Chapter Fifteen

Once upon a time, there was a knight who had just joined the army.

At that time, she was young and full of passion, watching her predecessors charge into battle against monsters in the camp, returning with honor and blood, drinking to their hearts' content.

To her, that was everything she yearned for. She longed to become a powerful knight, to protect those in need, to offer her loyalty to her queen and gain eternal glory and dignity, just like the heroes in the stories who were admired by all.

Her opportunity came quickly.

While escorting a group of civilians, she and her squad were ambushed.

The attacking monsters were not very formidable, not demons or demon kings, just a group of small goblins. They attacked the smaller convoy, killing her companions in front of her eyes. She fell off her horse, watching her comrades struggle and howl in agony as the green-skinned creatures she usually disregarded laughed maliciously and rode on top of them, repeatedly stabbing with their daggers until her companions lay motionless, blood slowly dripping through their metal armor. Her dying companions' eyes were fixed in a moment of panic and despair, fixed before her.

People panicked and scattered, women cried and children screamed in her ears. The green demons dragged down one woman after another, tearing off their clothes, turning them into writhing insects amidst their cries for mercy. They humiliated them in every disgustingly imaginable way.

She was a knight, a knight who protected everyone.

But at that moment, she felt a rush of heat between her legs. She sat dumbfounded on the ground, unable to control her fear. Her teeth clenched so hard they almost shattered. Instead of picking up her sword, she urinated uncontrollably as she crawled away, rolling towards a silent place, escaping towards the stretch of forest. Finally, she curled up behind a small hill and held her head tightly, crying silently, not daring to make a sound, inhaling the odor of her own urine, until she passed out, only then finding some solace.

Later, half of the civilians she had been escorting were killed.

She was not blamed because she had passed out, and they even visited and consoled her.

No one blamed her.

But her conscience blamed her.

Whenever she closed her eyes, her comrades' gazes, the surrounding screams, and the stench of blood would haunt her.

After that, she lost all her emotions and no longer wanted to say much. When she stood on the battlefield again, she no longer felt fear. Because she wanted to atone, to make up for her guilty conscience, to fight for the souls unjustly killed because of her cowardice.

So she hated deserters, she hated cowardice.

Because she knew that one person's escape would cause countless deaths, one person's cowardice would harm countless brave souls.

Therefore, deserters must die.

I silently watched the flames, not saying anything directly to Vilvy beside me. Vilvy's story was peaceful, without any changes in her tone. It was even less fluctuating than the flames in the fireplace. She silently watched the flames and softly told this story, told her own story.

I finally understood why Vilvy was so eager to kill those deserters today. For Vilvy, it should be a way to kill her past self, to kill her cowardly self, to kill the self she least wanted to remember.

I was truly taken aback. I didn't expect Vilvy to tell me about her past in such a way. We had only just met recently, and Vilvy didn't hesitate to share these things with me. Could it be that these were not the sensitive chords in Vilvy's heart that she didn't want to reveal? Or does Vilvy still have more things she is unwilling to say?

I looked at Vilvy. Her posture was still as upright as ever, and her eyes still held nothing. She spoke of her past, but she wasn't as excited as she was at noon today. Normally, at this moment, I should be comforting her and soothing her inner loneliness and wounds, right? But when I looked at Vilvy, I saw no signs of weakness, and I felt that if I tried to console her now, she would reject me.

Vilvy didn't need anyone's comfort.

She was a hero who protected others.I couldn't find any topics to talk about. I can usually chat with someone for days at the table, but I can't say a word in front of Vilvy. I don't know Vilvy, everything about Vilvy is a blank slate to me. I have no idea what Vilvy used to be like, what kind of person she is, I have no clue.

I didn't know what to say, so I stood up and softly said, "Well, I should go back now. Let's discuss tomorrow's matter later."

"Hmm."

Vilvy nodded slightly and continued to sit still in the chair, staring at the fire in front of her, like a statue. I didn't know what she was thinking, or perhaps she wasn't thinking about anything at all, just staring into the flames absentmindedly. But regardless, Vilvy's life has nothing to do with me. I need to go back and check on Lia now.

