent abyssal qi, transforming it into a usable abyssal artifact would not be impossible.

As Baso thought of this, he felt his blood boiling, even though there was no blood in his stony body.
