After grabbing all the treasures in the Sanctuary of Holy Light, Bexia and the others made a quick escape. After all, since they had taken everything valuable, there was no need to stay any longer.
It was indeed a pity that they couldn't take the Sanctuary of Holy Light with them. This was a world-class treasure, possibly even more valuable than what Bexia had taken. However, the unfortunate truth was that Bexia could hardly activate this artifact.
One reason for this was the fear of using it. From Arahtys's memories, Bexia learned that this artifact did not belong to him personally, but was acquired from the "Master" as an Archangel. He could only use it but could not truly make it his own.
This meant that the artifact had another owner, even more powerful. The master of the highest heavenly world must be a being surpassing even the eternal Creator.
Nevertheless, acquiring Arahtys's collection was already a huge gain. Being greedy would not be wise at all!
Lady Cloud still hadn't woken up. As for why Bexia was able to leave, it was because Lady Cloud had left behind a trace of power that enabled him to return to his original location using a spatial node.
The appearance of the Higanbana flower didn't cause much of a stir either. After all, Bexia already had plenty of companions around him; adding one more was no big deal.
Back in the Abyssal Continent, Bexia found it challenging to adapt to the barren celestial energy here, especially after advancing to the champion level. Now that he possessed the ability to control external forces, he felt that his control was limited to a very small extent.
"I feel like we don't need to visit the Orc race at all!" Bexia stepped out of the spatial node and glanced around.
"It's up to the Master." Christine was indifferent, as long as Bexia was happy.
"The Master's will is the direction I will follow!" Conesy as always.
"Hehe! I think I'll go take a look." After obtaining Arahtys's treasure, Bexia had no urgent need to visit the major tribes of the Orc race.
However, when he suddenly saw Baizhi and Heitong, he remembered that they seemed to have some kind of mission. Since he was not in a hurry, he decided to go and see.
"We can just fly over there!" Bexia spread his pure white wings behind him. Each individual wing was taller than anyone else's, and if combined together, they could completely envelop him.
"Christine, Conesy, each of you take one. I'll take care of Higanbana and Beibei!"
Taking one little companion in each hand, it was unexpectedly harmonious to see Beibei and the Higanbana flower get along so well. Despite their short time together, they had become good friends.
The speed of the Wing of Azure Sky gave Bexia the ability to rival the speed of a monarch, making this journey exceptionally fast. With the information obtained from the Cat Clan, and the right direction in mind, Bexia soon spotted a tribe much larger than the Cat Clan, tens of times larger in fact.
However, this tribe seemed to be in a rather dire situation.
There was a sense of overwhelming gloom hanging over it.
Bexia's arrival was quite conspicuous, flying in the sky as he was—it was almost impossible not to be noticed.
"Where are you from?" Several figures rushed out from the tribe below, led by an orc with a lion head. His body was similar to that of a human, probably belonging to a high-ranking orc! This lion-man's strength was at the monarch level, likely the lion king mentioned by the cat people before. As for the other orcs behind him – a werewolf, a dog-headed, a minotaur, and a snake person – they were all at the champion level in terms of strength.
This orc tribe was indeed different, unlike the cat people who couldn't even produce a single champion.
"We are envoys sent by the Elven Queen to assist Your Majesty, the Lion King!" Heitong spoke, taking out a blood-red bone from his bosom. Seeing this object, the vigilance of these orcs noticeably decreased.
"So, you are guests from the Elven tribe. This is not the place to talk; let's head down first!" The Lion King put on a somewhat "terrifying" smile. To be honest, a lion's smile looked a bit awkward.
The Lion King directly brought everyone into his large tent, where they were treated to food and drink. Although the Lion King's hospitality was mediocre, based on the cat people's situation, these offerings were considered decent.
Baizhi and Heitong came with a mission, while Bexia did not yet know that they were here to help the orc tribe. The difficulty they were aiding with stemmed from the recent plague that had infected many orc tribe members. After trying various methods, the Lion King had no choice but to send people to the Forest of Trees to seek the assistance of the Elven tribe.
"These few must be humans, right?" The Lion King looked warily at Bexia and the others. Baizhi and Heitong could easily tell that pointed ears were almost a standard feature of the Elven tribe in the dimensional universe.
"They are esteemed guests of our Elven tribe, who have come specifically to help the orc tribe in times of trouble!" Baizhi spoke to smooth over Bexia and the others' identity issue.
In the Hall of Holy Light, the two elves had learned many things under the guidance of Christine, and their strength had improved significantly since they first arrived. Bexia had even generously allowed them to use the essence of life liquid, bringing them just a step away from champion level.
Moreover, their relationship with Bexia and the others had become much closer, thanks to the favor they received from Christine's teachings.
"I see, thank you very much!" The Lion King did not completely let down his guard after hearing Baizhi's words. It was normal for him not to fully trust a one-sided account; even Baizhi and Heitong, as helpers, would not be completely trusted by the Lion King.
Ultimately, the Lion King temporarily lowered his guard, treated them well, and in the course of their conversation, they gleaned some information about the orc tribe.
Not long ago, the Lion King's tribe had undertaken a large-scale hunt to meet their food requirements. However, during this hunt, they inadvertently encountered a giant monster they had never seen before – a beast of immense strength. It cost them a considerable number of tribe members before they managed to hunt it down.
The plague began from that point onwards. Shortly after the hunt, everyone who had participated in the battle with this plague beast fell ill; they ran high fevers, lost their sense of clarity, and eventually their bodies began to rot from the inside out.
Luckily, the outbreak was identified relatively early, preventing any tribe members from consuming the monster's meat. Otherwise, the number of plague-infected individuals would have been much higher. Nevertheless, at least forty percent of the tribe had been infected by the plague, and among them, one-tenth of those infected earlier had already succumbed to the disease.
The current situation can be described as very precarious. Otherwise, the Lion King would not have thought to seek help from the elves in the direction of the Forest Sea, considering that there has been no contact between the two for a very long time.
