Chapter 16: The Gap in Strength
update icon Updated at 2023/7/23 18:10:11

"What's going on!?" Hulk exclaimed in shock as the sudden tornado caught everyone's attention. Hulk covered his eyes with one hand.

The immense power and the impact it had on the surrounding terrain... this could only be the strength of a peak super-class being!

In this mountain range, Smov is undoubtedly the strongest wind attribute monster.

Could it be that the Stormlord - Smov has already grown to the level of a peak super-class? Hulk had been quite a distance away from the tornado for centuries, but the pressure still made him feel like he was there and he even felt that the tornado had reached the realm of a demigod.

If he were to be caught in the tornado, he couldn't guarantee his own safety.

However, compared to the shocked Hulk, Bagil had an excited expression on his face.

"Guys! Give it your all, hold on until Lord Slu arrives!"

"Yes!!!"

As the words fell, the mercenaries seemed to be motivated and became more excited.

But in front of these well-trained knights, they were still like scattered sand.

"Slu?" Hulk's pupils constricted as he shouted at Bagil, who was riding on a magic wolf, "What is he planning to do with such a commotion!?"

"Humph! How could a lackey of the empire like you understand what Lord Slu wants to do?" Bagil replied without looking back, commanding the mercenaries to quickly escape from the encirclement of the knights.

This situation made Hulk feel uneasy.

Why didn't Slu show up directly and instead sent these bunch of worthless mercenaries from the mercenary group?

His intuition told him that there must be a plan brewing behind all this.

With that in mind, Hulk knew he couldn't just let the mercenaries escape like that. He had to deal with these troublemakers before things got worse!

He unsheathed his elemental sword, dismounted from his horse, and under the influence of the peak-class magic power, he moved much faster than his warhorse.

"If you insist on challenging me, don't blame me for losing patience!"

"What!?" Bagil heard the rumbling behind him and turned around, sucking in a breath of cold air.

He saw Hulk wielding his sword, cutting through all the obstacles in front of him, crushing the felled trees that obstructed the escape route of the magic wolf.

In no time, Bagil was caught up.

Seeing the situation was not going well, Bagil prepared to jump off the magic wolf and escape from the nearby slope, but how could Hulk give him that chance?

He leaped forward, approaching Bagil from behind, then used his other hand to grab him by the back of his neck, forcefully pressing him down on the ground, quickly subduing him.

"You bastard!"

Kissing the ground, Bagil cursed with a mouthful of soil and weeds, causing him to feel nauseous.

"Don't underestimate the knights of the empire!" Hulk shouted, "Where have you hidden Princess Anna? Spit it out!"

"Heh heh, Anna? I don't know where she is..."

"Tell me honestly!"

Seeing that he showed no remorse, Hulk threw a heavy punch at his back.

"I don't have time to waste with you here! If anything happens to Princess Anna in your hands, you and your mercenaries can expect to die as punishment!"

"Tsk! Someone like you...as long as Lord Slu comes...if he comes..." Bagil's face turned red with pain as he gritted his teeth, wanting to break free, but how could his strength compare to Hulk, who possessed peak-class power?
