After passing through the curtain of light, Bexia's footsteps landed in an instant and a roar rang in his ears. When his vision cleared again, he found himself in a huge square, with a gigantic statue standing in the center.
This statue was of an eight-winged angel, standing with both hands pressing down on a large sword. Due to its immense size, Bexia couldn't see its face at all from his angle; he could only see a portion of its legs and a blurry golden light above. However, an invisible pressure enveloped the surroundings.
"Swish! Swish! Swish!" Three beams of light projected from the statue onto Bexia. These beams were all dressed in golden armor, their bodies encased in thick plate mail, wielding sacred light swords.
The appearance of the three knight figures left Bexia with no chance to react. They immediately charged at him, forcing Bexia to hastily retreat while simultaneously summoning his warblade from the subspace.
But their speed was too slow!
Bexia felt the speed of the three knights. As he took a step back, he planted his foot firmly on the ground and used the force to perform a mid-air somersault. His warblade slashed out in a fan shape, beheading the three knights simultaneously.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!" Three sounds rang out, and the three knights turned into a cloud of smoke and disappeared.
"That was too easy!" Bexia couldn't help but be speechless. The previous person couldn't even pass the first level, which was really embarrassing, wasn't it?
The smoke formed by the three knights didn't dissipate but instead condensed together, forming a golden pill. Surprisingly, it was the kind that directly enhanced one's strength. Although it wasn't much, its effects were over ten times stronger than what one could buy from outside.
Bexia collected the pill. It was a good item, but it didn't have much effect on him. He consumed resources at a rate hundreds of times higher than his peers, so it was just a pill to him and not of much use.
After gathering his energy, the statue once again emitted beams of light. This time, however, it was five golden-armored knights. But they were all the same, easily defeated by Bexia in one move.
Level two...
Level three...
Bexia passed each level, with the number of golden-armored knights increasing from three to five, and then to ten. The number increased after each level, but it had no effect on Bexia at all. It was just a waste of time, with no real obstacles.
By the time Bexia reached level ten, there were already one hundred golden-armored knights, thirty more than level nine. And there was one difference: before the one hundred golden-armored knights appeared, there was a winged knight in the front, and its strength surpassed the limits of a champion.
"Meteorite Destruction!" Bexia swung his hand, energy roaring. The champion couldn't stop his advance; it was just a matter of quantity. What could this be considered?
"Boom!" A deafening sound filled the sky. Everything turned into ashes under the Meteorite Destruction, leaving only a few dots of light slowly gathering together, forming new rewards.
Ten levels passed, and this time there weren't just one type of reward but three: a lightblade, a large piece of pure light glass, and a champion-grade pill that enhanced one's strength.
These items weren't really useful to Bexia. The lightblade was of champion level, although better than the ones in his subspace, it was still useless. His powers were special, and ordinary weapons in his hands just became expendables. With time, they would slowly deteriorate.
After receiving the reward, the surrounding space changed again, and Bexia felt that her position had risen from the footsteps of the huge statue to the lower leg.
When she arrived at the eleventh level, Bexia was taken aback because there were several people around her who looked confused. But when a strand of information appeared in their minds, they finally knew what this level's competition was about.
It was a tournament!
From the eleventh level to the twentieth level, it was all about competing. Each time the level was raised, ten people would appear, and these ten people would fight each other until there was only one winner left, who would then proceed to the next level. This continued until the twentieth level.
However, there was also a suppression in these battles. The standard was set based on the weakest person among the ten, and everyone's strength was suppressed to the same level.
But this seemingly fair suppression was not really useful. Although the strength was suppressed, the experience, skills, and vision of the strong were things that the weak couldn't compare to.
Based on Bexia's previous experience with the levels, it was certain that those who could come here were definitely not weak. Fighting among ten people would be much more difficult.
Soon, all ten people were gathered, and they had ten seconds of preparation time. Everyone quickly retreated to a corner and took out their weapons to prepare for battle.
The ten seconds quickly passed, and all ten people made their moves instantly. Among them, Bexia had the lowest strength, as she didn't feel her power being suppressed. She stood in place with a warblade in her hand and found that no one paid any attention to her. The other nine probably thought she was the weakest and looked down on her.
"...I have no words," Bexia also felt speechless.
Soon, someone was eliminated and teleported out once they were defeated. When they entered again, they would start from the eleventh level directly.
Because no one died here, these people could fight without any concerns.
The final person left was a young practitioner with green hair. He was extremely fast, and none of the other people could even touch the hem of his clothes. It was thanks to this speed advantage that he became one of the two remaining people on the field.
"You should surrender automatically! I don't want to make a move, otherwise, I'll be bullying a junior," the young man said confidently with a mature look, despite not seeming as old as he appeared.
"Then take my attack!"
"Chaotic Yuan Strike!"
Bexia moved, gathering power on her warblade. Although it was not a complete Chaotic Yuan Strike, it was still powerful enough. The young man, who had been looking down on her, tried to defend himself, but the powerful force pierced directly through him.
"Damn it!"
The young man's voice slowly disappeared. Although he had been pierced through, he wouldn't die with the power of the Holy Light Path. However, he was definitely severely injured.
"I thought you were impressive?" Bexia looked at the disappearing young man and rolled her eyes, collecting the fallen reward.
Continuing to challenge the levels, Bexia stopped at the fifteenth level. She was blasted out by several people at once. Although her combat power was not low, she lacked practical combat experience, especially against those in the tournament. Bexia felt that this was the closest it got to real combat. There were no reservations, no holding back. Only the last person could stay, making it the most realistic place for combat. After all, your opponent wouldn't necessarily face you one-on-one or engage in an open and fair fight. No one knew if someone would stab you in the back.
Bexia learned a lot here, and it is indeed a good place for honing skills, allowing him to better familiarize himself with his own powers.
