Prologue

1

Ancient ruins are not uncommon in The Demon Realm, but there is one particular site that is quite unique, and the place where I am standing is that unique place. For me, the ruins are not something long ago, considering that when I was still a Demon Dragon, it was just a desolate hill. The only remarkable thing about this place was that it used to be a tomb for dragons. Every purebred dragon would come here before their death, excluding dragon-human hybrids and descendants of dragons and other races. It was peculiar how all the purebred dragons would choose to die here, with their bodies facing the top of the mountain, forming a rectangular shape.

I once studied one of these stones, spending more than ten years, but it remained just an ordinary stone.

And now, this place has been transformed into a massive palace built by the demon race thirteen million years ago. It is called a palace, but I prefer to call it a tomb because every dragon ends up here. Others believe that the Demon Dragon would return here as well, although the body of the Demon Dragon was never found here. The demon race at that time believed that I would peacefully depart from this world like any other dragon when nobody was around to witness it.

"Demon Dragon, your tomb was built for you over thirteen million years ago! It can finally be used today!" The entire face of the speaker is covered in a chilling frost, emitting a cold air that freezes everything it touches. The ground beneath the speaker is layered with ice.

"King of Frost, Gauru... the invincible king for over thirteen million years... finally has the courage to kill me!" I have already been gravely wounded by Gauru, the King of Frost, and I am hanging on an ice wall.

Any one of the Ten Demon Kings is not easy to deal with, but if even Gauru cannot be defeated today, then the name of the Demon Dragon will become worthless in The Demon Realm.

"On the eve of the battle between gods and demons, you said that the Ten Demon Kings were all cowards, that no one dared to kill you. That was because we did not have the power to defeat you back then!"

"So you mean if I were still the same as before, you... wouldn't even dare to lift your head!"

"If 'if' were true, then let's say it! But now, you are nothing more than an insignificant child, foolishly trying to take on the name of the Demon Dragon. That is your biggest mistake."

"Hahaha... if you kill me today, tomorrow everyone in The Demon Realm will think that you are the strongest in The Demon Realm, equivalent to ruling The Demon Realm. Do you really think it's that easy?"

"Hmph! Only a fool like you and Yuzie would think that, so blindly following behind your weak self." Gauru inserts an ice cone into his palm, causing a piercing pain that prompts me to grit my teeth. I refuse to show my pain in front of him.

"That... is the smartest thing about Yuzie!" Blood flows on top of the cold ice, freezing the hot blood, creating an extremely proud ice.

Gauru turns his back to me, mockingly saying, "Now, you are neither a god nor a demon, just a mere human!"

"Roar!" A dragon's cry echoes through the wilderness, filled with extreme arrogance!

"Black, Gauru is not like the lackeys from The Divine Realm last time. If he separates his soul from his body, he can easily capture you with your dragon command emblem. And our opposing forces make it impossible for us to restrain him! "

"It's just you and me, we won't be able to stir up a storm in a human body!"

"Not necessarily, it's not just you and me now!"

"Crack!" My angry gaze locked onto the King of Cold, and upon his command, the golden-inlaid giant sword, hidden deep within the depths of time, broke through the soil and appeared vertically in midair.

The King of Cold turned around in shock, while my broken hands wielded the ice spears with all my might, even if it meant the blood flowing like a river.

"Black! We don't know how effective his methods are, this is a gamble that risks our souls!"

"Even if it's possible that we can't separate, it doesn't mean we will disappear!"

The giant sword hovered in front of my chest, its asymmetrical carvings resembling a spinal column running through the blade, giving the sword an eerie color. The length of the sword's blade alone was about 1.7 meters, and halfway up the sword, there was a hole about the size of an apple that I still didn't know the purpose of.

"Do you like playing with flying swords? You don't even have a handle!"

That's right, in the eyes of the King of Cold, this sword only had a blade, no handle.

"The handle is here!" I pulled out Demon Dragon's sword from the void — "Devourer of Gods!"

"Devourer of Gods" surged with dark energy, crazily draining my magic power. White and I had always been reluctant to draw our own swords again because they were too hard on human bodies.

"Crack!" The sword embedded itself into the giant sword from top to bottom. When the blade of "Devourer of Gods" passed through the hole, the dark energy seemed to find its rightful place, and all the darkness formed a line that ran through and displayed itself within and outside the giant sword.

"Crack, crack!" Finally, the handle of "Devourer of Gods" matched perfectly with the giant sword, and the two swords became one.

My thoughts were unusually clear, and I felt very present, the second time I had experienced such a sensation.

"Demon Dragon?" In the perception of the King of Cold, the person before him seemed to suddenly become blurry and extremely unfamiliar.

"Oh? Demon Dragon is just an incomplete name for me, and it's not even my real name, just a symbol. In my eyes, please call me - the Dragon of Space and Time, Resgolog! But I still prefer my new name - Qin Yang!"

Two weeks ago, in the home where I had lived in The Human Realm for ten years.

"Brother~~~ Onee-chan!" Wenxin tugged at my sleeve, holding onto my right hand with no intention of letting go. She had even resorted to calling me by that nickname, Wenxin was relentless, she wouldn't give up until she succeeded.

"Bringing you along won't help much, and I'm not going on vacation. You know it's dangerous!" I packed my clothes with my left hand, it was almost time, I had to catch the plane.

The Gate of Gods and Demons was located in the eastern oceans of the empire. In the history textbooks, the Gate of Gods and Demons was once a place of danger and the unknown. It was the crossroads of the Three Realms, whether to enter The Divine Realm or The Demon Realm. The Human Realm had spent thousands of years to develop a targeted teleportation system using the Gate, which began the process of internal exploration. In the following centuries, it rapidly developed and established trade and transportation routes with the gods and demons, but year after year, they were unable to control the low-cost construction costs. In 1.3 million years, there were only a thousand routes.

"Then how can you just take Lilith with you? I agree, but Hanya and the others don't!"

"Lilith is going back to see her father, strictly speaking, we are going the same way."

"Ahhhh!"

"Oh, Wenxin!" I placed both hands on Wenxin's shoulders and softly said, "Our parents have already died once, and it wasn't easy for them to come back to you. Shouldn't you spend more time with them?"

"But..."

"Look!" We stood in the hallway upstairs, and Wenxin's parents were downstairs, holding teacups and smiling.

"Dad!" Wenxin had no idea to restrain himself.

"Wenxin, let go of your brother. There are people waiting outside, and it's been a hard journey for them!"

"I'm leaving!"

As I opened the door, there were only black-clad figures waiting outside - emissaries from the Underworld.
