Chapter 14

1

The chopsticks in my right hand were aimed straight at the real dark figure, not the black cloak. I didn't actually hit it, though. The black cloak appeared three times behind me, a rather common attacking technique. But I had my left hand's chopsticks ready, guarding against the back.

The chopsticks in my left hand tore through its clothes, but it didn't feel like I hit its body. Could it also be a skeleton?

This black cloak realized it wasn't gaining the upper hand and immediately wanted to run, with the skeletons outside rushing in.

"Whoosh!"

The chopsticks in my right hand flew out, striking the oncoming skeleton from behind. Under my dark magic, the skeleton crumbled to the ground.

But the chopsticks stuck in its clothes, firmly lodged in the wall, and when it leaped onto the roof, the black cloak fell off.

"Meow...." It angrily cried out.

"Are you kidding me? I thought you were some sort of mage, but it turns out you're just a cat? And a red-haired one at that."

"You're the cat here. Look at my dignified pose. Bow down to me... Meow!"

"Screw you, you're clearly just a cat, and you're meowing!"

"Grr...." Its claws gleamed, and its fur stood on end.

I hated it when people scared me. Did it think I couldn't look fierce too?

My eyes turned red, fangs protruded, and I revealed the form of the Demon Dragon, surrounded by a thick aura of darkness, emanating authority.

"Meowww~" When you show a bit of fierceness, it backs down. This cat should just worship me already.

Vampire hunters burst through the door, and instantly realized trouble.

"Vampire!" Big sister and the others surrounded me.

"Get lost, silver swords won't work." I grabbed her shiny silver sword and exerted a bit of force, snapping it in half. "The one who really kills people is that cat."

"Meow!" The cat flipped over the roof and jumped onto the adjacent building.

Two bloodstained claws rose on either side of the house, smashing it to pieces.

"Boom." I shattered the falling debris with my arm, and the people behind me were fine. But the bloodstained claws blocked my dark magic, trying to protect their corporeal form. Don't mess with me.

"He's protecting us?" The vampire hunters looked surprisingly at this figure, a thin and frail body that looked like a teenager but contained unparalleled power, with no hostile intent whatsoever.

"If you can't catch that cat, how will you explain to the emperor? Are you going to capture me?" I turned my head and glanced at them, a kind reminder.

"We're vampire hunters, we'll only deal with vampires."

"They're pathetic vampires!" I leaped into the sky, hovering in mid-air, surrounded by golden flames as I jumped.

"Big sister, is this it?"

"We can't handle that cat. It's a red-eyed vampire, equally dangerous. Let them fight first, we'll take advantage of the situation later."

"Proud little cat, you're not from our Three Realms. Who summoned you?" I shouted into the empty sky. This small town had no tall buildings. Where did the red-haired cat hide?

"No one is worthy of summoning me, meow!" The little cat rode on a big, white skeleton head, slowly rising, as the skull emitted a blood-red energy glow.

"You feed the blood you've sucked to this big skeleton, what a waste."

"Only the big skeleton can protect me. People around here... all bully me, meow!" The red-haired cat's trembling paws even managed to fling tears onto my face.

"So, who dares to bully you! You are an elf - the Blood Jade Cat!" Having played with this cat for so long, I should know everything about it. Elves have their own world and shouldn't appear in our three realms unless summoned by a summoner. They only stay temporarily, unless the summoner dies and there is no one to guide them back. But this one wasn't summoned by anyone, and no one called for it. The Blood Jade Cat is a legend, an extremely fierce existence in the world of elves. It cannot be tamed and stands alone as its own king, feeding its massive skeleton with the blood of other elves. Either submit to it or give up your own blood. That's why it demanded my worship as soon as it opened its mouth.

"Mind your own business, meow!" The energy from the skeleton's skull rushed out of its mouth. Is it trying to kill me?

"... " I clenched my fist, ready to show it what I'm made of.

However, it seems like the bodyguard arrived too quickly. It's not Nofice, as she ordered her to stay at the inn. She's a mature woman in black leather clothes, with long flowing hair and a long black sword in her hand. Her hands holding the sword are positioned in front of her, and the elf energy on the blade is separated, dispersing on our left and right sides along with the flow of energy. Her hair also flows with the same momentum. When she turned her head back, my heart skipped a beat. What a beautiful figure. If a man doesn't feel attracted, he's not a man.

"Nana, I haven't made a move yet!"

Nana stood with the support of her sword, although it seemed effortless, she couldn't handle this blow.

"My duty as a bodyguard is not yet over!"

"I heard you've been waiting for me at the same place, but unfortunately, I didn't return to the right place."

"It doesn't matter. As long as I'm not dead, the pact is still intact, and I know where you are."

"Then why did you only appear now?"

"Because there was no danger before."

"How can you be like this? If there's no danger, you don't appear? You're one of my fiancées!" I put away my flaming hands and leisurely chat with her.

"I haven't agreed to it yet!"

I... well, at this moment, I don't feel like swearing.

"Meow, meow!" The big skeleton's two palms propped up from the ground, making a creepy cracking sound in this night.

"Can you do it again?"

"Does Demon Dragon-sama want to personally take action?"

"Here, take this!" I handed her the dark, seemingly iron-like and shield-like thing.

The big skeleton attacked again, and Nana took the black object. Accidentally, she scratched the contract on her right hand. At that moment, the black object was activated. Although it looked strange, after being hit by the elf's magic, Nana didn't seem to be affected at all. She withstood all the rebounded attacks with the shield, which disappeared into a network-like pattern.

Seeing this scene, I couldn't help but wonder where this strange thing came from. It resonated with the contract and was extremely hard. Could it be from that small world...? I don't know. I have no memory, and now there are two sets of memories in my mind, one seems real and the other is elusive.

At this moment, Nana had already approached and killed the crying skeleton without mercy. With one hand holding the sword, she mercilessly struck the skeleton right in the middle, causing its head to tilt and fall to the ground, just like the dinosaur fossils in a museum falling apart without any supporting nails.

"I... my skeleton... wuwuwu~~~~~" I took the opportunity to catch this Blood Jade Cat and it started crying. Wasn't it supposed to be the king of the elves? Yet here it was, crying.

"I heard that the Blood Jade Cat is the king in the world of elves, why does it look like this with you?"

"I... I'm not yet an adult, still... still not qualified to be a king, meow."

"Meow, you big-headed ghost, despite your young age, you still act so arrogant. Tell me, how did you end up here?"

"I fell into a spatial hole."

"A spatial hole? Did you arrive here two years ago?"

"Yes, they all treated me like a stray cat, no one liked me, and they bullied me! They threw stones at me."

"In ancient times, people believed that native cats bring bad luck. Even in this day and age, they still believe it. So, you should bite them to death, feeding the blood to the Big Skull."

"Only the Big Skull is my best friend. It can protect me!" The Blood Jade Cat's claws trembled wildly, unable to reach me.

It is likely that it arrived here when the "Pufferfish" exploded, causing a spatial displacement that coincidentally connected to the spatial hole it fell into. It's all because this cat is too mischievous.

"Now you can't go back. Just stay with Uncle! I promise you won't be bullied anymore, alright?"

"Why can't I go back?"

"Uh~~ Because you weren't summoned here. So, crossing dimensions requires powerful force. It's difficult to explain, and we don't have subtitles. Just listen and forget about it. Anyway, if there's a chance, I'll send you back, okay?"

"You are adopting a pet cat, aren't you?" Nana said, holding a long sword.

"I can adopt Spirit as pet. Isn't that prestigious?" The young Spirit King grew up. It can shake the world.
