Chapter 4
1
It was Friday afternoon, about half an hour before the bell rang for the last class, and I was packing up some stuff in my room, wearing the school uniform.
Lilith didn't have classes at this time on Fridays either. She sat on my swivel chair, watching me pack.
"Qin Yang, are those people really the ones?"
"You can ask Nana. She should remember those masked people. They were a private organization from a southeast island country. I don't remember their name, but I do remember their sun and moon star logo."
"If it turns out to not be them in the end, what are you going to do? Are you still going to let the empire pardon the father of our dear class president?"
"To pardon her father, I only need one condition from the class president. Meeting her father is just an additional condition."
"What do you want her to do for you? I feel like you have some evil thoughts in your mind." Lilith spun her chair at a constant speed, using magic.
"I'm just seeking revenge. Last year, she enjoyed judging me so much. It's my turn this time." As I said this, I could feel the air around me exuding a sense of treachery.
"I see. I also want to see how she will react."
"You keep spinning. Are you not getting dizzy?"
"Spinning in circles is quite fun." Lilith kept spinning around happily.
I pushed my hand against the swivel chair, exerting force to make it spin faster, letting her have her fill.
"I'm leaving now."
"Wait, Qin Yang, wait..." Lilith kept spinning in circles while talking in short bursts.
"What did you say?" I stopped Lilith, who was spinning like crazy.
Lilith took something out of her pocket, a round bead with a strange symbol inside.
"Since nobody else is here, why don't you tell me what this thing is? It seems like something you didn't have before."
"This thing is a souvenir from a class reunion I attended a few days ago. They shouldn't suspect even this, it seems like not only my father needs a karma recharge, but me too."
"Was it from elementary school or middle school?"
"The students I taught eighteen years ago."
"The class you substituted for? You can find that too!" Lilith spun in her chair, she really enjoyed the feeling of spinning.
Actually, even if they come back, they won't be able to find me. But it's difficult to gather so many people after more than ten years. It just so happens that one of them is now a professor in the university section, and I happened to be going to the library over there."
"I've never been to a human library. The Demon Realm also has a library, but most of the people who have read the books there are dead."
"The Demon Realm's libraries are Grimoires that eat people. They're not for reading."
Lilith seemed to recall something as she looked at the bead and asked, "Qin Yang, what about your mask?"
"Ma... mask?" I was just about to leave the room when Lilith asked me a question, a difficult question to answer. Judging by how Lilith asked about the bead earlier, if I were to tell the truth and say that I gave one to Situ Liyao, this answer probably wouldn't let me leave the room smoothly.
"Right, what about the iron mask you used to wear as Demon Dragon? I haven't seen it since we came back from the Demon Realm." Lilith looked like she was seriously trying to remember and said, "I don't think I've ever seen that mask since we came back."
"I...threw it away."
"Threw it away? I thought you could still play with it. It's a really cool mask."
"If I have the time, I'll just buy another one. You can get one online for a hundred bucks, either the top half or the bottom half, or divided into quarters, or you can buy a full-face mask for two hundred bucks, with interchangeable parts."
"That sounds fun... but I just wanted yours. You didn't give it away, did you? Qin Yang."
"Lilith, I'll buy another one when I get back."
"But it won't be the same. It hasn't been to The Demon Realm, and Demon Dragon hasn't worn it."
"I'll just wear it when I buy it. It's almost time. I have to go, we'll talk later."
"Hmph, I don't believe I won't find it. I'll find out where the iron mask went." Lilith made a strange expression as she spun in her chair. I was puzzled as to why she cared so much about the iron mask. It was just something I wore a few times.

The bell rang, and I stood outside the "Grade 2 Interrogation Room," waiting for the people inside to come out.
"Master!" someone suddenly shouted next to me. It was Qin Taiyuan, my summoner disciple, who hadn't appeared for a long time.
"Where's your little loli familiar?"
"She's here." Qin Taiyuan had dressed his familiar in a cute outfit, but the little girl was too shy to come out and was hiding.
"I haven't seen you guys for the past few days. Why are you here today?" I ruffled the little girl's hair and smiled at her. She shyly hugged Qin Taiyuan's leg.
"Master! I tried using the ring you gave me last time. It can enhance equipment for summoning beasts."
"Does it work on familiars?"
"It works if the ring is worn by the familiar, but it has no effect when I wear it." Qin Taiyuan said these things, and I already knew that. If Horus counted as a summoning beast, it could use particles as equipment, so the principle was the same.
"Okay, here's the plan. It might not be very effective for you to try it alone. Go catch the criminal who's sniping on 'Lower Litigation Day' with Qin Ying. If you can help, Qin Ying's foot injury should heal faster. Although I told her not to walk for three days, three days is a stretch."
