Inside the Cloud Peak residence of the Minister of Finance in The Divine Realm, the heavily guarded Angels have been maintaining strict vigilance ever since the Minister of Finance was placed under house arrest. The entire financial affairs of The Divine Realm are now controlled by multiple families within the parliament, including the Brandts. Ellen Brandt has taken over Marutian’s position as the ruler of the divine race.
Now, the top echelons of the divine race are racking their brains over the irreversible war they have initiated. However, apart from them, there is another group fighting in the shadows: Hisa, Snow, and their revolutionaries. They are secretly making contact with some noble-minded divine beings in the celestial realms above, rallying the support of the people below the clouds, planning a rebellion to replace the divine "New Covenant" with the "Old Covenant." They also aim to further their "constitution" to prevent the divine race from continuing their misdeeds. The divine race cannot support the righteousness of the three realms, and the imbalance of energy in the three realms is already a certainty.
In these days, there have been too many omens appearing in The Divine Realm, from natural disasters to inexplicable spatial rifts, all indicating that the world's consciousness is eradicating the divine race. Moreover, the energy resources of the divine race are continuously declining. Currently, the resources being sustained are plundered from The Human Realm.
"Another black hole has just appeared. The tally of vanished divine beings is still ongoing," Snow received the news from The Divine Realm, another catastrophe had struck.
"This is the fault of our divine race, and what we must do now is to correct ourselves."
Trying to peek into her own home, Snow found nothing, as the heavily guarded Angels were not ones to allow outsiders to spy on their abode.
"You are the goddess of wisdom, let us handle the spying on battles," discreetly, Hisa's divine consciousness soared into the sky to gather information. However, unable to see everything, his consciousness then infiltrated the northeast corner of the residence, attaching itself to a less vigilant Angel to observe. Hisa was well aware of the tactics of the heavily guarded Angels; spying through a single route would easily be detected, hence gathering fragments of information through various means and integrating them was the best approach.
"There are fifty-two heavily guarded Angels inside, along with three guardian Angels who constantly surround your father. It's impossible to silently take him away, considering those three guardian Angels are difficult to evade. Perhaps we'll have to resort to violent means to secure his escape. Retreat is also a concern because not far from our base, there is a combat-type great deity. I have some acquaintances with him, but based on that alone, I cannot persuade him to help us. It seems intentional, sending someone with whom I have shallow ties to guard this area of the celestial realms." Hisa could easily grasp the intention behind his elder brother Ellen's actions. Having spent so long in The Divine Realm, there were very few divine beings with whom he had no ties, and even fewer possessed extraordinary combat prowess. Therefore, a great deity with whom he had weak ties was the logical choice.
After much deliberation at the base, if they could find a way to divert the attention of that great deity, the task would become much more manageable. After all, Hisa's strength alone was more than a match for those heavily guarded Angels, and the divine beings fighting alongside Hisa were not weak either. Should they split up to deal with the situation, it would compromise the combat prowess of their revolutionaries due to their inferior numbers; this approach was not ideal.
"If only there were other forces that could intervene, perhaps there would be a turning point," Snow casually remarked.
"It is not entirely out of the realm of possibility."
"Hisa, the forces we are counting on are all engaged in rescuing the officials who have been detained. There are not many other divine beings who could come to our aid," Snow, of course, was very eager to rescue her own father, but she could not risk the lives of others for her own desires.
"Other than the divine race?"
"The human race? Impossible. The divine and human races have been at war in The Human Realm, if the human race had the ability to attack The Divine Realm, they would have reclaimed that continent long ago."
Hisa suddenly pointed to the sky, where a spatial hole had been cut open at some point, and said, "It's the demons!"
"Demon invasion!" That was the immediate reaction for most divine beings.
Hisa sighed deeply and said, "We need to correct our thinking. According to the guidance of the Holy Dragon, the divine, human, and demon races share a common origin. If we align our directions, we can be allies."
"Regardless, their appearance now has indeed been a help to us."
Leading the assault team was the Fist Demon King, Yuzhai. His fist struck the Cloud Street, instantly destroying a section. While Hisa believed their appearance was helpful, she did not endorse such violent behavior.
The destruction storm caused by Yuzhai's fist swept through the area, prompting the vigilant divine beings to strike.
"The demon race is not numerous, yet they remain calm? How did they manage that?" Yuer observed the sudden intrusion of the demon race without any discomfort.
"Perhaps only Qin Yang can explain that, but our time is limited. The demon race's numbers are few, indicating a swift attack. This gap is perfect for us to take advantage of!"
"I dislike that term."
"Yuer, you cannot go, stay here."
Yuer suddenly pointed at Hisa's chest, sounding displeased, "Do you think I'll be a burden? While I'm willing to admit it, I trust you, Hisa. I'll stay."
Hisa continued to arrange the mission. One minute later, only Yuer remained in the room. She did not act like an ordinary girl; she was a rational goddess who knew when to assert herself and when to remain silent.
The residential area was attacked from the four directions, with the target location to the north. The east, south, and west simultaneously launched assaults while Hisa attacked from the north three minutes later. The other three directions were merely feints, aimed at attracting the heavily armored Angels and buying time. Taking advantage of the gap when the armored Angels were returning to defend, Hisa successfully infiltrated with her own speed. However, the armored Angels were not fools either; they used a body double, and where they originally spied the imprisoned minister was not the real target.
"Sly." Hisa roared, piercing the ground with Magic, delving into a cellar. This was the true prison room because Hisa knew the location spied on was here; the real and fake targets were in the same place but on different planes. It would be easy to be deceived by the body double if one's mind was not clear at the moment of discovery, leading to leaving the area before realizing it. The defense of the armored Angels was complete.
