Chapter Thirty-Three: Luo Cailing and Lu

“Then who do you think hijacked this train?”

The young man frowned slightly at the middle‑aged man’s answer and asked.

“This… I can’t say for sure, sir. There are tons of pirate groups on the Crystal Sea. There must be at least a hundred forces that can field three champions!”

“I don’t want to hear that.”

The young man’s tone went cold. The middle‑aged man felt danger closing in on him and hurriedly added, “Senior, in this area there are only three pirate crews with that kind of strength—the Black Dragon Pirates, the Purple Feather Pirates, and the Blood Croc Pirates. Among them, the Blood Croc Pirates are the strongest. They have over twenty champions in their ranks!”

“You know where their lairs are, right?”

“I… know a bit.”

“Give me their approximate locations.”

As the youth spoke, a map of the Crystal Sea World unfolded between them. The middle‑aged man pointed out three regions one by one, explaining which pirate crew controlled each area.

The young man nodded without another word. His figure flickered and vanished from in front of the middle‑aged man. Up in the sky, the battleship roared as it slipped into a spatial rift and disappeared. Only when everything was completely gone did the middle‑aged man notice that his back was drenched in cold sweat.

It wasn’t just the overwhelming gap in strength. That space‑shuttling battleship alone was beyond anything he understood. By his estimate, it had to be at least a level‑two battleship. With his flimsy little body, he probably couldn’t even take one shot from its cannons.

“My lord…”

The two black‑robed men appeared behind him again.

“Pass down the order. We’re heading to the nearest Black Dragon Pirate crew. I’ve got a feeling the sky over this sea is about to change.”

The middle‑aged man looked toward the spot where the battleship had vanished and murmured, “Maybe we’ll get a lot of benefits out of this.”

In the dungeon of the Blood Croc Pirates, the dim light made the air feel heavy. There wasn’t a single other prisoner around. In all the empty cages, only Bexia sat there alone. The seal on his body had already been fully removed, but he still had no idea how to get out of here. This was the headquarters of the Blood Croc Pirates, after all. With more than twenty champions watching this place, how was he supposed to escape under their noses?

While Bexia was still thinking, the chains on the cell door rattled. He opened his eyes and saw two pirates each toss a little girl inside.

“Mmm… mmm—!”

The two little lolis had something stuffed in their mouths, so all they could make were muffled cries of pain. The pirates glanced at Bexia, then locked the door again.

“Waaah—!”

Bexia pulled the gag out of both girls’ mouths, letting them exhale in long relief.

“You two okay?”

He also tore apart the ropes binding them and helped the two little lolis up as he asked.

Of the two, one was half a head taller. She had fiery red hair done up in twin braids. The other had water‑blue hair, tied at the back in a butterfly shape.

“Thank you, big brother!”

The red‑haired loli thanked him in a crisp, sweet voice. The blue‑haired one was a bit shy, but she still whispered a soft thank‑you.

“My name’s Luo Cailing. This is my little sister, Luo Ningxian. What’s your name, big brother?”

The livelier Luo Cailing looked up at Bexia and asked.

“I’m Bexia. You two were passengers on the train that got captured too?”

“Yeah! Xian and I were taking a nap. Then we woke up and we’d been grabbed by someone!”

Luo Cailing pouted, looking very unhappy. From the way she emphasized it, it sounded like what she was most upset about was her nap being disturbed. Bexia was a bit speechless. Just how carefree was this girl? She’d been kidnapped and she was still hung up on something like that.

“Grrr~”

A sound drew Bexia’s gaze to Luo Ningxian behind Cailing. The little loli blushed and lowered her head shyly.

“Cailing, I’m hungry.”

Luo Ningxian tugged on Luo Cailing’s sleeve and whispered softly in her ear.

“My ring got taken away. I don’t have any food left!”

Luo Cailing looked troubled. “Xian, can you just bear with it a little longer?”

“But… I’m really hungry…”

Luo Ningxian looked utterly wronged, her eyes turning misty. Anyone who saw her like that would find it hard not to feel sorry for her.

“If you don’t mind, I actually still have some food.”

Bexia’s ring had been taken, but nobody could steal the subspace he carried.

He reached into the subspace and felt around for a bit. There was a lot inside. He’d already considered the possibility of his ring being taken, so he’d stocked plenty of supplies in there. There was a ton of food too. It wouldn’t spoil inside anyway.

He took out some sweet pastries and cakes and set them down in front of the two little lolis. Luo Ningxian’s eyes lit up at once. Bexia didn’t know if it was just his imagination, but he suddenly felt like he’d made some huge mistake. The little loli in front of him seemed a bit… unusual.

“Go ahead and eat. If it’s not enough, I’ve got more.”

“Ah‑um~ Ah‑um~”

Luo Ningxian’s behavior was completely different from her earlier shyness. Faced with Bexia’s pastries, she showed no restraint at all. She grabbed them and stuffed them into her mouth. In just a few bites, a big chunk of cake was gone. And she was using both hands at once. Her speed was unbelievable, like she hadn’t eaten in decades.

Watching her gobble the food down, Bexia didn’t feel disgusted—only a bit of pity. A cute little loli like this, starved to that point… it was really hard to watch.

“Cailing… thish piece ish for you.”

Luo Ningxian held a piece of cake, hesitated, then swapped it for a slightly smaller one and passed it to Luo Cailing. Her other hand never stopped, still shoving food into her own mouth as she mumbled around it.

“Smack—!”

Seeing this, Luo Cailing chopped down on Luo Ningxian’s head with a hand knife. The sound made even Bexia wince in sympathy.

“Wuuu~ Cailing, you’re so mean…”

Luo Ningxian clutched her head and looked at her with teary eyes. But her hands still didn’t stop, and her mouth kept chewing away.

Watching the two sisters, Bexia’s lips twitched.

“Sorry for the scene, big brother. Xian gets like this whenever she starts eating.”

Luo Cailing was clearly the more mature one.

“It’s fine. You should eat some too. Looks like you haven’t eaten in most of a day either. You must be hungry.”

Bexia smiled as he spoke. He really didn’t mind sharing some food.

“Thank you, big brother.”

Luo Cailing thanked him again, then picked up a piece of cake and took a bite. As for Luo Ningxian, she kept scarfing things down. In just a few minutes, the pastries Bexia had taken out were completely gone—about ninety percent of them into Luo Ningxian’s stomach.

“Hungry…”

Luo Ningxian stared at Bexia with big, watery eyes, like a little pet begging to be fed. Faced with that longing gaze, Bexia was shocked by her appetite, but he still took out another batch of food. Since Luo Cailing hadn’t eaten much, he made the portion even bigger than before.

What happened next made Bexia’s face grow darker and darker. Luo Cailing was fine; after eating a bit more, she was full.

Luo Ningxian, on the other hand, seemed like she couldn’t get full at all. The supplies in Bexia’s subspace disappeared at a frightening speed. In the end, the amount of food he’d prepared to last at least a month was completely wiped out, not a single crumb left. And Luo Ningxian was still looking at him with dewy eyes, mouth saying, “I’m so hungry…”