"Yes, Master! And by the way, do you have any new prey here?"
"You're being nosy. Use your familiar to build a bond when you have free time!" I kicked his butt, urging him to leave quickly. He was wasting my time. Actually, I gave Qin Taiyuan the ring to see if he could use the power of particles to unlock the true form of his familiar, the Jiao, but clearly he couldn't.
"Qin Taiyuan is your disciple. You should give him more time to teach." Shi Xueqi left the classroom with her textbook in her arms.
"I still need to do something, let's go."
"Don't you want to give me time to change clothes?" Shi Xueqi frowned, a little upset that I was pushing too hard.
"I haven't even changed my uniform. Why do you need to change? Time is running out, and if you insist on dragging it out, I might suspect you."
Shi Xueqi sighed unwillingly and said, "I'll leave my books here and go with you."
Five minutes later, Shi Xueqi and I stood at the bus stop of the academy.
"Qin Yang, didn't you say you were in a hurry? Why are you taking public transportation with me?"
"Did I say we're taking the bus?"
Suddenly, a tall SUV stopped in front of us, and a dignified maid stepped out of the driver's seat.
"Master!"
"Lan? My mother actually sent you."
"The madam wants me to help you overcome your fears."
"Fear? You're not the type to play maid at home and have various perverse fetishes, are you?" Shi Xueqi looked at me, and also at Lan's expression, and her thoughts suddenly went astray.
"Don't talk nonsense. I don't spend much time at home."
After we got in the car, Lan's mood became somewhat unstable, and I had a bad feeling, so I fastened my seatbelt as soon as I got in.
"Master, where is the address?"
I looked at Shi Xueqi and asked her to tell Lan the address.
"Here you go." Shi Xueqi wrote the address on a tissue, which was indeed near the location of the train incident eighteen years ago.
After Lan glanced at the address, she started the off-road vehicle and suddenly accelerated. The off-road vehicle crazily traversed the streets and alleys, leaving the capital city. The address was in a suburban town between the capital city and another city called Jincheng. Jincheng is a scenic city, and the scenery in the town should be nice. However, for now, I just wanted to figure out how to calm Lan's mood.
"So you knew from the beginning... that she would be like this... bleh~~" Shi Xueqi, who was driving too recklessly, was already getting carsick.
"Wait! Here's a bag for you." Luckily, I reacted quickly, otherwise I would have been covered in vomit.
"Getting in the car and fastening seatbelts are good habits, Captain. You should remember that from now on."
"You... bleh~~" Shi Xueqi wanted to retort, but she couldn't control the gastric reflux in her chest.
"Captain, you might as well take a nap for now."
"You... bleh~~ Go and stabilize her!" Shi Xueqi was already dizzy, but she felt that solving the root cause would be better than enduring the suffering.
"Um... but I don't know how to stabilize her." Looking in the rearview mirror, I saw that Lan's expression was completely immersed in the frenzy of driving, and she was speeding so much that even the police didn't dare to touch her.
"Knock her out! You drive."
"Don't act recklessly. If you knock her out and crash the car into the nearby river, we'll have to swim over." Shi Xueqi's eyes became strange, and it seemed like she had figured out a solution. However, this solution was obviously not beneficial to me. At least, my instincts told me it was definitely not beneficial.
The speed of the off-road vehicle on the road slowed down, and the vehicle became stable. Shi Xueqi's complexion eased, and Lan, who was driving, became much more stable, with no more fluctuations in her mood.
"I knew it. I always end up losing out. Sigh~" I sat on the car roof, muttering to myself. The sound of the wind and the humidity in the air told me that it seemed like it was going to rain again. Is this adding insult to injury? The rain in this spring is really abundant.
I looked ahead and saw from the road signs that we still had three hundred kilometers to go to the town. We should arrive in two hours. I decided to take a nap on the car roof. If it starts raining in this weather, I'll let it rain.
"Sister, why do you get nervous whenever you see Qin Yang?" After Shi Xueqi recovered, she started gossiping. I could hear her very clearly as I lay on the car roof.
"Master... his eyes are just wrong."
"What do you mean by 'wrong' in his eyes?"
"I always feel that there's a kind of evil feeling in him, and also..." Lan stopped halfway through her sentence, and I realized she must have recalled that incident when I attacked her chest. But that wasn't my fault, who knew which part of her body those leaves were covering. It just looked like a pile of leaves, even her own father wouldn't be able to tell if it was her chest or her face!
"Knock knock!" I lightly tapped on the car roof and said, "Speak ill of someone behind their back."
