Chapter 19

1

"Sister, did you know that Hanya is afraid of cats?" Bai Teng questioned with a hint of sarcasm, mocking my ignorance about Hanya's fear of cats. On the contrary, I thought she liked cats.

"During the summer vacation, wasn't Hanya dressed as a cat girl at the exhibition? Don't you like cats?"

"I...I can't like cats and be afraid of them?"

"Logically, if you are fond of cats, you shouldn't resist them, right?"

"I like cats in cartoons, but I'm just scared when real cats appear in front of me. What's wrong with liking cat girl costumes?" Hanya seemed to dislike us continuing to discuss her liking for cats.

"It's coming over!" The stray cat slowly approached us.

"Let's go!" Hanya quietly pulled me away.

The person behind me became more hostile, and the closer Hanya was to me, the more Bai Teng stared at me with intense hostility, making the hairs on my back stand up.

"I heard that Qin had a sparring match with our master! Did he win?"

"How could he? Just a high school student, it must have been difficult!"

"Look at you with your white hair, I thought you were good at pretending, turns out you're quite honest!"

"It's natural for my hair to be like this, it may not look as good as the dyed ones!"

"When did you become so narcissistic?" Hanya had some objections to my words.

"It's not narcissism, it's just a fact!"

"We're here!" Hanya pointed at the pet shop in front of us, feeling particularly happy. Going home, anyone would appear joyful. If going home feels as heavy as a stone, is it still considered home? The feeling of home that I have experienced in the past ten years is actually quite good.

This home consists of Hanya, Hanya's uncle, aunt, and cousin. Hanya's uncle is a veterinarian, and all kinds of pets, whether sick or not, come to him. Aunt is a true philanthropist. Although the family is not wealthy, they love to take in stray animals. Cousin is in the third year of junior high school, but she is an art student. She spends more time in the art studio than in the classroom.

Hanya's home is upstairs from the pet shop. After briefly greeting everyone, Hanya hurriedly pulled me into her room.

"Why did you bring me in here when you were supposed to change clothes?"

"Just watch me change!"

"But... Isn't it inappropriate?"

"Inappropriate?" Hanya had an expression as if nothing were happening while taking off her outer clothes, leaving only a white shirt underneath.

I didn't know where to look, so I had to secretly close my eyes and pretend to be asleep.

"Open your eyes!" With Hanya's voice came the sound of rustling clothes. I felt like I had some inappropriate thoughts popping up in my mind.

"Is... Is that the new one you bought?"

"Yes, it is!"

I could see everything in front of me, but I felt dizzy. A strange feeling, like something about to burst, made me very uncomfortable and itching to do something!

I placed my hand on Hanya's shoulder, and the atmosphere suddenly became tense. I said, "Hanya! There's someone outside!"

"I don't care!" Hanya pulled me slightly, not using much force, but I didn't resist either. Anyway, we just lay there on Hanya's dark green bed, feeling that the bed was quite comfortable.

"Don't you think this angle is more enjoyable, Qin Yang?"

"Yeah, it's really good. Let's put on clothes first! Otherwise..."

"No, we never have much time alone. I just want this second to stop, let me get tired of this feeling before time continues."

"Time, it's the hardest Magic to control, almost uncontrollable, so... let's still dress properly and get along!"

"Why, are you not interested?" Hanya's eyes were so confused and perplexed.

"Who taught you that!"

"Online!" Hanya didn't hesitate.

"Don't browse random websites in the future."

"But..."

"Click!" We all heard the sound coming from the door.

"We can't just ignore that, right?"

"Chen... Jier!" Hanya stared fiercely at the crack in the door, with curious eyes.

"Cousin, I'm keeping watch for you guys! If Mom and Dad see, you'll be in big trouble." Chen Jier is Hanya's cousin. I thought, with Hanya's own uncle having the last name Chen, wouldn't she suspect her own teacher?

"You blockhead, what are you thinking? We're looking at clothes!"

"You're the one who's been clueless! Baiteng is implementing the mother-in-law policy in the kitchen, and you're having an affair in the room. That's not good, really."

"So, the real idiot is here!" Hanya sat up, calmly put on her clothes, while her cousin confidently opened the door and started chatting happily.

"My mom thought he was trying to woo me!"

"Isn't he?"

"No, I'm waiting for my prince charming! Sob~~~" That 45-degree angle, looking up at the sky and daydreaming, where did she learn that?

"Qin Yang!" Hanya looked at me as I approached the door, immediately speaking to stop me.

"It's girls' chat, obviously without me. I'll go help Auntie." Of course, at this time, I should seize the opportunity and withdraw.

3

I didn't know what the two girls talked about in the room, how big their topic could be. Respecting others' privacy, it's not right to eavesdrop, so I gladly joined the team in the kitchen.

"There's a little more cooking tonight!" Hanya's uncle had a small stubble and habitually touched it with his index finger and thumb, strong and powerful wrists. Such a rough man could actually hold a scalpel, I believe he can hold a big knife.

"Xiaoya brought a classmate home for the first time, a male classmate." Auntie pointed straight to today's point.

"Qin, are you in the same class as our Xiaoya?" I regretted sitting across from Hanya's uncle. After looking up, we were face to face, naturally the topic veered towards me.

"Same grade, different class."

"How did you two meet?" The questioning phase, as parents, there were questions that must be answered.

"Um... at the summer exhibition."

"Dad, your question is off-topic. The focus should be on: what is your relationship with Hanya?" Kids ask direct questions, Hanya's cousin had no pretense, no need for preambles, no need to gauge the atmosphere, she asked the most wanted question by everyone.

"Student council..."

"Fiancé!" Hanya interrupted my words.

"Cough... " I heard a sound as if someone choked on something, it seemed hard for them to accept. I didn't plan to say it out, but after being poked through, I helplessly nodded.

"Ah!" Baiteng raised a long wooden sword, although I don't know where he got it from, but I really haven't seen him have this thing around him before.

As someone who has always been able to catch a sword barehanded, it was effortless for me to catch his.

"Slap!" Hanya's Uncle's rough hand slammed on the dining table as he stood up straight and said, "You, come out!" There was no doubt that his finger was pointing at me.
