In the Demon Realm's Yu City, I am Qin Yang, also known as Demon Dragon. Making the Demon Kings obedient requires some means. Now, ten Demon Kings are standing in front of me, each one a crafty spirit. Their hearts are twisted and convoluted, completely different from the Demon Kings in the War of Gods and Demons thirteen million years ago. Only the Monkey King seems to be more straightforward. Compared to before becoming a Demon King, it has become astute and reserved, suppressed by the awakening of its humanity. The evolution speed of this monkey, nourished in The Demon Realm, is truly a miracle.
Tony is also standing beside the Monkey King—it seems he has achieved his goal. Compared to the scene during summer vacation, Dream King and Psychic King are missing. The other Demon Kings have inherited their positions, and I already have an idea of their conduct. The rest will need further observation.
"Is the internal strife almost over, everyone?"
The Demon Kings remain silent. They understand my implication that they should cease their conflict and focus on other matters.
"Silence is good. Next, the two new Demon Kings will present evidence of the former Demon Kings' crimes before their introduction."
Tony and the Monkey simultaneously present two black spheres containing evidence of the former Demon Kings' misdeeds. The evidence is solid—official correspondences, recordings, and verbal confessions of colluding with the divine beings.
I observe each Demon King's reaction, whether they show any difference. Some may have been involved but have not continued their misconduct due to lack of evidence. In the past during the era of the Demon Dragon, evidence was elusive, but now, they are merely stars in the crimson sky.
"Demon Kings who die can be reincarnated or become a star guarding The Demon Realm, but for those who collude with the divine beings, how can we let them off so easily?"
I place the Sword of the Demon Dragon before the Demon Kings. The sword harbors numerous tortured souls; their wails echo in everyone’s ears. The Demon Kings, accustomed to hearing and even enjoying the cries of these souls, feel a slight tremble. The souls of two deceased Demon Kings indeed reside within the sword, a great insult as they are imprisoned as pitiful souls akin to ants despite their former status. Their punishment is well-deserved.
"Demon Dragon…"
"Hush!"
A Demon King attempts to speak but is interrupted by me. The intentions behind the upcoming events are clear, and the Demon Kings are aware they must resubmit to me without resistance.
The sword emits a blood-red glow as the souls of the Demon Kings are extracted, tormented within the sword for days. Exhausted, their souls are easily captured, akin to catching a tired fugitive.
With hands clasped together, blood-red eyes fixed on them, and golden flames engulfing their souls, under the Flame of Punishment, their souls gradually disintegrate. Like burnt matchsticks turning to ash, the remnants disperse into The Demon Realm, nourishing the land and enriching the force of the world. In essence, if the world decides to exterminate lives across the Three Realms, the force of the world will increase by billions.
The Demon Kings naturally conceal any expressions of terror. If anyone showed fear on their faces, I would doubt their suitability to be a Demon King.
"I retain their power and distribute it as rewards to exceptional warriors in this war."
When it comes to power, the Ten Demon Kings show greedy eyes. Even for the weaker demon kings, their power is quite substantial, a power that every demon desires.
"Until now, all you demon kings have behaved as usual in front of me, Qin Yang, but your hearts have changed. No matter what schemes you have in mind, you will soon be involved in the war between humans and gods. This time, I demand that you enter The Divine Realm!"
The demon kings could tell that they were not very willing to enter The Divine Realm. Simply put, the radiant elements of The Divine Realm drove them mad, making it impossible for them to fight rationally. In The Divine Realm, they could only end up wounded.
I stood up and used the power of the Holy Dragon to create a dazzling sphere of light, resembling the sun, filled with pure light energy. I instructed all the demon kings to stay in this room, going crazy from the unbearable light, and none could leave unless they defeated me.
"A tip for you all: the reason demons cannot stay calm in the light magic is because the casters are usually gods. The hatred towards gods is shifted to magic. If you can separate the two, you will succeed."
Under the forced calm demeanor of the Ten Demon Kings, I left the room, where Lilith was already waiting outside.
"Aren't we going to do anything about them?"
"These demon kings have lived long enough to understand that if the hatred-transferring element between gods and demons cannot be overcome, no one can conquer the other's territory below. The war between gods and demons would only result in a never-ending battle."
Lilith suddenly hugged me and said, "Now it's just the two of us!"
"But we don't have time for any intimacy."
"Why not?"
"Don't be upset, Marutian has yet to be found. Once we deal with him, we'll have plenty of time."
"By then, I wonder if you'll hug the guild leader or the deputy guild leader first!"
I played with Lilith's hair and said, "I'll create duplicates, so everyone can hug at the same time."
"You're being unfair!"
