"Dong!"

"Splash!"

Something hit the table, causing the stack of books on it to fall to the ground.

Kellen, who was sleeping in the pile of books, was abruptly awakened. He looked down in surprise at the girl who had fallen to the ground.

She appeared to be about seventeen or eighteen years old, wearing a school uniform. From the back, her graceful figure was intriguing.

Her long blue hair cascaded down her back, her slender waist tightly wrapped, and her legs, clad in black knee-high socks, curled slightly as if in great pain.

Clearly, the poor girl lying on the ground was the one who collided with Kellen's table.

Different memories flooded Kellen's mind, making it difficult for him to distinguish what was real.

"Am I reincarnated?"

He touched his chest with his hand, feeling the powerful beating of his heart, giving him a sense of awakening from a dream.

Betrayed by former friends and branded a traitor to be scorned by all, his family ruined and his name tarnished forever, the sight of them laughing and reveling as they severed his head was vividly imprinted in his mind.

He was unwilling, especially the smug laughter he witnessed before his head hit the ground.

But unfortunately, he realized it all too late. By the time he awakened, everything had already been set in stone.

The once powerful Duke's family had finally fallen into despair.

Thinking of the coldness of the sword on his neck, his heart became much clearer.

Since everyone said I am a villain, then perhaps this time I shall truly become one.

Kellen couldn't fully understand what these attribute points were for yet, but it didn't affect his ability to make the right choice.

Next to the girl's fallen sleeve, a scroll with black patterns dropped out. It was something kept in the library's secret room, containing records of dangerous magic.

Dangerous, but not lethal. Although it was called a forbidden scroll, its rarity was not high, and Kellen's family's warehouse was filled with a bunch of them.

However, the control of this kind of knowledge was very strict, and ordinary commoners rarely had access to it.

Seemingly aware of Kellen's gaze, the girl disregarded her pain and hid the scroll back into her sleeve, then stood up unsteadily.

From her tightly clenched teeth, it was evident that she had fallen quite hard.

"I'm sorry, it's all my fault. Let me help you pick up the books."

Her eyes flickered as she bent down to pick up the books that had fallen to the ground.

This familiar scene reminded Kellen of memories from his previous life. It seemed like this was the beginning of her rise.

In his previous life, Kellen was mentally unwell and didn't notice the scroll, allowing her to deceive him. This time, it wouldn't be as simple.

Today was truly a special day. It was not only a turning point in her destiny, but also his own.

"Anna, let's put aside picking up the books for now. I think we can talk about more interesting things." Kellen walked over and firmly grabbed the wrist of the hand that was hiding the scroll.

The girl in front of him was the sister of the person who stepped on his head...

If revenge was what he sought, why not start with her sister?

She was also one of the people who persecuted him, and calling her an enemy wouldn't be much of a stretch. So, Kellen felt no psychological pressure in bullying her.

"What do you want, Kellen? Let go of me!" Anna anxiously locked eyes with Kellen. In her perception, the useless nobleman that he used to be no longer exists. The Kellen standing in front of her now is constantly exuding a dangerous aura.

"Bang!"

Without saying a word, Kellen presses her wrist and pins her against the wall, bringing his handsome face close to hers, examining her with aggressive eyes.

"Anna, can't you guess what I want to do?"

The close proximity of his scorching breath makes Anna's heart race with anxiety. She is afraid of what Kellen might do to her, but she is even more afraid that Kellen saw the forbidden scroll she had just discovered.

If this were to be exposed, not only would she be expelled from the Royal Academy of Magic, but she would also face cruel imprisonment.

All she can do now is pray that Kellen didn't see the scroll falling on the ground just now.

But as luck would have it, while she's lost in thought, Kellen directly retrieves the scroll from her sleeve.

"What are you doing? Give it back to me!"

Anna is startled and quickly jumps up to snatch the scroll held high by Kellen.

"Hush!" Faced with the girl's commotion, Kellen calmly says, "If Anna keeps speaking so loudly, you might attract others.

What expression do you think they will have if they see the esteemed Anna committing the taboo act of stealing a scroll?

Well, I'm suddenly curious, so go ahead and shout louder!"

Upon hearing Kellen's words, Anna falls silent. She hangs her willow-like eyebrows and pleads with a pitiful expression, "I know I was wrong, please don't tell anyone, okay?"

"Not okay," Kellen shakes his head calmly.

Suddenly, Anna feels like crying.

She bites her lip and looks up at Kellen resentfully, saying, "You've changed, Kellen. You used to be different. Now you're no different from those disgusting noble scoundrels.

And aren't you friends with Paul? Isn't it a bit too much to bully your friend's sister like this?"

Disgust fills Anna's gaze. If she weren't being held by a grip, she would have slapped Kellen.

Yesterday, Kellen in her eyes was a useless waste without any ability or achievements. Today, Kellen has transformed into a decadent nobleman.

Kellen pinches Anna's smooth and delicate face and shakes his head, saying, "Anna, don't mix up the concepts. You committed a wrongdoing and now you're seeking forgiveness.

The way you rambled just now was as if I made a mistake and had to forgive you.

If you want to stay peacefully in jail, you can leave now."

After speaking, Kellen puts the forbidden scroll back into her palm, while he calmly picks up the book from the ground and places it back on the table.

It is still class time now, and there are no extra people in the library. No one saw what just happened except for him.

He is not worried that Anna will escape or deny it; it has no effect on him.

Having done all this, Kellen leaves without looking back and walks towards the exit of the library.

He knows very well that Anna will not let him leave like this.

"Wait!"

As Kellen had predicted, Anna hobbles towards him, grabbing his hand and gritting her teeth. She says, "I can agree to any request you have, but please don't tell anyone and especially don't tell my little brother about this."

Anna knows very well that if her actions were exposed, not only would her life be ruined, but her little brother would also be affected.

"A wise choice. Sign this." Saying that, Kellen takes out a contract and slaps it in front of Anna. He squints his eyes and smiles mischievously, "Since you sincerely begged me, I will naturally give you a chance. After all, I'm not a demon."

Looking at what was recorded on the contract, Anna's eyes widened in shock as she exclaimed, "A slave contract!"
