It was a day in spring.

A magical car was driving steadily on a small mountain road.

Inside the car, Katie felt bored from sitting for too long, so she opened the curtains and looked outside. Just then, a gust of wind blew, causing her blue ponytails to sway in the wind.

Feeling the cool breeze, Katie squinted her eyes comfortably and leaned her delicate shoulders, looking content.

After the gust passed, Katie opened her eyes again. She had big round eyes with emerald green pupils that reflected a beautiful sheen. First, she looked at the trees beside her, then looked up at the sky. The sun was so bright that she had to squint again. She could see the blue sky and clouds, drifting freely in the unreachable sky.

The wind must have been strong as the clouds were moving freely.

"...".

The wheels of the car made a fine sound as they rolled on the ground.

Katie lowered her head and glanced at the continuously turning wheels. Then she shifted her gaze to the back where she saw two long tire marks on the ground.

Hearing someone speak, Katie turned to look at the other passengers in the car. She didn't know any of them, just happened to be sharing a ride with them. There were five other passengers, men and women.

Katie, who was 15 years old, was the youngest among these passengers.

As she looked at the other passengers, two of them looked back at her. When their eyes met, Katie instinctively looked away, pretending to look outside the window at the scenery.

Did they notice her shyness just now?

She discreetly looked back and saw the elderly man who had been looking at her earlier with a kind expression. Katie reluctantly smiled and responded, then turned her head back to the window.

Was she being overly self-important as a novice?

Katie was traveling alone to another city for the first time. She was timid and not good at communicating with people, so she always had some strange thoughts in her mind.

Like now, suspecting that everyone on the magical car was paying attention to her, a novice's narcissism.

Katie also wondered if she was being too paranoid. Why would anyone care about such an ordinary girl like her?

"Boom, boom, boom..."

"A dragon?!"

Suddenly, there was a loud noise and the driver's cry.

Then the magical car suddenly stopped, causing all six passengers, including Katie, to be thrown around.

"It hurts."

Katie accidentally hit her arm and felt a sharp pain. Her round face wrinkled, and she pursed her lips, trying to hold back tears.

Ignoring the pain, she clumsily got up and leaned against the windowpane to see what was happening outside.

She saw it, there was a colossal creature in front of them. It was covered in brown scales that shone brightly under the sun.

On its large head were a pair of fierce glowing eyes and a wide mouth with razor-sharp teeth.

What was it- a dragon? It looked similar to the ones described in storybooks.

"Roar..."

The dragon roared, and powerful sound waves made the air tremble.

To avoid having her eardrums ruptured, Katie instinctively covered her ears with both hands.

At that moment, the dragon's mighty legs moved quickly as it charged towards the magical car, getting closer and closer until it was only ten meters away, with no way to avoid it!

Katie watched in horror as the terror unfolded before her. She was so frightened that she was completely stiff and couldn't move, let alone cry for help. She was paralyzed with fear.

Why did this happen?

Why did she encounter a dragon here?

Was she going to die?

Would the dragon eat her?

Just when Katie was being overwhelmed with despair and was resigned to look at the dragon that had already come close to the magical car, a petite figure jumped out and knocked the dragon away.

The dragon staggered back over ten meters before falling, causing several large trees by the roadside to fall as well.

It was an amazing scene.