At that moment, I created a duplicate to stand at the door, making it seem like I was still there, as I and Lilith left ahead.
"You're just a scarecrow!" Lilith immediately saw through my intentions. How could a duplicate win against demon kings? It was clearly a bluff.
"Once they realize the duplicate outside is me, they'll pass the test."
Lilith and I left Yu City, and Lilith asked several times about our destination. I had to inform her that she was heading to The Demon Realm Dragon Tomb. At this stage, knowing about my dragon transformation was a conspiracy. To avoid transforming, I needed to gather dragon tribes from the Three Realms, perhaps then there would be a way.
"Qin Yang, wouldn't living dragons be more powerful in battle? Those dead dragon spirits, even with strong souls, should be fragile." Lilith understood very well how troublesome undead could be, almost 'harming oneself while trying to harm others.'
"If those dragon spirits are willing to help, I don't mind, but my main goal is to find out from them which dragon tribes are still alive. Besides dragons that died of old age, there are also those that died in battle, and in this world, mostly dragons can kill dragons."
"It could also be death by illness or poison!"
"Don't be argumentative. Asking won't kill you."
"You're the Holy Demon Dragon, can't you even keep track of how many dragon tribes there are?" Lilith was very puzzled about how I once managed to rule over both the realms of gods and demons.
"Up until now, I've only realized that I never really paid attention to how many dragonkind are still alive..."
"You've got a big heart."

Ever since our last battle, the Dragon Tomb in the Demon Realm has become pitted and scarred. The central area has even turned into flat ground. It can be said that many dragonkind's bones and souls were destroyed or damaged at that time, which is actually a sorry state for those dragons. Remnants of souls occasionally drift by on the outskirts. These remnants are devoid of consciousness, merely wandering aimlessly near their own remains.
"These dragon souls are more unsettling than the evil spirits in the underworld." Lilith is very sensitive to the souls in a place like this, as Pluto's family deals with souls. Taming powerful souls is not easy and extremely dangerous.
"If you could tame one of those dragon souls inside your flower, you could probably go claim the demon king's throne!"
"No, the demon king's position is too tiresome. With my sister around, I'm free and easy!"
"No aspirations at all..."
"What! Saying Lilith has no aspirations, am I not just taming a dragon soul to prove you wrong?" Lilith may seem tough, but she should be well aware of how difficult it is to tame a dragon soul. Since I made no move to stop her, she glanced back at me, wanting me to say or do something to give her a little face.
"Remember to look for remnants. Only complete dragon souls will obey you."
"Hmph, I'll find them myself!"
Alone, Lilith walks a little further away to search for suitable dragon souls to tame. If Lilith can obtain one or two remnants, it would greatly enhance her combat strength.
I watch as the dragon souls in the Dragon Tomb flicker and gather with a single command, "Dragon Order," capable of attracting dragon souls. "Dragon Call" cannot achieve this.
The dragon souls need to communicate with my dragon soul, as human voices cannot speak the dragon language.
Only a few of the complete dragon souls can communicate normally, but they are in the minority. The majority were injured in the last battle, limiting the information obtained. Out of the fifteen dragons still alive and in precise locations, some are in the northern ice fields with thunder dragons like Othrie and dragons in the eastern seas. Most are in slumber or sealed, with scattered information about the pure dragon race and new births. Using Magic to search extensively, Marutian, as a member of the dragon kind, would also be aware, but unfortunately, they must be searched for one by one.
Before starting the search, I must find out from Pia how the three-headed dragon disguises itself. Obviously, the three-headed dragon does not possess the ability to transform humans. It must rely on external forces. Having this ability allows all dragons to remain inconspicuous when they appear.
The dragon souls suddenly scatter as they instinctively sense danger. The source is not me but Lilith, who is capturing remnants. Dragon souls are ingrained with a fighting spirit, so capturing a sluggish and unresponsive remnant without any fighting spirit is completely unnecessary.
In the distance, Lilith is in a struggle with a wisp of remnant. At this moment, Lilith must have enough energy to control the remnant, which is now masterless. Once it can't be controlled, things will be much easier in the future, and Lilith's command is the direction the remnant moves.
"Can't you lend a hand...?"
Lilith tightly locks the dragon soul in place.
"Lilith, you've almost got it completely immobilized, keep going!"
"Just... quit... with the sarcasm!"
Lilith slips, and I appear behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist, which is as slender as a cat's, and the remnant is frozen in place as well.
"Lilith, where is your flower?"
In an instant, a Mandragora flower appeared, with slender red petals blooming. The remnants of the spirit were locked in the center of the flower, as the petals closed, completing the containment!
