"Roar!"

In the dark and dusty underground palace, the knight in shining armor adorned with magical runes waved his hammer, which was burning with fierce fighting spirit flames, towards the lightly armored woman holding a sword and shield in front of him.

The woman let out a roar and raised her shield without hesitation, exerting all her strength to resist. Her body was enveloped in a dazzling purple fighting spirit flame. Standing behind her was a girl wearing a blue wizard robe, who quickly waved her wand to add a thick layer of magic shield to her.

"Boom!"

The hammer and the steel shield collided, causing the air around them to distort and explode. With a faint sound of crystal shattering, the magic shield only lasted for a moment before shattering. The woman spat out blood, her joints cracking, but the fighting spirit on her body grew even stronger as she withstood the blow from the armor. She clenched her teeth, enduring the pain, twisted her body, and instantly chopped off the knight's armor legs with her sword. Then, she took advantage of the situation and stabbed the knight's chest, piercing through the armor.

The armor emitted a dense cracking sound, and a large amount of magic lightning spurted out from the pierced area, soon dissipating on the ground, turning into a pile of ordinary armor.

"Haina... we're here! Ahead is the tomb of Saint Flora!" the woman excitedly said to the wizard girl behind her. "As long as we get Saint Flora's personal pendant, the 'Spring of Sip', the princess will be saved! Saint Flora is the most powerful spirits practitioner in the history of the continent. Even her personal accessory has powerful healing and calming effects. We'll be able to... wow!"

Before she could finish speaking, she spat out blood, her expression drooping.

"Captain!" Haina exclaimed in shock.

"Cough... I'll open the gate for you. There should be more armored guards inside the tomb, and I'll try my best to hold them back. You use your levitation spell to get the Spring of Sip and run, don't waste time because of me," the captain forced a bitter smile.

"The rest of the team is dead. Captain, you have to make it back alive, or how can I explain to everyone..." Tears streamed down Haina's face.

"This is not the time for such words! Get the Spring of Sip, save the princess's life, save our country!" the captain shouted in a hoarse voice. "We broke into Saint Flora's tomb without authorization. Even if we manage to escape, the church won't let go of me, the leader. But as long as the princess survives the nameless creature that keeps appearing in her dreams, she can lead our people to restore the country! Regain our last hope! Cough... get ready!"

The captain staggered forward, summoning all his strength from exhaustion and pain. He forcefully opened the heavy stone door of the tomb.

"Ugh—" A deep roar suddenly sounded right next to them.

They both looked up and saw two huge stone statues standing behind the stone door. The statues were as tall as six people and were adorned with dazzling magical runes. A giant Magic core burned and spun crazily on their chests. Just standing there, a sense of death had already gripped the captain and Haina's throats.

"The Supreme Golems..." the captain and Haina's hearts sank simultaneously.

The Supreme Golems were the most powerful magical servants in the world. With just one punch, they could turn even the mighty Rank 8 warriors into dust, and their magic waves were equivalent to the magic of Rank 7 wizards. Although the captain was a Rank 7 warrior and already very strong, he didn't even have the qualification to escape in front of them. How did two of them appear in this tomb at the same time? What kind of backing did the church set up for this tomb?

Now, they couldn't even buy a second of time, let alone holding them back.

"It's over..."

"Wuwuwu!!" The Supreme Golems roared angrily, and their huge fists descended at a speed that didn't match their massive size. The captain and Haina's vision instantly turned dark.

Silence...

"Um, excuse me, can I interrupt?" Suddenly, a boy's voice came from behind them.

The fist of the Supreme Golem was just a foot away from their heads. They immediately turned around and saw a thin boy wearing black cloth armor and a black cloak standing behind them.He had silver-gray hair, turquoise-like blue-green eyes, pale skin, and a thin body. Each finger on both hands wore rings of various colors, making him look extremely eerie in this dark tomb.

"Are you a mage from the Holy See..." The captain finally couldn't hold on any longer, her legs gave way and she collapsed on the ground. "We failed..."

Haina also sat down on the ground and broke down crying.

"Wait, you've misunderstood, I don't know anyone from the Holy See." The boy suddenly waved his hand and said, his voice deep but pleasant to listen to. "I'm just a common wandering mage passing by. I saw two living people when I came in, so I took the opportunity to chat."

"Huh?" The captain's unfocused eyes suddenly regained a glimmer of hope, and Haina stopped crying in surprise.

"You want the belongings of the saint, right?" The boy smiled, revealing his snow-white teeth. "I don't like standing idly by while someone dies, it makes me feel useless. Since I'm passing by and I don't need those things, I'll give them to you. Just don't go around talking about it as a favor when you leave."

"Are you crazy? You can't possibly defeat..." The captain instinctively questioned, but when she looked up, she found that the Supreme Golem seemed to be bound by some invisible force, shaking violently but unable to move an inch.