I reached the stairs and suddenly someone grabbed me and pushed me against the wall, covering my mouth. For a moment, the unexpected intrusion made me confused, but quickly I understood. It was Lia, who had grown bigger, pinning me against the wall and forcefully kissing me. But Vilvy is just behind this thin wall!!!

I looked at the eyes in front of me in terror, desperately trying to say something, but Lia completely silenced me, her eyes filled with anger and a hint of mockery.

Her leg was between my legs. I begged her with my eyes, asking her not to do this here. Although Lia might be more proactive after growing bigger, I beg you, please don't do this here, Vilvy is sitting right behind!

"Phew..."

Lia finally let go of me. I looked at the enlarged Lia with fear. Little Lia was very cute, but the current Lia carried a seductive charm. She gently embraced me and whispered in my ear, "Daddy, didn't I tell you... not to go see that woman?"

"Don't... not here..."

I cautiously listened to the sounds from behind, afraid that Vilvy would notice us. I couldn't even make a sound, as I felt the anger emanating from my daughter. She was really furious with me now. I have to admit that I did deceive Lia, but I never expected that she would actually chase after me!

When did Lia start paying attention?

"What's wrong, Daddy? Are you worried that woman will notice us? Are you afraid she would be jealous or get in the way of your relationship?"

Lia gently bit my earlobe, but I couldn't resist here. After all, if I made any sudden movements, Vilvy would probably notice...

Once Vilvy noticed, Lia would probably be in big trouble...

Lia finally let go of me. I almost felt drained by her. It seemed like she had sucked out all my blood. Lia, very satisfied, reached out and touched my neck with her fingers. She smiled and hugged me, whispering in my ear, "Daddy, don't do this again next time, okay? Lia can understand you, but if you come out to seduce other women while I'm asleep again, Lia will leave a lasting mark on you."

Lia gently released her grip on my hand and cheerfully held onto my arm. She smiled and said, "Alright, Daddy, let's go back to sleep now. This time, don't sneak out anymore, okay?"

She held onto my arm, turned around, tilted her head, and chuckled, "Daddy, don't you want to... sleep with me?"

I obediently followed Lia and walked upstairs. Lia led the way with a light laugh, and we entered the room. Then, she looked back, gently closed the door...

The next morning, when I woke up, I rubbed my heavy head. It wasn't easy to fall asleep with the presence of the enlarged Lia. I could only sleep for a while after Lia returned to normal. Although Lia became very proactive after growing bigger, she didn't really know what to do. She just liked to lick me. It seemed like Lia became even more proactive after growing bigger, but she wouldn't do anything outrageously inappropriate.

I absolutely can't let Lia know what's supposed to be done. If she finds out, she will definitely do it. After all, Lia is a succubus, yes, a succubus.

Lia was still lightly breathing, hugging my arm. Little Lia looked incredibly adorable. I extended my hand and gently touched Lia's little face, then cautiously withdrew my arm, making sure to cover Lia with the blanket. I glanced outside and didn't see the sunrise I was hoping for. Instead, it was just a gloomy white light. It seems like it's a bit cloudy today.

I carefully walked down the stairs and happened to see Vilvy coming out of the living room. I was taken aback, wondering if Vilvy had been sitting there all night. However, there was no sign of fatigue on her face. She looked at me, nodded slightly, and earnestly said, "Good morning."

"Um, good morning."

"What's up with your neck? It looks like it's been bitten. Is there a vampire?"

"No, no, no... It's just... It's just... um... I pinched it, pinched it..."

"Then pinch one for me to see..."

"Huh?!"

Later on, I demonstrated the highest level of creativity in my life and pinched a similar mark on my own neck. Otherwise, Vilvy would search to see if there were any vampires here.

Soon, Lia also came downstairs, yawning. When she saw me cooking breakfast, she paused and angrily said, "Dad!! What's with that mark!! You and that woman..."

"No, no, no! I pinched this myself!"

"I don't believe it!! Pinch another one for me!!!"

"I beg you, please spare me..."
