Chapter Nine

1

"The front line confirms it's the 'Pufferfish'! Spatial transmission is 30% complete, but the main cannon is charged at least 60%."

In the report from the front line, the main cannon mothership, affectionately referred to as the 'Pufferfish,' can freely extend on both sides.

I entered the Duke's room once again, with no more than a two-hour interval, excluding the time for chatting, leaving me almost no time to rest and see Elena.

"Clearly, they started the transmission with over half charge, which is a serious violation of The Human Realm's flagship carrier operation protocol. They are risking a potential explosion at any moment."

"Wait, why are you discussing all this? We're at 60% charge, how much more do we have?" I walked in while they were still reading the report, feeling perplexed.

"Oh, don't worry, I still have an hour left. The evacuation has already begun," said a vice officer-looking person.

"An hour? And you think an hour is a lot now?"

"Our protective barrier will protect..."

"Bah!" I angrily grabbed his collar.

"You, you clueless fool, how did you even get this far in the military?" He clearly had no real understanding of the barrier. This barrier was insignificant in front of Tony. The main cannon mothership's attack was nothing compared to Tony's, but it could destroy the barrier. As a soldier, if you are not familiar with your own weapon, you should not let your guard down.

"What... What do you want?"

"Where's the Duke?" Among the discussing crowd, I didn't see my father's figure.

"Lord Duke is already on the front line!"

"Let me tell you, that main cannon has only ten minutes left to charge, and your enemy equipment data is from last year, you didn't even look at the year." I tapped on the date of the documents on the table.

The commander-in-chief has left, leaving behind these unreliable soldiers.

"Bai, don't bother looking at this time. Even in ten minutes, my father cannot make a decision. The Osley's main cannon mothership can't save a distant fire."

"Do you want me to go there directly and kill them?"

"Tony won't necessarily succeed in obstructing them in ten minutes."

"Well, then you tell me."

"There are still two and a half minutes left. If you have any ideas, speak up!"

"Smoke! Utilize my dragon scales to remotely control, use Smoke's main cannon quantity and charging time to perfectly defeat them."

"Cross-realm transmission, without going through the divine and demon gates, is very troublesome. We can open the passage, but whether it can accommodate Smoke is a crucial question."

"We can use external forces."

2

"Duke, it's a message from Qin Yang, the lord of the border town."

Frontline forces set up their defensive formation within two minutes, even if they didn't know if they could hold their ground, they had to fight for it.

"All the spatial Magic users?"

"Yes, the information is clear and urgently requires the Duke's decision."

"We don't have much time left. All spatial Magic users return to the central building and await Qin Yang's command. Everyone else - hold the line here."

The transportation chain in the rear of the border town must not be breached, otherwise, it would be an invasion.

Father's eyes were filled with seriousness, desperately needing a glimmer of hope.

3

The Demon Realm, the power source of Smoke - the Palace of Diamond-shaped Corners, the dragon scales floated with black and red blood color, as if returning to its body.

"What's going on?" The operator inside the palace had never seen anything like this before.

"Smoke is moving on its own, deviating from its original track."

"Can we intervene?"

"We don't have access, it seems the scales have gained consciousness."

"The construction of the five main cannon turrets is complete, charging will begin, full energy in one minute."

"Charging? Where to fire?" The operator was already starting to panic, unable to imagine that it was the unborn Demon Dragon operating.

"Up ahead... is a small spatial teleportation tunnel?"

"Send someone to check it out."

4

All the army's spatial mages were behind me, curiously observing the teleportation tunnel I created. This spatial teleportation tunnel was different from a teleportation array as it allowed objects to linger slowly within it.

"Divide yourselves into two teams. One team will help me expand the tunnel infinitely, while the rest lift the tunnel up into the cloud layer."

Completing it above the cloud layer would keep it concealed and prevent any harm to the border city from the massive smoke.

Moving the tunnel only took one minute, and the five main cannons of the floating smoke were already charged. When the tunnel was large enough, the floating smoke would directly fire through the tunnel. Though it was poison attacking poison, it was undeniable the best method.

"Large enough, it's time to try the power of the genuine article over the counterfeit!"

The floating smoke emerged from the front, passing through the teleportation tunnel. The appearance of the fully charged main cannons caused the elemental astral energy above the entire border city to go berserk. In an instant, all the cloud layers dissipated, and the glow from the main cannons projected out like a gift being unwrapped during a festival, sounding the horns of both surprise and terror.

"..." Even hundreds of miles away, there was complete silence. The sound waves were canceled out by invisible waves, and no sound could escape.

The energy from the main cannons was blinding, forcing oneself to open their eyes to see. Only to witness the five cannons hitting their marks. The main cannon mother ship, stuck in the middle of the transfer, instantly lost its front half. Not a single piece of debris fell out of the transfer portal, and the extraordinary energy feedback caused the teleportation tunnel to collapse. The energy with nowhere to go ultimately burst out from the other end of the portal, in a faraway area on the border of Dumin, instantly causing a military base to explode. No one saw what the exploded base became because no one had left that base.

2

The duke emerged from the anti-aircraft bunker and exclaimed, "Fools reap what they sow."

It was mockery, blatant mockery towards Dumin. Passing the charging mother ship through the spatial teleportation tunnel was already an extremely dangerous move. The result of the energy reflecting back into the entrance was not unprecedented, nor would it be the last in the long history of magic development.

"Gather everyone and notify the troops outside the border city, The Othrie Empire —— Attack!"

"Ahoo!!" The troops behind the duke cheered fervently.

3

"These foolish humans actually messed things up!" Tony said as he swung his blade down, chopping off a head dripping with blood. It was the head of a Dumin officer. Tony knew I was Qin Yang, and he knew that this was The Human Realm from twenty years ago. He couldn't think of any way to make Dumin "rightfully" kill my father here during the war, so he instigated Dumin to use their most powerful move.

"And for those who messed with my plans, their heads shouldn't stay hanging by a thread." Tony touched his bald head and glanced at the trembling officers.

4

In the energy reserve area behind Dumin, Lilith had blue flames billowing around her. She stood atop a towering mechanized suit, limbs and arms scattered around her. Dumin's demon soldiers surrounded her layer by layer, but she remained calm. Behind her were the surviving infiltrators from The Othrie Empire.

"Notice, can we leave now?" Lilith shouted loudly.

"Everyone is here, let's go!" Nofice drew a teleportation circle and took them all away.

Walking beside them all along, Galyu suddenly said curiously, "Tony hasn't shown up yet. What's going on?"
