Lori: “Mmh~ it’s me again~!”
Lori: “I’m your host again today~”
Lori: “And I’ve got good news~ Joan is back~”
Joan: “Greetings, everyone.”
Lori: “I’m gonna keep singing today too~ Cheer for me~”
The moment Lori said that, everyone below the stage panicked. Joan, completely at a loss, stared at the staff and audience who were suddenly in an uproar.
Joan tilted her head. “Did something happen while I was gone?”
Director in the audience: “......”
Joan: “I see.”
After listening to the director’s explanation, Joan finally understood everything. Her gaze toward Lori changed on the spot.
Director in the audience: “......”
Joan: “Got it. I definitely won’t let Miss Lori sing.”
All the staff were overjoyed when they learned that Joan was back.
Joan: “Let’s get to the main topic. Today’s guests were arranged by the Creator. I’ve heard there are four of them.”
Lori froze. “Eh! Why are there so many this time?!”
Joan: “Mm. Apparently, the four of them have never interacted with us, but they’ve had dealings with my brother. And they’re all from different worlds.”
Lori: “Different worlds? You mean there are people from other worlds besides ours?”
Joan: “Yep. And I’ve heard a lot more people from other worlds will be coming later.”
Lori: “No way, really? Then what do they look like?”
Joan: “I haven’t seen them either. I’m curious too.”
Lori: “Then what are we waiting for~ Let’s bring them out already~”
Lori couldn’t sit still anymore. She jumped up from her seat, eyes locked on the entrance.
Joan: “Mm. Let’s give them a warm welcome.”
Joan: “Please welcome today’s guests: Mr. Jieming, Mr. Wang Ha, Miss Chongyin, and, last but not least, Miss Tsukihime.”
Jieming: “Hey~! I’m Jieming. That’s right, the most handsome man in existence. In my world, I’m the Child of God.”
Jieming: “Don’t ask me what ‘Child of God’ is supposed to mean, ’cause I don’t know either. It’s just a title other people gave me.”
Jieming: “I might show up on the show again later, so I’ll be in your care from now on.”
Jieming came on with a grin on his face, and kept that smile the whole time—unlike the next guest.
Wang Ha: “......”
Wang Ha stood beside Jieming without saying a word, cold air constantly seeping out from his body.
Joan smiled slightly. “This guest is a bit special.”
Lori: “I can feel a really strong death aura on him. Just like those frauds in the Underworld. Except all they share is the aura.”
Joan: “Oh? Really?”
Lori: “Yeah.”
“Chongyin.”
Chongyin was slightly better than Wang Ha. Even though cold air also wrapped around her like it did around him, the chill was different. Wang Ha’s cold came from the chill of death itself, while Chongyin’s cold came from the purest ice element, on top of her own physique.
“This one’s name is Tsukihime.”
The last was Tsukihime. Among the four, her smile was the most refined. She looked just like an elegant young noble lady.
Joan glanced down at the info sheet in her hand. “Miss Tsukihime, may I ask you a question?”
Tsukihime: “Go ahead~”
Joan: “Thank you.”
Joan: “There’s something that really bothers me. The profile says you’re connected to my brother, but it doesn’t say what your exact relationship is.”
Lori leaned in close to Joan. “Eh!? For real? Tsukihime? Moonless? Are you Moonless’s family or something?”
Tsukihime kept her smile, but didn’t answer. She just quietly watched Joan and Lori.
Joan: “So, Miss Tsukihime, could you answer that question?”
Tsukihime: “I could. But if I do, the Creator-sama might get into serious trouble. Are you sure that’s okay?”
Lori: “It’s fine. As far as I know, the Creator’s super cheeky. I’ve heard tons of people wanna beat the crap out of him.”
Joan sounded doubtful. “No way, that can’t be true!”
Lori: “It is. I checked the Creator’s info yesterday, especially that thing called the QQ group. Everyone in there was talking about how to boil the Creator and eat him.”
Joan: “That’s terrifying.”
“Is that so? Then I doubt the Creator-sama would mind being killed.”
A trace of mischief flashed across Tsukihime’s face.
Lori: “Spit it out. What’s your relationship with Moonless?”
Tsukihime: “Before that, I have a question for you.”
Lori: “Me? What’s there to ask about me?”
Tsukihime: “It’s simple. What’s your wish?”
Lori: “My wish, huh~”
Lori sank into the daydream she’d just imagined. Her face grew redder and redder, and she even looked a little intoxicated.
Lori: “I want to become Moonless’s bride, and then have our own children. Mmh~ this is so embarrassing!”
Tsukihime: “I see. Your wish will come true.”
Lori: “Eh? Really? You mean Moonless will marry me?”
The happiness hit her so suddenly that Lori didn’t even think to question Tsukihime’s words. She just fell deeper into her blissful fantasy, a puff of light smoke practically rising from the top of her head.
Joan: “Then what exactly is your relationship with my brother, Miss Tsukihime?”
Tsukihime smiled a little. “What if I said we’re father and daughter? Would you believe me?”
Joan suddenly grew serious. “That kind of joke isn’t funny at all.”
Tsukihime: “Haha~”
Joan: “What’s so funny?”
Joan was clearly displeased by Tsukihime’s laughter—especially after hearing her claim to be Moonless’s daughter. For some reason, the moment she heard that Moonless had a daughter, Joan’s heart suddenly throbbed with pain, a suffocating kind of pain.
“What if I said it’s true? Would you believe me then?”
The smile on Tsukihime’s face hadn’t faded for even a second.
Joan: “Then who’s your mother?!”
Tsukihime didn’t answer. She glanced at Joan first, then turned to look at Lori, whose “connection” had clearly cut out, and finally brought her gaze back to Joan. Her smile deepened.
Tsukihime: “My mother is—”
“Akito Ma-dai!!!”
A certain salted-fish author sprinted onto the stage at absurd speed, cutting her off mid-sentence and forcibly ending today’s show.
Jieming: “Wait! I still have a ton of stuff I wanna say! You can’t treat us like this!”
Jieming: “I protest!”
Salted-fish author: “Protest denied!”
Salted-fish author: “That’s it for today’s show!”
With that dramatic intrusion and announcement from the salted-fish author, today’s little skit came to an abrupt end.