Of course, now Hisa had to deal with three close-guard Angels. Hisa decisively lifted the minister's body, using stealth Magic to quickly depart. Entangling with them made no sense at all. Could the three close-guard Angels really defeat Hisa? That was impossible. However, delaying until the armored Angels returned was a possibility.
One of the close-guard Angels suddenly produced a small knife and threw it towards the invisible Hisa.
"A cursed dagger? How despicable to use such a thing!" Hisa evaded in time, but the aura emanating from the dagger made her uneasy.
The weapons the close-guard Angels wielded were all evil in nature. As the final "executioners" of the Judgment Angels, Hisa was furious. Unintentionally gathering potent Magic in her fist, she retaliated by hitting the close-guard Angel behind her, knocking out his Angelic spirit directly.
Angry Hisa instantly regained her composure and signaled for all the assailants to retreat. Fortunately, Yu Zhai happened to be entangled with the Great God just as this happened. Both of them landed at high speed in a residential area, causing the entire house to collapse in the aftermath. Yu Zhai and Hisa brushed past each other. The two had faced each other in life-and-death battles many times before, but this was the first time they did not fight each other and instead moved in the same direction.
"Let's go," Yu Zhai said casually, his back turned to Hisa as he waved his hand.
Facing Yu Zhai, Hisa knew that gods and demons had always been separate entities. They had even considered the possibility that only one of them could survive. But today, circumstances forced them to stand together, back to back without any reason to fight.
"I owe you a favor," Hisa said as he turned his back on Yu Zhai and left with the ministers.
Unable to resist, Yu Zhai turned his head and said, "It feels quite good to have a favor owed by the divine race."
"Ten minutes! Well done, Hisa," Snow watched the time as Hisa successfully rescued her father in just ten minutes.
"Every member of the Brandt family is outstanding, it's just that some gods have gone astray," Hisa remarked.
After ensuring her father's health, Snow began to prepare to leave, but suddenly an ugly giant hand emerged in the direction of the residence.
"That's..."
"Not surprising," Hisa said calmly, "It's a Unvirtuous Angel, probably one of the subordinates of the recent Unvirtuous Angels."
The three Unvirtuous Angels, who had long used evil weapons, were bound to deviate and become Unvirtuous Angels sooner or later. However, in front of the Great God and the Demon King, the Unvirtuous Angels did not hold an advantage in combat. Despite being beaten senseless by both, the Unvirtuous Angel was left in a pitiful state.
"Let's go, this chaotic battle is not suitable for us," Snow concluded that the three-way battle involving the Unvirtuous Angel, the Great God, and the Demon King would not benefit them in any way.
"No! Angel, this is not how it should be!" Hisa struggled internally and slowly walked out to make a decision. He raised his hand as if to touch the Unvirtuous Angel and suddenly the "Execution Gate" appeared over its head. Although the gate was still under repair, Hisa decided to use it.
The damaged "Execution Gate" slowly opened, and the light inside shone on the weakened body of the Unvirtuous Angel, initiating his transformation and descent.
In front of the Gate of Gods and Demons in the Human Realm, the brightness and fire attribute Magic of the humans and gods outside the Dragon Clan battlefield weakened significantly. Most of the light and fire elements were concentrated within the Dragon Clan battlefield, giving the Dragons priority in using these elements. In a showdown of Magic between Geirerofi and Marutian, the entire sea was blasted open, causing all the warships in the vicinity to retreat from the sea. No one dared to approach the battlefield, lest they lose their lives unintentionally due to the repercussions of the Dragon Clan's duel.
"You are the 'Dragon of Time' who destroyed the Dragon Realm, aren't you?" Geirerofi accused.
"I know if I move the gate, you will reclaim the memories of the Dragon Realm, which I am not willing to do. But I have no choice," Marutian replied, seeing the increasingly agitated Geirerofi before him, who seemed to be exerting more force and taking on a vengeful stance.
"Are you repenting for your sins?" asked Geirerofi.
Smiling slightly, Marutian replied, "No, what I did was not wrong. I simply don't want you to keep bothering me. Once the new Dragon Realm suitable for the Dragon Clan is born, the Dragon Clan Ark will receive guidance and come."
"Noah's Ark? Are you talking about the one from back then... they had long been lost in the shuttle between worlds, whether they were dead or alive was already unknown. I was on the lost ark back then, the last dragon emperors opened the cracks in the world to let me, the lucky one, search for a new world!" Geirerofi recalled how he had arrived here, the spatial hole that was not large enough to trap him was opened with the combined dragon emperor's secret powers, the last dragon emperors did not have the ability to traverse between worlds, and opening such a hole was the result of countless attempts.
"Lost? Then I can only create a new dragon clan, their lives and deaths are irrelevant."
"Irrelevant!" Geirerofi was angry, the flames reaching temperatures of over a thousand or even tens of thousands, but the watery battlefield was disadvantageous for him, and Marutian would not wait for him to heat up.
Marutian controlled the erupting sea, transforming the seawater into dragon shapes, with a fierce momentum, plunging straight down. Steam filled the entire battlefield, smoke pervaded, Elena immediately dived into the steam, five conical objects surrounded her, launching a surprise attack on Marutian.
"Elena, I am not blind!"
The magic energy balls moved through the mist, the five conical objects forming a defensive net. Elena fearlessly approached Marutian, with Geirerofi and Elena attacking from both sides...