"Is that a deal?" The boy nodded in satisfaction. "This is a deal that's as profitable as a swordsman's heart, one that no one can refuse."

Before his words even fell, he raised one hand and lightly snapped his fingers.

"Gaahhhh!!!" A green light burst out from the boy's robe and instantly condensed into a huge skull in mid-air. The skull emitted a chilling screech, while the two eyes burning with green flames seemed to be well-trained hounds, fixed on the Supreme Golem in front of them.

"You have five seconds to kill them." The boy said calmly.

"Gahhh!" The green light on the skull suddenly intensified, its eyes flickering with blinding brilliance. The terrifying magical energy made the captain and Haina's hearts almost stop beating.

The golem raised its head, opened its mouth, and spat out a Magic wave accompanied by intense heat.

At the same time, beams of dazzling light shot out from the skull's eyes and collided with the golem's Magic wave.

The shockwave instantly turned a large area of floor tiles into powder, and a large number of broken bricks fell from the walls. The captain and Haina were blown away and pressed tightly to the ground. The boy with green eyes stood leisurely in the center of the explosion, and his robe rustled in the strong wind.

Boom!

The Magic wave emitted by the golem melted away like snow in flames in front of the skull's light beams. Each beam hit a golem, which had almost complete resistance to Magic, and turned it into white-hot fragments.

The deafening echo reverberated in the underground palace for more than ten seconds before gradually subsiding.

The boy, having done all this, walked nonchalantly through the shattered stone door and kicked the ceramic funerary urn next to the coffin, searching inside it. Then, he directly threw a small object to the captain.

The captain, still sitting on the ground in shock, caught the object thrown by the boy. At the same time, a slight itching sensation came from her wounds. When she took a closer look, she saw that it was a water droplet-shaped moonstone pendant, the "Spring of Refreshment" that their entire team risked their lives for.

"It's the Spring of Refreshment!" Haina saw the pendant in the captain's hand and burst into tears of joy, tears streaming down her face once again.

The captain tightly held the Spring of Refreshment in her palm, biting her lower lip, as she stared at the boy who seemed to be shopping over there.

Who exactly was he? His Magic seemed to be necromancy, could he be a necromancer?

Necromancers were the Holy See's number one enemy! The Holy See's Spirits naturally countered necromancy, and any sensible necromancer would steer clear of the Holy See... so why did he come here... What is he planning?

Only to see the boy searching the coffin, and to everyone's horror, he directly lifted the luxurious lid adorned with various gemstones from the saint's coffin! And he didn't stop there, he reached inside, rummaging in the coffin.

That was the body of the Holy See's saint! Desecrating the body of a saint, compared to this sin, the captain stealing a pendant was just a drizzle! In front of the captain and Hana, the boy's actions gradually became strange. He reached his hand into the coffin, as if grabbing onto something, and slowly pulled it out.

The captain and Hana almost popped their eyeballs out – from inside the coffin, a beautiful girl wearing a gorgeous dress, with her eyes closed and blonde hair, rose slowly as the boy pulled.

"He...he..." Hana trembled in fear, "He will be hunted to the ends of the earth by the Holy See..."

The boy supported the now sitting saint's body and slowly stepped out of the coffin, standing on the ground. The saint's eyes were now open, although her body was blessed by the Holy See's magic and hadn't changed compared to before, her eyes were cloudy and unfocused, devoid of any expression. The underground chamber was extremely quiet, with only the sound of the friction of the saint's clothes as she moved and the labored breaths of the captain and Hana trying to hold it in.

"Why does he want the saint's body..." The captain's expression on her face changed constantly. As expected, her intuition was not wrong. He was a necromancer, and a very powerful one at that!

"Let's go." The boy spoke gently to the saint's body.

The saint's body obediently took a step forward but her joints seemed a bit stiff, almost causing her to fall, but the boy caught her in time.

"Hmm...looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer. How about this, I'll carry you." The boy pinched his chin in thought and opened his arms towards the saint's body.

The saint's body also obediently opened her arms clumsily and burrowed into the boy's embrace.

"Flora is so adorable..." The boy carried the saint horizontally, seeming very happy. He let out a low laughter, took a step, and walked outwards.

The captain and Hana were completely stunned.

As the boy passed by the two of them, he specifically smiled and warned, "I've already deactivated all the remaining traps along the way, so don't tell anyone about my appearance after you leave. Although it wouldn't make a difference even if you did, in that case, I'll have to dismantle the Holy See while I'm at it. I really dislike chaos, you know."

And so, this mysterious boy swaggered while carrying the most talented and revered saint in the history of the Holy See, as if he were going shopping, and walked towards the exit.

"He! He is in love wi..."

The captain quickly covered Hana's mouth.
