"Ouch, ouch, ouch, don't be so forceful." Collins, with a swollen face and bruised nose, pushed away the hands of the elf doctor in the school infirmary, who was weirdly stroking Collins' chest.

"Your ribs are showing signs of fractures, and there's also a minor internal bleeding. Only your face got the worst of it."

The school doctor touched Collins' face. Although Collins' face was swollen like a pig's head, the wounds on his face were just bruising which would naturally fade away over time.

It is said that one shouldn't hit someone's face, but if they do, there shouldn't be any visible wounds. The person who did it has some serious skills.

"Should I go to the hospital for an examination?"

Collins coughed up a mouthful of blood. He was indeed seriously injured. In her rage, Iliana had unleashed almost all the martial arts she had learned throughout her life on Collins. If it weren't for the guards hearing Collins' cries for help and rushing into his lab to pull Iliana away, Collins might have been beaten to death by Iliana.

That damned violent woman deserved to never find a man to accompany her for the rest of her life.

Curled up in bed, Collins cursed Iliana with bitterness. Before he could think for a few more seconds, he spit out another mouthful of blood.

Unable to hold back any longer, the elf school doctor put his hand on Collins' back. A warm energy spread from behind him, and the unique life force of the elf flowed along Collins' spine, clearing the stagnation within his blood vessels and healing his wounds.

"It's not necessary since the injury wasn't caused by any strange magic. Although your internal organs have suffered some damage, with proper rest and my methods, you will recover quickly."

"Really?"

"I am an elf, I don't lie."

The adorable school doctor pouted. Even if he was Collins' grandfather, at the age of ninety, he considered himself too old. However, he had a baby face, coupled with the naturally beautiful appearance of the elves, making him one of the most attractive people in the school's list of dream lovers (regardless of gender).

The school doctor turned and went to his wardrobe, and after some sporadic rustling sounds, he quickly came back with a mixture of grass leaves and medicinal herbs.

"Here, take these herbs half an hour before or after a meal, and use meditation to dissolve their effects. You will recover in about three days."

Collins took the medicine and sniffed it in the bag, a strange smell filling his nostrils.

"Don't look at me like that. I am not a criminal. You can choose whether or not to take this medicine."

Collins shrugged.

"Can I still come to school these few days?"

"It's best not to. With your current condition, you won't be able to handle excessive physical exertion or magic experiments that require high concentration."

"Then let me take a leave from you."

"Alright, I'll talk to your homeroom teacher later."

"Okay, I'm going home now."

"Take care, goodbye."

The school doctor waved his hand behind Collins, his face full of cuteness. Although he was a male, he had a charm that even Collins found somewhat irresistible.

No wonder elf slaves were the most popular three hundred years ago. Their cuteness is simply irresistible.

Shaking his head, Collins got on the closest bus to leave the school and went home.

========

"I'm back."

Collins opened the door and changed into a pair of slippers at the entrance. One side of the living room had a refrigerator, conveniently located next to the sofa. Collins' father and Collins himself were both very lazy. Sometimes, once they lay down on the sofa, they wouldn't get up for the whole day. During these times, they would indulge their taste buds with snacks and beverages from the refrigerator. According to Collins' father, living a life where desired things are within arm's reach is like living in paradise.

"Huh, no classes today? Why are you back so early?"

John lay on the sofa in the living room. This high-level mage believed that living a life where desired things are within arm's reach is already very happy. But in reality, he didn't even bother to reach within arm's length. He simply used his mental power to open the refrigerator door and took out a can of ice cream.

Collins felt the room's temperature.

"The temperature is 22℃, are you not afraid of going to the hospital tonight after eating ice cream?""You don't understand. Your father is a high-level mage with multiple protective blessings on him. Even such a small thing like this doesn't matter to him."

Collins shrugged as sounds came from the kitchen. With the sound of the door opening, a woman with an elegant figure and a hint of seductiveness appeared. Her delicate face exuded joy as she looked at Collins.

Her name was Maevel, Collins' stepmother. She was not human, belonging to a race that was extremely awkward. Hundreds of years ago, they were considered a low-level race, even looked down upon by brainless green-skinned goblins and fish-like creatures that only acted on instinct - slimes.
